Stampin’ Up! Hues of Happiness — Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Hues of Happiness — Thinking of You

The card I sharing today is created using Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper, By The Bay Designer Series PaperBasics 3D Embossing Folder, Gold Adhesive Back Swirls, Framed Floret Dies, and Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set.

My card design is inspired by the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge.

I am also entering the As You See It Challenge — their theme is Spring Clean Your Stash!

My card base is Basic White card stock.  I embossed a panel of Polished Pink ( I’m hoping Polished Pink is one of the colors that will remain in Stampin’ Up! Color Refresh instead of being retired.  I believe it is the best pink we have had since  my 16 years of Stampin’ Up!) card stock using one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders.  I adhered this to the Basic White card stock card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I die cut one of the ovals from a woodgrain panel of By The Bay Designer Series Paper using a die from Framed Floret Dies. I embossed the oval and frame using the Timbers 3D Embossing Folder. I then brushed the oval and frame with Soft Suede ink using a Blending Brush. I popped the oval and frame onto the Polished Pink embossed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I fussy cut roses from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  I die cut leaves and sprigs using dies from Framed Floret Dies.  The roses and greenery are popped around the frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added Brushed Brass Butterflies and Gold Adhesive Backed Swirls around the card front.

Using a die from Stitched Rectangle Dies I die cut a panel of Basic White card stock and matted on a panel of Polished Pink card stock that is embossed using one of the dies from Basics 3D Embossing Folder.  A wild rose is fussy cut and adhered to the bottom of the panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of By The Bay  Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

  3. Shirley your flowers accent your antique frame beautifully and the pink makes a lovely bright backdrop – I hope this colour stays too, but am also longing for a return of Pink Pirouette! Thanks for playing along with our Spring Clean Your Stash challenge over at As You See It this week!

  4. Thanks for joining our challenge, Shirley! It’s always amazing what we find in our stashes, isn’t it? I love the contrast between the pink background and the woodgrain frame.

  8. Such a bright & pretty card, Shirley. It’s amazing what we can create from our scraps & offcuts isn’t it? I do like polished pink as well, but probably don’t use it as much as I could. Thanks for joining our challenge to spring clean your scraps at As You See It

  9. This is a very pretty card, Shirley. You’ve used the frame well to showcase the fussy cut flowers. I’m interested in your comments on Polished Pink: I have my original packet of PP from which I’ve used maybe one sheet since it first appeared! So, I wouldn’t miss it at all! It will be interesting to see what stays and what goes. 🙂 Thanks for joining in our use your scraps Spring Clean challenge at As You See It,
