Stampin’ Up! Beary Christmas — Hello

Stampin’ Up! Beary Christmas — Hello

Still making Christmas cards.  I know Christmas is soon, but I have a few that I forgot to make.  Had all the pieces cut since October but kept putting them off.  Now it is crunch as Christmas is in a few days.  But these are hand delivered so it will be fine.

The only stamping on this card is the greeting and sentiment.  I used Stampin’ Up! Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper.  When I looked at he paper I knew it would make a great fun fold card.

I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge for this card.

I started with a Basic White card stock card base, adding a panel of Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I know that Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place stamp set is retired, but I just had to use it with this Designer Series Paper, I always think of penguins and polar bears together, whether they really are or not.  I had to borrow a stamp set as I do not have it, but wish I had purchased now. My cute little penguin is created from a piece of black glitter card stock that I borrowed also.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set.  I had to do a little masking to get just the word HELLO.  I put a ribbon around the card to close it better as it is a thick fun fold.

You can see from the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper that I am using what a great piece it is for a fun fold.  This card I cut the fun fold all in one piece, later  I will show both cards I made as fun fold, the other one I cut the fun fold in two piece so I could layer it but I think by layers it made the card thicker.  The penguins are placed around the card joining the polar bears in creating the  fun scene.  The penguins are stamped from Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place stamp set. The scarves, bow ties, hair bow and knit caps are stamped, then fussy cut and adhered to each penguin. Adhesive Backed White Sequins from Adhesive Backed Sequin Trio are popped around the card front and inside. Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper  is used as the background.  I think the blue piece makes for a good background as the blue looks like a snowy sky.

You can see in this photo how the inside layer is folded.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place stamp set is stamp in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, trimmed and adhered to the top of the right side panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

These are the two fun folds I made. The one on the left is only one layer inside, the one on the write is two layers, one layer is the two the one with the two penguins, the other is the one with the one penguin.  He looks like he is resting on the top of the first layer but he is adhered to the second layer by the blue tree and the bear with the Christmas tree.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper but a different pattern . The piece is cut 2-1/4″ x 6″ and adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!
