Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You

I am using the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You stamp set to create my card for today.  I turned it into a graduation card to celebrate my granddaughter’s high school graduation.  We have had graduations every week during the month of May and this will be the last for the year.  Between weddings and graduations, we stay quite busy.

I am joining the Sweet Stampin’ Challenge for today.

My card starts with a Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock card base.  The card front has been embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Oh! My Stars Embossing Folder (retiring June 3).   A panel from Stampin’ Up!’s 6″ x 6″ Regals Paper Collection.  It has been cut in a certain shape that I learned from Jaimie Babarczy.  This panel is adhered to the card base using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.  The art piece with my little graduate is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.  The image is colored using  Stampin’ Up! Real Red and Basic Black Watercolor Pencils.  The greeting celebrate is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink also. A small square of Basic Black card stock was cut to make the Mortar Board. (The square academic capgraduate capmortarboard (because of its similarity in appearance to the mortarboard used by brick masons to hold mortar) or Oxford cap, is an item of academic dress consisting of a horizontal square board fixed upon a skull-cap, with a tassel attached to the center.)  The tassel is created by using a scrap of gold thread from my sewing box.  A Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewel is used as the button for the mortarboard.   The art piece is popped on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Well Said stamp bundle and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The word happy is cut from a scrap of the Regals paper and adhered using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

An envelope has its flap decorated with a panel of the Regals Bright paper also.

Thanks for stopping by today.  May your day be blessed.

  1. Such a lovely creation, I love it!! It’s so perfect for our ‘family’ challenge at Sweet Stampin’. I bet your granddaughter loved it. Thanks so much for joining in with us. Hugs, Wends xoxo SS DT

    1. Wendy, thank you so much for such a sweet encouraging comment and for using your time ( I value time, it is something we can never re-gain once gone) to stop to leave it.

    1. Thank you Amy. They are Alabama colors instead of Georgia. I told her I would still say Go Dawgs! instead of Roll Tide!
