Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer

Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer

Happy Sunday, the last weekend before Thanksgiving.  Do you have your menu all planned or is it going to be hurry, hurry, rush, rush to get the last minute details finished before the big COOK begins?  I don’t even have to think of it as my two sons will do the cooking, isn’t it nice to train your sons that way.  I always told them they may live alone someday and need to know how to cook.

The card I am sharing today is really simple.  It is the negative piece left from making another card, but it works perfectly to make this one.  It is from the Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer Stamp Set.  Since this is a piece of foil card stock and it doesn’t photo very well, or I should say, I can’t get it to photo well — pictures are few and you don’t need very many instructions as you can see.

I am playing along with Freshly Made Sketches today.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler card stock as is the panel embossed using the Stampi’ Up! Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. Then you have the Stampin’ Up! Gold Foil piece left from another card that is matted to a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Wrapped In Plaid Designer Series Paper.  Add a few Stampin’ Up! Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels and your card is finished.  I almost forgot the deer’s bowtie which is the greeting from Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set.

On to the inside where you have a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Rose Stamp Set along with a deer that is cropped and matted on a panel of the Wrapped In Plaid DSP.  I told you it was simple and easy.

My Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the Wrapped In Plaid DSP added to the flap.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

  1. Love the plaid deer! Great card! And aren’t you smart to have those boys doing the work. I’m looking to have mine helping me too. So glad you joined us this week at FMS!

  2. What a great idea and a great way to use these pieces of card stock that might otherwise be thrown away. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

  3. CASEing! I rarely think of using negative space. I love the red, gold and plaid together…stunning. You are so right about teaching our children how to cook. My son is a great cook, my nephew is a chef and my daughter does not do the cooking because her husband fixes gourmet meals. I love to cook AND I love to eat! I hope you have a delicious Thanksgiving.

  4. What a beautiful set of cards! I love gold and red together with that pretty plaid! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
