Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree Happy Birthday
The card I am sharing today is a fun fold called a Double Easel Fold. It is simple to create allowing you to create a fabulous card.
I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge as it is always a fun fold challenge.
I am entering Sunday Stamps Challenge. Their theme for this challenge is a color theme.
I am also entering the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge. I am choosing the left side down and the middle across. I believe my tree qualifies as wood.
My card base is Early Espresso card stock, the next layer is Crumb Cake card stock. I centered the Crumb Cake card stock layer over the Early Espresso card stock and adhered with Washi Tape to keep the layers together. I used the tree die from Stampin’ Up! Aspen Tree Dies, centering it on the Crumb Cake layer. I then ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine several times as I was cutting through two layers of card stock.
After cutting, I adhered the Early Espresso and Crumb Cake card stock together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The robin is stamped using Stazon ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. It is colored using Watercolor pencils in Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso. I colored a piece of Basic White card stock using a Blending Brush and Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Cajun Craze inks. I then cropped and embossed the leaves. A piece of Basic White is matted on a piece of Early Espresso card stock, stamped with dots flourish from Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the front of the card. The leaves and robin are popped on the piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A Crumb Cake bow is made using twine from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles stamp set is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Stylish Shape Dies. It is popped across the Aspen trees using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Early Espresso card stock is adhered to the back of the trees where the greeting is so that the Stampin’ Dimensionals will not stick to the inside of the card.
A panel of Designer Series Paper is cut from Rings of Love Designer Series Paper, colored using a Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Marker, and adhered to the inside panel. By coloring it gives the appearance of a grove of trees against the sky.
A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Graceful Tiles stamp set is stamped in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Basic White card stock. The panel is then adhered to the back of the card. It leaves ample room to write a note and sign your name.
This is a side view of the card showing how it folds.
A panel of Rings of Love Designer Series Paper is adhered to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap.

Aw, Shirley, this card is wonderful and perfect for this time of year. The double easel fun fold is my favorite easel and perfect for non-crafting recipients. They can figure it out without a tutorial! LOL Thank you for playing at Creative Creases Challenge and hope you can join in again soon.
