Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary

I made this for one of my Stampin Up friends and hope that it has been received by now so she won’t see it for the first time on here.

My card today is made from products from the Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Brations catalog.

I started with one of the cards from the Tutti Frutti card pack, FREE with a $50 purchase from the Annual or Occasions catalog.  I then cut a piece of the Petal Passion DSP from the Occasions catalog. Cut 4 x 5-1/4.  I colored it using my Stampin Write Pens. I cut the piece at an angle and used both pieces on the card, leaving a  space between the two pieces.  I cut the word CELEBRATE using another Sale-A-Bration product, which is FREE with a $100 product purchase from either the Occasions or Annual catalog.

I cut the flower from a scrap of Daffodil Delight cardstock and the leaves were cut from Old Olive cardstock.  I adhered these to the front using Stampin dimensionals.  I used liquid glue to adhere the word CELEBRATE to the card.

The inside sentiment is stamped using Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock cut at 4 x 5.  I matted it on another piece of the Petal Passion DSP, adhering it to the inside of the card using liquid glue.

I  visited Samford University today with my granddaughter.  They have a great school of dance and that is what she is thinking of choosing as a career.  She has danced since she was three.  She is a beautiful dancer, would you not agree with me.

We have let you know some of the challenges we’re experiencing in maintaining an adequate supply of Stampin’ Blends. Extremely long lead times with our supplier, combined with an unexpected increase in demand, has caused many of our current 27-color offering to go on backorder. You’re probably already aware of the increasing backorders and low-inventory alerts for many of our Stampin’ Blends.

At this time, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to make our entire Stampin’ Blends product line unorderable until approximately the end of May. This is not a decision we came to lightly; but with backorders only likely to get worse in the coming weeks, it is in the best interest of the company to temporarily make them unavailable.

Stampin’ Blends will be made unorderable beginning Friday, March 23, noon (MT).

We will keep you posted on the availability of Stampin’ Blends as we learn more.  If you want to order before the deadline click on the picture above and you can order from my online store or click here

If you need any stamping supplies, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator. Just click on the Order Stampin’ Up! Online to go directly to my online store or drop me an email if you have any questions. Happy Stamping!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter

It is storming outside, so the weather channel advises.   They say we are going to have golf ball size hail.  Sure hope not.  Cars will be damaged.  A tornado watch is in effect until 4 a.m.  We have barely a dribble.

Can you believe Easter is two weeks away?  Maybe the weather will be nice and warm on that Sunday.  It seems it is winter one day, spring the next and summer the next.  It can be 30 degrees in the morning and 70 at 3 pm.  Not complaining just stating facts.

I am using one of the envelopes from the March Paper Pumpkin to make my card.  I told someone that the envelopes in the March Paper Pumpkin were too pretty to just use for an envelope, so I created a card from it.

I trimmed the back side of the envelope.

The art piece of the envelope is 5-3/8. The cards I usually make are 5-1/2, so this card is larger 7-3/4 total.  I will use a business size envelope for mailing.

The piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock that I used for the card base is only 11 inches long.  It was not large enough to make the fold of the card the way it should be. I took the flap from the envelope and attached it to the short side.  You can see the flap of the envelope in the picture about. It gives a nice decorative touch to the card.

I cut a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock 5-5/8 for the mat.  I adhered this to the Daffodil Delight base with liquid glue.  I then popped the art piece from the envelope. I popped the flower art piece from the March Paper Pumpkin onto the envelope art piece.  I stamped the sentiment on the from on a tag from the Paper Pumpkin.  I used the Happy Easter stamp from the Hold On to Hope stamp set from the 2018 Occasions catalog.

The inside sentiment and butterflies are from the Hold On to Hope stamp set also.  I stamped them in Pear Pizzazz. I adhered it to the card base using liquid glue.

That’s my card for today, creating an alternative using the Paper Pumpkin kit.  I really love this kit.  Was going to order refills, but there are no refills for this kit, it was so popular.

That’s it for today!  Have a great day!  Come back again.

Hey Stampin Friends, here it is Friday and I have many cards to make.  March has many birthdays and  other occasions that cards are needed for.  I need to get crackin’ and not be lagging behind and get in a rush when I need a card.

Here is my card for today.  Hope you like it.

The design and colors are from The Paper Players Challenge for this week.

The flower is cut from the Botanical Blooms Stamp set, now retired.  It is cut using Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  I pressed the leaves into the Pear Pizzazz stamp pad to give a little dimension to the leaves.

Blushing Bride cardstock cut at 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2

Whisper White cardstock cut at 4 x 5-1/4.

I used one of the dies from the Botanical Blooms Stamp Bundle to cut the leaf design across the card.  I adhered this to the card base using liquid glue.

The inside sentiment is one I printed from my computer, I then stamped it with a stamp from the Beautiful Peacock stamp set,  free with $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration, which only last 15 more days.  I stamped butterflies from the Blooming Basket and Basic Butterfly stamp set using Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz stamp pads.   I added a little bling to the butterflies and my card was finished.

See You Later!  Have a great week-end!  Thanks for stopping by.

Today is my first blog hop, praying all goes well.  Well! here goes. Our theme is Spring.  Spring is such a lovely time with all the flowers, all the pollen that makes you sneeze and get allergies.  The bees buzzing around when you wish they would go away.

My card is for a giving, caring person.  This person does the little things that make you feel special.  I love having friends like that.   Leaving a diet Arnold Palmer on my porch table, then calling to say go check your table.

I decided to use the Birthday Blooms set for the umpteenth time today. I love this stamp set.  It is so simple to make cards using it.  I started with a base of Soft Sky cardstock, cut at 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. I scored it at 5-1/2.

I cut a mat 4 x 5-1/4 from a piece of the Springfoils DSP.  This DSP is free with a $50 purchase until March 31.  I colored the DSP using my Stampin Write Markers, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sky.  I adhered this to the base using liquid glue.

I cut two ovals, one using Blushing Bride cardstocks and the other using Whisper White cardstock.  The Whisper White oval is used for the art piece.

I stamped the art piece using the Birthday Blooms set.  I stamped the image in  Memento ink, letting the image dry well so the ink would not blend when I colored it with the Stampin Write Markers Soft Sky and Blushing Bride.  I popped this on the Blushing Bride pink mat using Stampin Dimensionals.  I then popped it onto Springtime Foils DSP.

I stamped YOU on a small scrap of paper, using the Amazing You Stamp Set, this too is free with a $50 purchase.  The inside sentiment is stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the One in A Million Stamp set.

Blessings, have a nice day.

Now on to Julie Johnston’s blog.
