Stampin’ Up! Paper Florist — Love & Big Hugs!

Stampin’ Up! Paper Florist — Love & Big Hugs!

I believe this is my favorite item in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.  The card I am sharing today is created using it  – Stampin’ Up! Paper Florist Dies.  They are stand-alone dies meaning there is no stamp set it goes with to create a bundle.  I am excited thinking of making more card with these die.  I also used Timeworn Tiles 3D Embossing Folder and the Stripes Folder from Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders.

I am inspired by the sketch design for the As You See It Challenge.

I am inspired by the optional theme of the Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge — butterflies.

My card base is Basic White card stock.  I embossed a panel of the same using Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered this to the Basic White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Next, I cut a piece of Basic White card stock 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and embossed it using the Stripes Embossing Folder from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders.  This piece of embossed card stock is adhered down the middle of the Timeworn Type 3D embossed panel using Multipurpose Glue again.  I cut a circle frame from Basic White card stock also, using the two largest dies from Stylish Shapes Dies.  The negative piece left will make a nice piece for a later card.  The circle frame is popped over the Stripes embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This is a close up of the card so you can see the embossing on both the Timeworn Type panel and the Stripes piece down the middle of the card.

The flowers are die cut from Balmy Blue, Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Bubble Bath, Mango Melody, Orchid Oasis, Pretty Peacock, and Real Red card stock.  The leaves are die cut from Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, and Shaded Spruce card stock.  The flowers and greenery are arranged around the Basic White circle then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set and is stamped in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White card stock then die cut with a die from Cheerful Daisies Dies.  Adhesive Backed Sequins are popped around the card front.

A Basic White envelope gets a bunch of flowers from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies stamp set stamped on the envelope flap in Memento Black ink. It is colored using Real Red, Orchid Oasis, Bubble Bath, and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used this retired set because there is no DSP or stamp set to use that goes with the dies.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!

  1. Shirley, this is stunning! You’ve lit a fire in me to get my set of dies out and get creating with it! I love your textured background as well. It really showcases the spray of florals in the best way possible. Thanks for joining us this week as As You See It Challenges!

  2. Shirley, this is a beauty! I love the mix of textures in the background – they are subtle yet give a gorgeous ground for that fabulous semi-wreath. I just got this set of dies and have yet to crack it open. You’ve given me even more incentive to make time for it. It’s a great interpretation of my sketch. Thanks for joining us again at As You See It.

  3. Just stunning, Shirley! One of the best I’ve seen with this die set! 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Mary for your always encouraging words. I appreciate them so much.

    1. Darlene, thank you so much for your comment. You are always so encouraging with your comments.

  4. Wow, Shirley, this is over the top STUNNING! Beautiful job with those gorgeous flower dies – I was a little intimidated by them, but you hit the ground running with them! I love your background for them, too – great idea to use one of the narrower EFs for the center column – so smart! Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!

    1. Heather, you are always giving me encouraging words, I always appreciate your comments so much.
