DAINTY DELIGHT W/HAPPY HEDGEHOG FENCE EASEL FUN FOLD FOR THE SU DEMOS FUN FOLDS BLOG HOP
Welcome to our Blog Hop!
We have a great lineup of talented crafters for you today, who enjoy creating fun folds. If you love fun folds, I am hoping you find inspiration and enjoyment so much that you will be inspired to join us next time. You are in for a treat with all the talented demonstrators participating. You can find that list located at the end of the post about my card creation.
The card I am sharing today for our Blog Hop is created using Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight stamp set and Dies and greeting and sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set. An embossing folder from Basic 3D Embossing Folders.
I cut a piece of Basic White card stock 5-1/2″ x 11″. I scored at 2-3/4″ and 7″. The other marking in the above diagram are pencil markings instead of hard scoring. You should watch Terri Gaines video. Click on her name and it will take you to her PDF and video. She gives great instruction about creating the fence. She also gives a great tip about keeping the fence post even. The 2-3/4″ is a mountain fold and the 7″ is a valley fold.
To create the fence and fence post, I cut (6) strips of card stock 1/2″ x 2-1/2″ for the post, each post gets 2 pieces and (3) fence rails 1/2″ x 5-1/2″. I die cut daisies from Daffodil Delight card stock using the daisy dies from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Dies. The vine is another die from the same set and is die cut in Garden Green and Granny Apple Green card stock. The bird and butterfly are from Stampin’ Up! Happy Hedgehog stamp set. They are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored using Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, and Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends Markers. Die cut (3) pieces of grass from Garden Green card stock using a die from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Balloons stamp set.
One piece of the grass goes on the panel that has the easel stopper. Another piece goes on the bottom of the card so when the card is closed grass will show through the fence. The last piece is adhered to upper section of the easel panel so grass shows through the fence. A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a Basic White card stock scrap, matted on a small piece of Garden Green card stock, and adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Daisies are popped around the sentiment.
A Basic White envelope gets a greeting and greenery from Stampin’ Up! Around The Bend stamp set stamped on the envelope flap in Garden Green ink.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!
