Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden

Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden

My card today features the Dandy Garden DSP, soon to be retired.  Bumblebee card stock is the base with a panel of the same embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  Using a Blending Brush, Crumb Cake ink is brushed on random bricks.

My design inspiration comes from  Try Stampin’ On Tuesday.

Fusion Card Challenge — Bee Kind  This is my second entry.

A panel is cut from the Dandy Garden DSP and matted on a Basic White mat then pop on the card front over another panel of the DSP that is banded across the card front.  A narrow Basic White strip is stamped with a greeting from the new Pansy Patch Stamp Set, available May 4 to customers.  It is popped across the bottom of the Blackberry Bliss panel from the Dandy Garden DSP.  Several bees are fussy cut and pop on the card front.

Several jewels are scattered randomly on the card front.

A sentiment from the Pansy Patch Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a Basic White card stock panel.  Dragonflies from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set are stamped in the same ink at the top and bottom of the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Dandy Garden DSP added to the flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! True Love

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter and you can you didn’t sneak any candy eggs or peeps out of someone’s basket.  Did you make a Peeps cake?  Haven’t seen one of those for many years.

My card today features the True Love DSP with a little help from the February Paper Pumpkin -Bouquet of Hope leftovers.

My design inspiration is from the Paper Players Challenge

Start with a Blackberry Bliss card stock base. Adhere a Basic White card stock panel over the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue Emboss a panel of Rococo Rose card stock using the Ornate Floral 3-D Embossing Folder.  Cut the panel diagonally after embossing.

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird

Up! Free Happy Easter weekend!  I hope you have fun celebrating with family and friends.

My card today features the Free As A Bird Stamp Set and the Friends Like You Stamp Set.

My inspiration for the design is the Inspire Create Challenge.  It is a great challenge to make a fun fold card.  The design is great for a gate fold card.

Mint Macaron card stock

  • Card base — 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 2-1/8″ on both ends of card stock

First Layer :  Pretty Peacock card stock

  • Mats for art piece, cut the following — (4) 2″ x 5-3/8″– Cut (1) 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ — Cut (1) 2-3/8″ x 4-1/2″

Second Layer on card front — Butterfly Bijou DSP — Cut (2) 1-7/8″ x 5-1/8″

Second Layer inside — Basic White card stock — 1-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ Cut (2) — 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ Cut (1)– Color using Blending Brushes, Pool Party and Seaside Spray ink.

  • Basic White card stock — art piece on card front — 2-1/4″ x 4-3/8″

Stamp in Tuxedo Memento Black in an image from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set onto the Basic White card stock panel that has been colored.  Color the birds using Stampin’ Blends in Seaside Spray, Poppy Parade, So Saffron, and Crumb Cake.  Color the tree branch using Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. Color the leaves using Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and the blossoms in Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends, retiring soon.  It would be nice if they were not because Rococo Rose is a nice pink.

Before cutting the art piece for the inside into three pieces, stamp the birds from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set and color using the same colors as the front is colored.  After coloring cut into the three pieces of sizes given above.  I left the inside free of a sentiment because I want to add three and have not decided on them, it will be who I decide to send the card as to the sentiments used.

Give a medium Basic White envelope a panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are listed at the end of this post and the card cuts are at the beginning of this post because of the card created.

Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Thoughts Are Quite Curvy

Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Thoughts Are Quite Curvy

Happy Friday everyone, do you have great plans for the weekend? Or is it just a time to rest and relax and preparing for the coming week?  For me rest, sitting with an ill person all week is so tiring especially when you are an old person, but I would have it no other way.  Have a fun weekend whatever you choose to do.

My card today features two of my favorite stamp sets, Quite Curvy and Tranquil Thoughts.  This was an easy card to create, but I changed the design for the art piece three times before I was satisfied with how it looked. Have you ever had that happen?

My inspiration for today’s card is the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #412.

Start with a Basic White card stock base. Layer a panel of Basic White card stock embossed using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to the card base using Multipurpose Glue.

Colorwash a panel of Basic White card stock using Seaside Spray ink and a Blending Brush.  These brushes make color washing so easy.  The ink seems to glide onto the card stock.  After coloring, cut three strips and mat using Night of Navy card stock.  Adhere to the embossed panel.

Crop an oval using the largest one from the Stitched Shape Dies. Stamp the garland of flowers from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink onto the oval.  Color using Rococo Rose and Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends Markers. Stamp a greeting from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink between the garlands on the oval.

Crop a Basic White card stock butterfly using a Brilliant Wings Die and color wash with Highland Heather ink.  Pop onto the oval.

The first oval I cropped ended up being too small for the card front so I am using it on the sentiment panel for the greeting.  The greeting is from the Tranquil Thoughts Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. Adhere the oval to the panel, then stamp using black ink the garland from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set above and below the oval. Color using Stampin Blends in the same color as the front.

The medium Basic White envelope flap gets a panel of Oh So Ombre DSP.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! True Love

Stampin’ Up! True Love

Happy Saturday everyone! Was your week so busy it left no time for card making?  My week was a very busy one, with either taking my son to the doctor or the hospital. We went to these places so often the past week, I believe the Suburban learned the way so well it could drive all by itself to these places. Today, I will make cards and do all the other things needing to be done — like cleaning– taxes🙄, taxes!  Have a fun, relaxing weekend doing your favorite things.

My card today features the beautiful flowers of the True Love DSP with the greeting from the Very Versaille Stamp Set.  I colored them using Purple Posy, Granny Apple Green, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.

My design layout is inspired by the sketch from Sunday Stamps Challenge.  I used the layout on the right, but maybe I will get to do the one on the right also if things work out well.

After coloring the flowers, I cut the panel in half making two panels, then I cut a short piece from the top of one and the bottom of the other.  These were mounted onto Basic Black card stock for a mat. Next, after matting, the pieces are arranged on the card front.

A greeting from the Very Versaille Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink, fussy cut, and popped on the lower portion of the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A sentiment from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Two colored flowers have been added in the lower right corner.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the  2021-2022 Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP applied to the envelope flap.

f you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.
