Strong and Beautiful Detailed with Love

Strong and Beautiful Detailed with Love

My card today is created using the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and the Strong and Beautiful and Detailed with Love stamp sets.

My inspiration today is from the As You See It Challenge–the challenge is Starburst and Lace.

And…

This card is a really easy and simple card.  The card base is from Smokey Slate card stock with a Blushing Bride mat for the focal panel of flowers from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP).

A length of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is wrapped around the focal panel and mat and tied in a bow.  Using the Delicate Lace Edgelits a piece is cut to add a bit of lacy edging to the bottom of the floral focal panel.  Seems I have used this  DSP a lot this week.OK

The greeting is stamped in Smokey Slate on a circle of Whisper White card stock that is matted with another circle that is cut from Smokey Slate card stock.  It is popped on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three  Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins are added to the greeting on the card front.

A floral panel is cut from the Petal Promenade DSP and the sentiment is stamped in Smokey Slate ink.  The sentiment is from the Strong and Beautiful stamp set and is adhered with Liquid Glue to the Blushing Bride mat which is then adhered to the Smokey Slate card base.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope you love my card as much as I loved making it.  Have a blessed day!

His Grace

His Grace

My card today is created using the His Grace stamp set. It is a lovely stamp set and perfect for Easter.

My design today comes from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for this week.

It starts with a Whisper White card base and then two layers of mats.  The Highland Heather mat shows through the cross.  The Mossy Meadow and Highland Heather card stock are adhered together using Liquid Glue.  Take a panel of Sahara Sand or Crumb Cake card stock and using one of the Cross of Hope Framelits Dies to cut the cross in the center of the panel.

I stamped the flower garland twice around the cross using Crumb Cake ink.  I then used the White Watercolor pencil from the Watercolor Pencil set to color all the flowers and leaves and then used a Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Marker to color the flowers and leaves  Using the White Watercolor pencil first allows for a softer color.

The Crumb Cake panel is adhered to the Highland Heather panel using Liquid Glue, then the cross is glued into the spot where it had been cut.  A length of Linen Thread is wrapped around the three panels and attached on the back with  Glue Dots.  A bow is made and popped in the center of the three strands of thread with a Glue Dot.

The greeting is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock.  It was cut out the shape of the stamp using Paper Snips.  By accident, it became popped where it is.  I was interrupted and not thinking laid the greeting down to go take care of what interrupted me, when I returned it was stuck tight so I had to leave in this spot.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock and matted on a Highland Heather panel which is then adhered to the Whisper White card base. Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Markers were used coloring the flower flourish from the Hold on to Hope stamp set.  I colored each flower and leave individually and since I was using Stampin’ Write Markers to color.  I would color a flower or leave and then stamp.  Took a bit of time, but it turned out great.

Thank you for stopping by today.  My wish is for your encouragement and inspiration in your own creations from visiting here.  Hope your day has been blessed!

You Are Stronger Than Most!

You Are Stronger Than Most!

My card today is from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set.  I was reluctant to buy this set only the DSP but a friend gifted this to me and I am so happy she did.  It has turned out to be a favorite.

My design and inspiration come from the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge for the week, designed by Brian King.

Don’t you think this is a beautiful combination, a panel of the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP), the Quilting Top Embossing Folder and Delicate Lace  Edgelits? I have used this DSP so much that I ordered for a third time  —  to me, it is simply stunning.  Here is a look at the colors and pattern of the Petal Promenade DSP.

Blushing Bride, Fresh Fig,  Grapefruit Grove,
Highland Heather, Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Sahara Sand, Smokey Slate, Tranquil Tide, Very Vanilla, Whisper White

Can you pick out all the colors in the DSP?

The card base is Mossy Meadow card stock with a panel of Whisper White next that has been embossed using the Quilting Top Embossing Folder.

A panel is cut from the Petal Promenade DSP and then cut on a diagonal.  One of the dies from the  Delicate Lace Edgelits is used to cut the lace edge that is separating the Whisper White embossed panel and the Petal Promenade panel. It is adhered to the Petal Promenade panel and then to the Whisper White embossed panel using Liquid Glue.

The greeting and flower motif from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut out using one of the Layering Circle Framelits which has a Mossy Meadow mat.

The inside sentiment from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and adhered using Liquid Glue.

Thanks for stopping by today.  My hope is that you find encouragement and inspiration in your own creations.  Have a blessed day!

