Magnolia Lane

Magnolia Lane

A busy time at our house right now.  It is the month of May and every weekend in May is full up with Graduation,  Graduation, Wedding Showers, Graduation!  Did I happen to say we are having Graduations?  What does all that equal?  Money!!!

My card is created using the Magnolia Lane DSP.  It made a beautiful card but lots, and lots of fussy cutting.  Wish there had been a die that fit the flowers I cut.

My sketch design is from the Paper Players

Soft Sea Foam card stock is used as the card base.  Next a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock is embossed using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  This panel has Whisper White latticework  from the Wonderful Romance stamp set in both directions — horizontal and vertical —

The flowers are fussy cut from a panel of Magnolia Lane DSP.  I have adhered them to a Whisper White circle to make all the small pieces more stable before popping on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three Basic Adhesive Back Sequins are popped in various spots on the card front.  The greeting stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and then cut out in the shape of the stamp.

The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Whisper White that has a strip of the Magnolia Lane DSP adhered to the left side that has been matted using Petal Pink card stock.  The Whisper White panel has a Mossy Meadow panel.

Thanks for stopping by today!  My hope is that you have a blessed day!

  1. Your card is gorgeous. Love the lattice borders and the pretty magnolia. Great job fussy cutting the flowers. They look great against the mossy meadow woodgrain panel.

  5. This is so beautiful! I love magnolia’s and mine are about ready to burst open in Atlanta. The inside and the envelope are perfect, too! So happy you joined my sketch challenge at The Paper Players this week! XX

    1. Thank you Claire for your sweet comment. Is it that time for magnolias in Atlanta. Mine bloom later. I live in Canton. Used to visit all the flowers in the neighborhoods near the Governor’s Mansion when we lived closer in.
