Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms – i like you – Fun Fold

Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms – i like you – Fun Fold

This is an easy Fun Fold card that I am sharing with you today.  It is created using Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms stamp set and Dies also, the Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper.  This is a card we made today during our Team Meeting today. Carol Buckalew, a  team member,  did the demonstrating of the card .  She had sent instructions and card cuts so we would be ready to participate.  During our team meeting each month, three team members will volunteer to share their card making with the team.

I am entering the Daisy Chain Challenge for this card as their theme is flowers and my card is full of flowers.

The card base is Flirty Flamingo card stock cut at 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″.  The inside card is cut 2″ x 11″ from a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock also. Score this piece at 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″, and 8-1/4″.

Cut three (3) pieces of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″.  One for the front of the card, I used one that has flowers on it, it makes a beautiful card.  The two (2) pieces I cut for the inside is the Flirty Flamingo & Daffodil Delight Plaid.  You will see it in the next photo.

Crop six (6) leaves using a panel of the Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper. I used one of the Pretty Peacock panels.  Crop three (3) small flowers and one (1) large flower from a Flirty Flamingo panel of the Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper.

Cut a Basic White card stock strip 3/4″ x 5-1/2″.  This is to stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on the strip and then adhere across the card front. On one end of the greeting strip arrange the flowers and leaves  and adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This is the inside of the card with the panel on each end adhered down with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The fold in the middle is a mountain fold, the other two are valley folds.  Before adhering to the card base, add the Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper to three of the panels.  On the first panel stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink or Evening Evergreen ink, if you do not still have a Pretty Peacock stamp pad. (I believe Pretty Peacock ink will be one of the colors returning to us in May as Stampin’ Up! included it in the Designer Series Paper) then adhere to the first panel on the inside card, see photo above.  Adhere two of the small flowers and leaves cropped from the Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper to the two middle panels.  Add another sentiment onto the Basic White piece which is the last panel.

Add Iridescent Pastel Gems to the card front.

I adhered a panel of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Pa per to the flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle with Fragrant Flowers

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle with Fragrant Flowers

My card today is created using Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers stamp set and Dies.  I also used the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder, and a piece of Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper

My design today comes from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

My card base is Basic White card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder.  After embossing I adhered the embossed panel to the card base.  I cut a piece of Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper adhering down the left side of the embossed panel.

I stamped the flowers from Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers stamp set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  I colored the flowers using Polish Pink and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cropped a leaf and flower buds from Basic White card stock tucking them under the flowers with a dab of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered a greeting at the top of the card from and after adhering with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I realized I should have adhered at the bottom of the card front, but being stuck tight I had to be happy with where I had placed it.

I stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set in Polished Pink on the inside panel adding a panel that I had created with what is called Twisted Ribbon on the side of the panel.

I adhered a panel of Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper to the flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Queen Bee Hello

Stampin’ Up! Queen Bee Hello

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Queen Bee stamp set and the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home stamp set.  This is a card I saw from Brandy Cox.

This challenge goes well with my card today, as there are always lots of bees in the Spring.

I am also entering the Creative Creases Challenge as it is always a fun fold and my card is a fun fold today.

I started with a piece of Basic White card stock 8-1/2″ x 11″  scored at 4-1/4″ on the short side and 5-1/2″ on the long side.  On the 8-1/2″ side cut down the score line to the 5-1/2″ score line. The piece cut out can be used to cut the 2-1/2 x 3″ piece for the inside sentiment.  This will be the card base. I stamped the Queen Bee from Stampin’ Up! Queen Bee stamp set in Versa Mark, sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed using a heat tool.  I cropped the bee using a die from Queen Bee Dies.  I stamped in Mossy Meadow ink the flower spray from Stampin’ Up!  Queen Bee stamp set.  I used Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers to color.  I cropped flowers, twigs, sprigs, and leaves from Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home stamp set from Old Olive and Mossy Meadow card stock.  I cropped one leaves bunch from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.   I stamped a bee from Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home stamp set and colored using Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Marker.  All of these will be arranged on the card front and inside once the card base is finished.

  1.  Cut 3-1/4″ off the bottom of the card front.  From the piece cut off, cut five 1/2″ x 4-1/4″ strips.  Cut the strip that is left in half, this gives you two strips that will be used to anchor the other strips together.
  2.   With the sticky side out adhere a piece of Washi Tape to the middle of the card front so you can position the strips on the card front.
  3. Start at the bottom for the first strip, next place a strip at the top, leaving a space between the strip and the card base.  Place a strip in the middle.
  4. Wait until you have all the strips positioned before pressing down on the tape. If you need to adjust the space between the strips it will be easier to do if they are not stuck tight to the Washi Tape.
  5. Place a dot of Liquid Glue on each strip and place one of the two strips left over the glue and press down.     I waited until I had both strips in place so I could adjust if necessary.
  6. Turn the over so the Washi Tape is showing and gently remove the tape. Pressing down on each strip as you pull the tape will help prevent tearing the card stock.
  7. This is how the card front looks after you have finished with all the strips and trimming the excess from the bottom of the card.

