Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods

Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods

Welcome, I believe The North Pole has invaded us!  It is so cold, dare I venture out.  My nose may freeze, it looks like I am going to have to give in and wear a coat!  Is everyone excited about the event this weekend, are you counting the days until you arrive in “Hot ‘Lanta” but it is “Cold ‘ Lanta” right now, maybe it will warm-up for the weekend?

I attended a funeral today you could say,  seven veterans that the funeral home had kept for about 30 years was buried today at the Military Cemetary here in Cherokee county. No one had claimed them in all these years.  A request was made for people to line the road on Hwy 92 in Woodstock and it so happened.  I about froze, I was literally shaking I was so cold, but it was so touching to see all the people and cars and motorcycles.  There were probably 200 cars and motorcycles, plus all the police.  All the people riding motorcycles had to be really really cold.

Well on to my card for the day.  The card I am sharing with you today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Stamp Set (how appropriate since it is so cold outside).

The challenge I am entering today is Happy Little Stampers – Anything Goes with Dies.

My card base is a card from the Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card & Envelopes.  This is a great way to have an envelope that is already decorated and all you have to do is add a few of your own idea.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Stamp Set to stamp the large evergreen tree on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock.

I then cropped the evergreen using a die from the Stampin’ Up! In The Woods Dies.  I then popped it on the card base using Stampin’ Up! Mini Dimensionals.  I decorated the tree using rhinestones from Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Noble Peacock Rhinestones.  I colored some of the rhinestones red using a Stampin’ Up! Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Marker.  A star from the Stampin’ Up! Star Designer Elements was popped on the top of the tree.

Presents and the cookies and cocoa were fussy cut from a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. Up!  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set and is stamped using Versa Mark ink and Stampin’ Up!  Gold Embossing Powder.

The sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White and an evergreen is stamped in the lower corner using Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce ink.

The envelope comes in the Stampin’ Up! Night Before Christmas Memories & More Cards & Envelopes.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

  3. You’ve created a cool card 😉 Bittersweet story of the veterans. Yesterday we started looking at houses on line in northwest GA, NC and TN. We don’t really want to buy but would love to rent 6 months.
