Stampin’ Up! Freshly Cut Flowers — Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Freshly Cut Flowers — Thinking of You

A few days ago a team member posted a beautiful card and it reminded me that I had bought this stamp set, never used it and now it is getting ready to retire.  I decided I should make at least one card before it is retired.  I used Stampin’ Up! Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set, and one of the embossing folders from Basic 3-D Embosssing Folders.  Maybe I can get one more made before the retirement date.

I am entering Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenge for this card.

I started by embossing a panel of Basic White card stock using an embossing folder from Basic 3-D Stampin’ Folders.  I adhered this panel to a Basic White card stock card base.  I cut a strip of Poppy Parade card stock and a strip of Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper adhered down the left side of the embossed panel.

I stamped flowers from Stampin’ Up Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set on a piece of Basic White card stock, coloring using Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay, and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers.  After coloring I embossed the piece using the same embossing folder as using on the card front.  The piece is matted on a piece of Poppy Parade card stock and popped on the card front over the Poppy Parade and Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper strips.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set is stamped on a scrap of Basic White card stock in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  It is then die cut using a die from Stitched Rectangle Dies (soon to be retired).  A few loops of Gray Linen Thread is added behind the greeting and it is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I colored pearls from Pearl Basic Jewels using a Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Marker.  I popped these around the card front and on the inside as you can see in the next photo.

A panel of Basic White card stock get flowers from Stampin’ Up! Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set stamped in the upper right corner using Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The flowers are colored using Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay, and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers.  A panel of Poppy Parade card stock is used as a mat for the Basic White panel.  The panel is adhered to the Poppy Parade card stock mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Two Pearl Basic Jewels colored with a Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Marker are popped on the panel around the flowers.

Basic White Medium Envelope gets a piece of Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

  1. Oh, Shirley, I hate it when I haven’t used a stamp set and it’s retiring. That happened to me this week with the Olive Branch set. In any event, I’m so happy you used yours and entered it in Pammie’s Inky Pinkies.
    Karen, DT
