Stampin’ Up! Hues of Happiness- Friend

Hello Everyone, is everyone having a nice sunny, lazy Sunday afternoon?  Here in Georgia we have a gorgeous Fall day with temperatures perfect and tho’ it is Georgia, the sky is Carolina blue.  For some reason, I always think of my FIL when the sky is Carolina blue, maybe it’s because that’s where he lived.  He always spoke of how blue the sky is this time of year.

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and Hue of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  I put a decorative clip at the top of the card to hold it for picture taking.

I am entering the Alphabet Challenge, their theme is N for Nature.  I believe all the roses on my card are part of Nature.

Start with a piece of 5-1/4″ x 12″ card stock or Designer Series Paper.   The above photo is for diagram purposes only.  I used the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  Score the card stock or Designer Series Paper at 1″ 4″ and 8″.  The first fold is a valley fold, the second is a mountain fold and the third is another valley fold.

This is how it looks using Designer Series Paper.  This is a great way to use up all that Designer Series Paper you have in your stash.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on a piece of 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ Basic White card stock and matted on a piece of 2-7/8″ x 3-7/8″ Gorgeous Grape card stock.  A rose from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper is fussy cut ( I know the dies will crop it, but not as close as I like) and popped in the corner of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A panel of Gorgeous Grape card stock is cut 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ for the card base.  The z-fold is adhered to the Gorgeous Grape card stock base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Fresh Freesia card stock is stamped with Versa Mark ink with a rose from Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set.  The Panel is then adhered to the back of the center panel as when the card is folded you see that panel.  A 7/8″ strip of the same Designer Series Paper is adhered to the 1″ fold on the card front. A circle is cropped from Basic White card stock using a circle from Stylish Shapes Dies.  A rose and leaves are fussy cut from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper and adhered to the circle.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on the circle.  The circle is adhered to the 1″ fold using Tear & Tape that has been applied down the middle of the circle and rose.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