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Daffodil Delight card stock and stamped it in Cajun Craze ink using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Queen Bee stamp set.  I  scored the piece at 4-1/4″ and cut from the score line to the corner, then wrapped the piece around the card front into the inside.  This is for a gift card or whatever you choose to place in the pocket.

I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock 3-18″ x 3-7/8″ for a mat for the 2-1/2″ x 3″ Basic White piece.  On the Basic White piece, I stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink.  These are adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then adhered to the card base using the same.

I stamped a strip of Daffodil Delight card stock in Cajun Craze ink using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Queen Bee stamp set.  I adhered the strip to a Medium Basic White envelope and trimmed the excess from the flap.

Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Floral

Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Floral

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Floral stamp set.  I also used a polka dot embossing folder, long tired.

My inspiration for today’s card comes from the color in the mood board and the flowers in this week’s Just Us Girls Challenge challengeJust Us Girls Challenge.

I started with a Basic White card stock card base with a piece of Basic White card stock embossed partially using a polka dot embossing folder.  The embossed panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora stamp set, I stamped three flowers in Polished Pink,  Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape ink and cropped using a die from the Two-Tone Flora Dies.  I stamped in the leaves in Shaded Spruce ink on a piece of Mint Macaron card stock and again using dies from Two-Tone Flora Dies I cropped them.

I embossed a strip of Gorgeous Grape card stock using the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder.  I then adhered the strip over the Basic White embossed panel at the halfway point between the plain and the embossed.  Over this Gorgeous Grape strip, I popped the flowers and leaves.  Several Iridescent Sequins are popped around the card front.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set is stamped in Versa Mark on a Gorgeous Grape strip, sprinkled with Basic White Embossing Powder, and heat set using a heat tool.

I stamped a flower & leaves from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Floral stamp set in Polish Pink and Shaded Spruce ink on a Basic White card stock panel.  I adhered this panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets a flower from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora stamp set stamped in Polished Pink ink to the envelope flap.

I finally had to bite the bullet as former Governor Zell Miller used to say here in Georgia.  My computer crossed over that cyber bridge and is no more so I had to buy a new one. It will not turn on and the Geek Squad could not repair it.   To me that is traumatic, I had the other one for so long and was used to using it. I’ve spent the past week trying to get it all set up and never realized how many apps you have that you depend on.  Writing this blog, I had to stop and download several apps that I use in writing my blog. I  believe we take too much for granted when using a computer.  I am hoping this one will be sufficient for the task.

Stampin’ Up! Gift Box

Stampin’ Up! Gift Box

I have made another gift box to share with you today.  This one is embossed using the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder and a die from the Basic Border Dies.  You can see my other box here.

I am entering The Paper Funday Challenges for this creation.

Start with a 8-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Sweet Sorbet card stock.  Score along the 8-1/4″ side at 1/2″, 1-1/2″ turn the piece around and score from the other side the same way.  Score along the 11″ side at 2-1/2″ and 3-1/2″ turn the piece around and score from the other side the same way.  You can see in the diagram how far to cut the score lines.  Cut a little piece out of each flap, and angle it so it will look like a wedge.  This is your card base. Using a die from Basic Borders Dies crop the top of the piece as shown in the diagram above.  I used a different die than the one shown in the above photo.  You can see the die I used in the photo below.

I cut two pieces of Sweet Sorbet card stock cropping one using a die from Basic Border Dies.  I then embossed both pieces using the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder.  Adhere the piece that has been cropped to the top of the flap as you see in the photo above.  Adhere the other piece to the bottom portion of the box.  These pieces are adhered while the box is still flat.  Adhere three Gold Adhesive Backed Swirls.

I cut a piece of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper cropping using a die from Basic Border Dies and stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Around The Bend stamp set. I adhered this piece to the inside of the flap as shown in the above photo.  Cut a strip of Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper for the belly band.  Stamp a flower from Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora stamp set in Blushing Bride ink. Stamp the leaves in Shaded Spruce ink.  Adhere the flower and leaves to a Basic White circle cropped using Layering Circle Dies, then pop the circle on the belly band using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped a greeting using Sweet Sorbet ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cutting and adhering to a scrap of Sweet Sorbet card stock.  The greeting is popped on the circle using Glue Dots.

Cut a piece of Blushing Bride card stock 4-1/4″ x 6″.  On the 4-1/4″ side score down both sides at 3/4″, fold and score.  This is your tray for your pieces of candy.  Run a strip of Stampin’ Seal down both sides of the tray near the score line. This tape is to lay your candy pieces on so they will stay secure in the tray.  The strip shown in the photo is to wrap around each piece of candy.

Once you have all your candy piece wrapped and in the tray, you can slide the tray into the box as shown above.  You can also slide the belly band over the box being careful so the edge of the box doesn’t become frayed.

This is how the box looks once the belly band is in place.
