Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses Hello card
The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses stamp set.
I am entering the Alphabet Challenge. Their theme is F for Friendship. This is good as the card I made is for a friend that is vision impaired. She will be able to see it with a magnifying glass.
This is the way the card looks when it is closed. A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Scalloped Contour Dies for the two birdhouses from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses stamp set. One is stamped in Crushed Curry ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, the other is stamped using Night of Navy ink stamped off once. They are fussy cut and popped on the Basic White cropped panel. Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped on the birdhouses. Amazing how all look a different color, I guess that is why they are called Iridescent.
This diagram is compliments of Mary Deatherage. Click on her name and you will be taken to her blog to see her card.
My card base is Soft Suede card stock cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. I scored along the long side. Score at 2-1/8″, 4-1/4″, and 6-3/8″ using a Paper Trimmer. I then turned it to the short side and cut from the first score lines 1-1/2″ from the card edge down to the third score line. I turned the card and did the same on the other end of the card cutting from 1-1/2″ from the card edge.
Mats are cut from Night of Navy card stock. The large one that is the mat for the art piece is cropped using a die from the Scallop Contour Dies. The DSPs are Ring of Love DSP, a free Sale-A-Bration item with a $50 purchase, available July 1.
The music notes are from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set. They are stamped in Night of Navy ink around the card.
The sentiments are from the Stampin’ Up! Through It Together stamp set and are stamped in Night of Navy ink on Basic White card stock and cropped using dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
This is the way the card looks when it is open and standing.
A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Rings of Love DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
