Stampin’ Up! Lovely Is The Day Holding On To Hope

Stampin’ Up! Lovely Is The Day Holding On To Hope

Good Friday morning all!  Three more Fridays and it will sure Nuff be Good Friday!  Hope your week has been as good as can be with all the new situations cast upon us.  I hope everyone is staying in, enjoying family time and creating beautiful cards.

If you listen to the media you will be scared out of your wits – I refuse to let them scare me—what will be, will be and we will be around the mountain to the other side before we know it.  Help others when you are able.  My neighbor and good friend around the corner keeps texting and calling wanting to know if we need anything (you know since we are too young to go out🙂) even though we live with our son.

At the beginning of the month, we were self quarantined because we were indirectly exposed to the virus.  Can you believe the first case in our county happened to be a child at the school where I had worked and my friend works still?  Now here we are having to stay in again,  because we are too young to be out.  We did sneak out to the park for a walk though, not very many on the trail.  Just a few young ones like us!🙂

Anyway, I have enough distraction from my card crafting as it is and I do not need this added, how about you?

The card I am sharing for today features the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Is The Day and Hold On To Hope Stamp Sets.

Today’s challenge is with The Sisterhood of Crafters.  Their theme for this challenge is Easter.

Start with a Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue card stock base and a background panel of the same that has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder. Add a panel of Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock embossed with the same embossing folder.  Next comes a panel of Stampin’ Up! Old Olive card stock cropped using the rectangle die from Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Thoughts Dies.

The art piece is a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White cropped using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Dies, the cropping is done after the artwork has been stamped and colored.

The artwork is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Tuxedo Memento Black Ink, stamp off once, on the Whisper White panel.  I stamped the cross on masking paper and popped in the middle of the panel so the field of flowers could be stamped.  I also masked the flowers twice in order to get as many flowers as needed.

Using a Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue Watercolor Pencil I colored the sky lightly and using an Aqua Painter spread the coloring around.  When dry I stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink, the hello in the corner.

Using a die from the Stampin’ Up! Cross of Hope Dies, I cropped the cross from a panel of Stampin’ Up! Copper Foil Sheets, I then cropped the vine using a die from Stampin’ Up! Botanical Tags Dies. The vine is woven around the cross then popped in the masked spot on the card front.  Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Pearl Basic Jewels are added around the art piece.  All the layers are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  A single flower from the Lovely Is The Day stamp set is stamped in the corner and colored using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Markers in Light Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.

A Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Subtle 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper added to the panel.  All the card cuts for this card can be found at the end of the post.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

April’s kit even includes Mother’s Day and Father’s Day sentiments, giving you the perfect way to show your appreciation for beloved parents on their special days with a beautiful, handmade card.

One more thing about this “fam-tastic” kit: The Paper Pumpkin team knows that everyone’s clan is unique. With that in mind, we provided sentiments that would include anyone in your life who feels like family; for instance, “brothers” and “sisters” who have helped you along the journey of life.
