Stampin’ Up! Love & Happiness Anniversary Card

Stampin’ Up! Love & Happiness Anniversary Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Love & Happiness Stamp Set along with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Sweet Talk DSP was used for the fussy cut hearts.  All of these are new items from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.

My card design is inspired by the design from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

My card starts with a Basic Black card stock base with a panel of the same embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder.  This panel is matted to a Smoky Slate card stock panel then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Hearts were fussy cut from a panel of the Sweet Talk DSP and matted on Smoky Slate and then Basic Black card stock. Silver thread is wrapped around four fingers several times to create loops, then adhered to the embossed panel.  The hearts were then adhered over the silver thread using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Love & Happiness Stamp Set is used to stamp the greeting in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock.  It is popped over the bottom of the hearts using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is another stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Love & Happiness Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Black ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Hearts are again fussy cut from a panel of the Sweet Talk DSP and adhered below the sentiment.  I masked part of the Happy Anniversary stamp as I only wanted the Happy Anniversary part for my card.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Sweet Talk DSP adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I can’t believe it has been 5 weeks since I got to create a card.  It has taken me a while to get this one made, but I remarked to a friend when I could make a card again, I would know I am on the road to recovery.  It may take me two-three days to get one made but it is surely an improvement.  I have missed card-making so much.  I am sure all will agree there is something about making a card that is soothing to the soul.
