Stampin’ Up! Charming Day

Stampin’ Up! Charming Day

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Charming Day Stamp Set and Dies, along with the three largest dies from Everyday Arches Dies.  There are many videos on YouTube showing this card.  I watched two, one by Mary Deatherage and the other by Tammy White.  You can find them on YouTube.

Using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Charming Day Stamp Set, stamp the rose image in Smoky Slate ink on one of the Basic White smaller arches.  Color the roses using Bubble Bath, Pretty In Pink, Berry Burst, Lost Lagoon, and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Textured Notes Stamp Set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a Basic White scrap.  It is popped over a few little loops using Stampin’ Dimenionals.  Using a Pretty Peacock Stampin Blend, I flicked a few sprinkles around the card. Brushed Brass Butterflies are popped around the entire card.

Card Cuts:

  • Basic White cardstock
    • cut (6) of the largest Everyday Arches Dies — 3 for the front and 3 for the back
    • cut (4) of the third largest Everyday Arches Dies  —  for artwork, greeting, and sentiment
    • hinge mechanism cut (2) 2″ x 3″  score at 1″
  • Pretty Peacock cardstock
    • cut (6) of the second largest Everyday Arches Dies —  mat for the art piece and designer series paper
  • Floral Charm Designer Series Paper
    • cut (2) using the third largest Everyday Arches Dies
    • fussy cut flowers from scraps

Die cut from Basic White cardstock the rose and stem with buds using dies from Charming Day Dies. Color the rose and stem using Bubble Bath, Pretty Peacock, and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends.  Fussy cut roses from Floral Charm Designer Series Paper.  Adhere the pieces to the smaller pieces of Basic White cardstock.  Die cut two pieces of Floral Charm Designer Series Paper using the third largest die from Everyday Arches Dies.  Adhere all three smaller arches to the Pretty Peacock arches die cut using the second large die from Everyday Arches Dies.  This is the back side of the card.  The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Textured Notes Stamp Set.

Adhere all pieces together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using the 2″ x 3″ piece for the mechanism.  Score the piece at 1″, fold in half, and give a good burnish.  Using Tear n’ Tape, adhere the first arch to the mechanism, making sure it is a tiny bit from the score line, and adhere the middle arch the same way.  Adhere the second mechanism to the right side of the middle arch, then adhere the third arch.  Turn the arches over and adhere the back side pieces to each arch.  A sentiment from Everyday Arches Stamp Set  is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Floral Charm Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards, and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my creations with you each day. I hope and wish you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Have a blessed day!

If you love card-making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card-making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves — I’m Thankful

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves — I’m Thankful

Welcome!  It’s that time — what time is that you ask!  Time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop.  It is the second Tuesday of each month. Our theme for August is “Fall Frenzy”   You can always find a group of talented ladies that make up a part of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.  Be sure you check out each person’s blog, you will find much talent and inspiration.  You may even find that you would like to CAS(E) one of the cards.  That’s an honor for the creator of the card to have someone want to CAS(E) their card.  Well let’s begin, I know you are wanting to see all the cards.

For this card that I am sharing today I used Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves Stamp Set and Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper.

I started with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Wild Wheat cardstock as the base card base.  Score at  2-1/8″ and 5-1/2″.  On the short end that is scored 2-1/8″,  mark the piece at the center of the short end, then cut from the 2-1/8″ score line to the mark on the short end using a paper trimmer.  Repeat process so you end up with a point on the short end.  (Mary give a great diagram of this)

Cut three pieces of Cajun Craze cardstock 3″ x 4″.   These are mats for the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper that will be adhered next.  Adhere one Cajun Craze cardstock piece to the card front that is behind the folded piece that has the point another to the inside of this panel and the last one to the right side of the inside panel.

This is a CAS of Mary Deatherage’s August 2, 2024 card.  She gives great instructions.  Here is another of the same that she created. Click here for this one.  I believe between the two you can find great instructions.

Using Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper cut three pieces 2-7/8″ x 3-7/8″.  Adhere over the Cajun Craze mats using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Cut a 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ piece of Cajun Craze and a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Thoughtful Journey. Adhere these two pieces together.  They will become the diamond on the card front when you adhere them to the portion of the card that has the point using Adhesive on the point only.

