Stampin’ Up! Colors & Contour

Stampin’ Up! Colors & Contour

Friday, again, it comes once a week, but it feels like it was just Friday and the weekend.  Oh! Well!

The card I am sharing today is one we made at our Team Zoom Get-Together. We used the Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour Stamp Set along with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder,2021-2023 In Color  Shimmer Vellum Paper, and the 3rd die from the Scalloped Contour Dies.

The colors in my card go along with the colors in this Color Dare Challenge

Emboss the Shimmer Vellum panel using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  Emboss the Soft Succulent card stock panel using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. Adhered the two panels to the Fresh Freesia card stock base.  Crop a panel of Basic White card stock using the 3rd largest die from the Scalloped Contour Dies.  Using Tuxedo Memento Black ink stamp a flower image from the Color & Contour Stamp Set on a piece of Basic White card stock, crop using the die for the flower from the Scalloped Contour Dies.  Color the flowers with Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Markers and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends Markers for the leaves and stem. I used a strip of the Soft Succulent 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum Paper to pop behind the white panel.  Pop on the Basic White panel along with jewels from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.  Stamp a greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom Stamp Set.

A panel of Basic White card stock is used to stamp the sentiment from the Color & Contour Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink along with the flower.  The flower is colored in the same colors as the flower on the card front.

Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour

Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour

Hope your day is going well and that you are having a sunny but cool day, here it is hot and humid–that’s Georgia weather.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour Stamp Set, along with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

Inspiration for my card today comes from the Fusion Challenge. I chose the sketch challenge along with the pink flowers.

Start with a Basic White card stock base with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Cut a strip of Hand Penned DSP and adhered down the right side of the card front.  Stamp flowers and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  Let the ink dry well or use your heat tool before you start coloring.  Use Stampin’ Blends Markers in Polished Pink, Soft Succulent, and the Color Lifer to color the leaves and flowers.  You will use the Color Lifer a lot to get the color of pink needed.

Fussy cut the flowers & leaves. Pop the flowers and leaves on using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots. Stamp a greeting from the Color & Contour Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and fussy cut, then pop on the card with a glue dot.

I used another flower from the Color & Contour Stamp Set for the inside panel. They are colored using the same color of Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air

Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope your day has been restful and fantastic.  I had a busy day.  A baby shower for my grandson and his wife. Baby showers are so different today than when I was young.  Back then it was 10-12 ladies only and you had cookies, little sandwiches, and punch. Today’s was a spread with 100+ in attendance.  That many people are usually for weddings.

The card I am sharing today is created using images from many stamp sets.  I suppose you could say Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air is the primary set used.  I used Mountain Air, and Sailing Home current stamp sets.  Birthday Delivery is retired as is In The Meadow and Fable Friends, and High Tide but these stamp sets had the animals I need for my card so I am happy I still have them.

My inspiration for today’s card comes from the Crafty Animals Challenge.

I started with a panel of Basic White thick card stock stamping the mountains and trees from the Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air Stamp Set.  The mountains are stamped in Smoky Slate ink and the tree are stamped in Garden Green ink. One of the sentiments is from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful World Stamp Set, the other is from the Fabled Friends Stamp Set.

The fox and banner from the Birthday Delivery Stamp Set are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored using Real Red, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Misty Moonlight, and the Color Lifter  Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The bunny from Fabled Friends is colored in Smoky Slate and Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers. The birds from Stampin’ Up! High Tide Stamp Set are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.

The fawn that the banner is hiding its face and I did not notice until now and the card is gone so I can’t take another picture is from the Stampin’ Up! In The Meadow Stamp Set.  The squirrel is from the Fabled Friends Stamp Set. The portion that forms the double Z and has the fox and bunny popped on it, has been colored with the Blending Brushes using Shaded Spruce ink.  The clumps of grass are from the High Tide Stamp Set and are stamped in Old Olive ink.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Back On Your Feet

Stampin’ Up! Back On Your Feet

Happy Memorial Day everyone.  First I would like to say, I hope you take time at 3 p.m. for a moment of silence to remember the ones who gave their all for us to have the freedom we still have today.

Stampin’ Up!’s Back On Your Feet is the feature today for my creation.  This is a cute stamp set.

My inspiration comes  Just Use Girls Challenge — Wild Card Week — Spots & Dots.  I have the spots on my turtle and giraffe.

I started with a Garden Green card stock base adding a panel of Basic White as a mat for the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP.

Two Basic White card stock rectangles are cut and stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink using images from the Back On Your Feet Stamp Set.  The turtle and giraffe are colored using Garden Green, Crumb Cake, So Saffron, and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Once the coloring is finished the two art pieces are matted on Garden Green card stock and adhered to the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP panel.  Linen thread is loosely placed behind the giraffe.  Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped on both pieces.  One greeting is stamped on the art piece, the other is stamped, fussy cut, and popped on with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment panel resembles the card front with the turtle and giraffe stamped on either side and a sentiment stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink semi between the two images.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals

The card I am sharing today is created using the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set from the new May 2021- April 2022 catalog.  I think this set is one of my favorite.  I also used DSP from the Subtles 2021-2022 6″ x 6″ DSP.

My design inspiration comes from the Global Design Project Challenge.

I started with a Mint Macaron card stock card base with a panel of Subtles 2021-2023 6″ x 6″ DSP embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder then adhered to the card base.  Embossing the panel of the DSP gives it an unusual-looking texture.

A circle is cropped from Basic White card stock and then matted on a Highland Heather card stock circle.  The flowers are from the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and then colored using Rococo Rose, Highland Heather, Mint Macaron, and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I fussy cut the flowers and popped on the circle.  Three Pastel Pearls are randomly popped around the circle.

The sentiment panel has flowers from the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set stamped in Mint Macaron ink on the corner of the panel.  It is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
