Stampin Up! Colorful Seasons
I love how this card turned out. My goal was to make a simple fall type card for the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge this week. I used the Stampin Up! Colorful Seasons and Pleasant Pheasant stamp set.
Which looks the best with or without the jewel embellishments?
I started by cutting a panel of Thick Whisper White cardstock and coloring it with different watercolor pencils in fall colors–Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Early Expresso. I then used an Aqua Painter to wet the paper well and using the brush tip I swirled the water all around to mix up the colors to make them more fall color looking. I put this panel aside to dry while completing other parts of the card. Leaves will be cut from this panel when it is dry.
My card base is square 5-1/4 x 5-1/4 in Daffodil Delight. I cut a mat from Early Expresso 5 x 5 and adhered to the card base. A panel of Whisper White 4-3/4 x 4-3/4 was put through the Big Shot using the Subtle Embossing folder. The leaves, once cut using the Seasonal Layer Thinlits that coordinates with the Colorful Season stamp set, will be adhered to this panel.
The inside sentiment panel is matted with and Early Expresso mat. The sentiment is from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set. I added the pumpkin and sunflower bucket from the Pleasant Pheasant to the sentiment panel.
Cuts for this card will be at the very end of this post.