Country Livin’

Country Livin’

It was a beautiful long weekend in this part of Georgia.  Perfect for an outside wedding.  One of my grandsons was married on Saturday so the busy time began on Monday and went all week.  I know his poor Mom is completely exhausted.  She might have been the mother of the groom, but she was sure a busy mom. The newlyweds are off to Hawaii and here we are cleaning up.  The wedding was at Rose Lawn Museum in Cartersville, a beautiful old Victorian home that is now a museum.  There is a story behind why the wedding was there.  My grandson met his bride there, he had gone with friends to a play and she was the bride in the play after it was over they were introduced and a picture was taken of them while she still had on the wedding gown.  So they could not resist having a real wedding there.  That enough now on to the card for today.

The card is created using the Country Livin’ stamp set from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  This is a stamp set that will probably be retired, so I wanted to use it at least once more before it is gone.  Colorful Seasons was used for the greeting on the card front. Well Said stamp set and the August 2018 Paper Pumpkin stamp set was used for the inside sentiment.  This Paper Pumpkin sentiment is such a great one for a sympathy card.

The inspirations for the card comes from the Fusion Card Challenge for this week

And…  Just  Us  Girls  Wild  Card  Week  #481

The card base is Crumb Cake card stock that has been embossed using the Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TEIF).  The next panel is from the Wood Texture DSP and is embossed using the Pinewood Plank TEIF.  It is adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

The boot image from the Country Livin’ stamp set is stamped on a panel of Thick Whisper White card stock using Crumb Cake ink and then Versa Mark ink and then heat embossed using Clear Embossing Powder.  A sponge dauber is used to daub Crumb Cake ink on the boots.  I picked up the wrong dauber, to begin with, and put Old Olive ink on the boots, then I daubed Crumb Cake ink over it.  It turned out quite well making the boots look older. The edges of the panel were torn to give the panel an even older look, the edges were then daubed with Crumb Cake ink.  This panel was popped on the embossed Wood panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Several sequins from the Sequin Assortment were scattered over the card front.  A length of  Jute Twine is wrapped around to give the appearance of a rope.  It is attached to the card front using Glue Dots.  The greeting is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set and is stamped in Early Expresso Ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock and then cut with paper snips to create a flag end.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock using the Well Said stamp set and a stamp from the August 2018 Paper Pumpkin.  The boots were stamped over the sentiments after being stamped off once to make the image lighter.

I hope you like my card and that you find inspiration and encouragement for your own creations.  Have a blessed day!

My card is CAS(E)d from Tamara Bertram’s 2017 card.  You can see her card by clicking on her name.  I must have found her card on Pinterest some time ago since it is a 2017 card. That’s one reason I think this stamp set will be retired, it has been around since 2017 or maybe earlier.

Happy Spring Birthday with Lovely Lattice

Happy Spring Birthday with Lovely Lattice

My card today is created using the Lovely Lattice stamp set.  Since it is a Sale-A-Bration item it will only be available for two more days or you can say three counting today.  I think this is such a beautiful card.  It is CAS(E)d from Tami Hewlett.   Mine is pretty but hers is just so beautiful, I wanted to make one.  Click on her name and it will take you there.  She also has some great tips on this post.

My inspiration comes from the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge for this week and the  Sketch Saturday Challenge.

My card starts with a Coastal Cabana card stock base, then a Coastal Cabana mat that has been cut with the Rectangle  Stitched Framelits Dies.  As my friend, Karen always says, why give instructions when you can get them better from the original source.  Tami gives great instructions on how to do the next layer which is embossed with the Crackle stamp and then watercolored.

The Lovely Lattice image is stamped on Glossy card stock using Crumb Cake in and then Versa Mark ink and heat embossing using Clear Embossing Powder.  The image is colored using Stampin’ Blends Pens in Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, Call Me Clover and the Color Lifter.  After all the coloring is finished, the image is fussy cut and popped onto the Crackled mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Coastal Cabana ink and then trimmed out to have one end as a banner.  This is popped onto the Whisper White and Coastal Cabana ribbons that have been applied with Glue Dots.  A bow is made using the Whisper White Twine.  The bow is popped on using a Glue Dot and an embellishment from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit is popped in the middle of the bow.  Several pearls from the Share What You Love Pearls is scattered over the card front.

The inside sentiment from the Detailed With Love stamp set is stamped in Coastal Cabana ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card.
