Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes with Garden Lane DPS
Happy, Sunny Sunday! Have a fun day ’cause you know what tomorrow is–it is the today that was yesterday!
I card I am sharing is a combination of Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes and Garden Lane DSP. It is created with the challenge I am playing in today in mind.
My challenge is with the Paper Craft Crew. The challenge is to CAS(E) a card that one of the Design Team Designed.
I am CASing a card from Tina Riddle. Here is her card or click her card to go to her site.
And here is my card–
Quite a difference would you not say? Tina is so colorful. I used panels of DSP from Stampin’ Up! Garden Lane Designer Series Paper to make the focal and the background panels. To make the colors more muted and not a bright green, I used Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils in Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Daffodil Delight to color the panel and used an Aqua Painter to spread the color around.
The leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes Bundle are cropped from Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock using one of the dies and adhered to the card front using Liquid Glue. The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on the lower right corner of the focal panel.
Two of the butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala Stamp Set are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a small panel cut from the Stampin’ Up! See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper. I had to fussy cut them as I could not find my punch that coordinates with this stamp set. The butterflies are popped on using Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots.
Two 3/4″ strips are cut from the DSP and adhered down each side of the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Old Olive ink. The branch is part of the branch from the front of the card. The butterflies like the ones on the card front are stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on a small panel of the See A Silhouette DSP.
In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card. I gave the envelope flap a panel of DSP from the See A Silhouette DSP. You can see the difference in the color of the DSP on the flap and the one one the card front that was muted.
Thank you for stopping by today. Have a blessed and rested day before your work week starts.