Cut a 2-3/4″ x 4″ of Cajun Craze cardstock, and a piece of 2-1/2″ x 3-7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Unbounded Love Stamp Set.  Stamp a twig from the same stamp set in the lower corner of the Basic White piece.

Another view of the inside of the card.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Glue or adhesive of choice.

My hope and wish are that you wilbe inspired to create amazing creations yourself. Feel free to CAS(E) any card. Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me. Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty

Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty

Happy  rainy Thursday everyone.  Good day to stay in curl up and read a good book.  I re-reading Ted Dekker’s Trilogy Books, don’t know why he calls them that when there are four; Black, Red, White, Green.  If you love mystery and time travel, you will love these.  He has written many books an in many of them he will refer back to the character in this book about something.  What good books are you reading?

My card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set, and Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set.

These are my challenges for this card:

Allsorts Challenge

Beautiful Blossoms

i started with a Basic Black card stock card base, adding a Very Vanilla cardstock layer, then a Basic Black cardstock layer, and lastly, another layer of Very Vanilla cardstock die cut using the largest die from Perennial Postage Dies.

I stamped the flowers from Stampin’ Up! Enduring Beauty stamp set in Memento Black ink on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Using the masks that come with the stamp set if you order the bundle, I colored the flowers using Bubble Bath and Berry Burst ink pads and Blending Brushes. To color the flowers I used Shaded Spruce ink and a Blending Brush.  After coloring, I used the matching die from Perennial Postage Dies to die cut the flowers.  I, also, die cut a few extra leaves from Shaded Spruce cardstock.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and matted on a piece of Basic Black cardstock.  The flowers are arranged on the Very Vanilla panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Several sequins from Adhesive Backed Sequins are popped around the card front along with gems from Tinsel Gems Four Pack.  The greeting is popped over the flowers using Stampin’ Dimensionals with a Linen bow made using Linen Thread is behind the  greeting.  The additional die cut leaves are placed around the flowers adhering with glue.

The inside sentiment panel  has the same flowers as the card front and envelope flap, stamped in Bubble Bath ink.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink over the middle of the flowers.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets the same flowers as the card front but they are not colored only stamped in Bubble Bath ink on the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Gorgeously Made

Stampin’ Up! Gorgeously Made

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Gorgeously Made stamp set and Dies.  Exposed Brick 3 D Embossing Folder is also used along with Moody Mauve card stock.

A piece of Basic White card stock is die cut using a die from Gorgeously Made Dies, then embossed using Exposed Brick 3 D Embossing Folder. This card is a CAS of one Mary Brown made but I added to it to make it my own.

Foliage is die cut from All About Autumn Designer Series Paper using dies from Gorgeously Made Dies.  They are arranged over the Basic White embossed panel and adhered using dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  2023-2025 In Color Dots are popped around the card front.  3/8″ Moody Mauve Ribbon is added at the bottom of the cluster of foliage.  A  Thank You greeting is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, then popped over the Moody Mauve Ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I created the sentiment on my computer as I did not have a stamp that said this exact message and that is the message I needed for this card.  A  sprig of foliage is stamped in Moody Mauve ink on the side of the sentiment.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper a different pattern for the envelope flap.  Cut the piece for the envelope 2-1/4″ x 6″, adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow

Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow

The card I am sharing today is a new Online Exclusive, meaning it is in no catalog but only available  in the online store.  I used Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves stamp set.

I started with a Blueberry Bushel card stock base.  I embossed a narrow piece of the Blueberry Bushel using Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.  This will be added to the card front after a panel of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper is added to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Before adhering the panel, stamp a greeting from Garden Meadow stamp set in Versa Mark, sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder, heat emboss using a heat tool.

Adhesive Backed Dragonflies and Birds are popped around the card front.  A few 2023-2025 In Color Dots are also popped around the card front.

On the inside left panel of the card, I have added another panel of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper.  I have made this a gift card holder, so a piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock is cut and embossed using the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.  The piece is then adhered to the bottom of the left side panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The right side panel gets a panel of Basic White card stock with a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves stamp set.  The panel is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope a piece of Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper is  adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.
