Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Stamp Set and the Merriest Frames Embossing Folder.  This set comes with three pieces: the Merriest Moments Stamp Set, the Hybrid Embossing Folder, and the 16 Dies included in the Hybrid Embossing Folder and you get all these dies even if you purchase the embossing folder without the stamp set.  What does Hybrid mean, it indicates this embossing folder has a coordinating die that can be run through with the embossing folder, at the same time!   There are two different dies that you can put through the embossing machine that enclose in the embossing folder.

The challenge I am joining today is the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.  I choose across the bottom, die-cut, sequins/gems, red.

I started by embossing a panel of Basic White card stock using the folder.  The picture shows two ways of doing this.  You can emboss a panel of card stock and do no cropping or you can crop using the dies enclosed in the embossing folder.  I did the second one for this card as you will see as we go on.

You can see how the die is placed around the embossed piece if you forget to enclose it in the embossing folder before you emboss it.  The piece on the right side is cropped using the more intricate die.

This is the die that crops the more intricate piece.  The label die can be used to cut the label out of the center as you crop the other piece.

I used this die to crop the background piece for the embossed piece that has been cropped using the intricate die to do so.  You can see the background piece and how it fits in the next picture.

I cropped the background piece from a panel of Tiding of Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Glue is adhered to the middle of the cropped piece so the foliage would have a bit of movement.  It is then adhered to a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock that has also been embossed using the Hybrid Embossing Folder, it has not been cropped so you can see the snowflakes around the edges.

My design is thanks to several people from Pinterest, among them is our leader, Amy Koenders, who had achieved a great milestone, one we all aspire to, she now joins the elite ranks of those who has achieved the 1M or more in sales. Along with Amy, there is Mary Deatherage, Jaimie Barbarczy, Jenny Hayward, Australia, I watched several of her videos,  Diana Gibbs, and many more.  Thank you ladies for your ideas and help in learning how to use all these dies and the embossing folder.  I suppose that is why it has taken me so long to make a card with this set, I have been watching videos.

The poinsettia is stamped in Real Red ink on a panel of Basic White along with holly leaves stamped in Soft Succulent ink and the other greenery is stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink. Twigs and stems are cropped from Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent card stock using a die from the Poinsettia Dies.  The center of seeds in the center of the poinsettia are stamped in Memento Black ink.

I stamped two of the large poinsettias and one small and layered them using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  All are arranged in the corner of the card front over the embossed piece.  Holly leaves and berries are popped in the opposite corner at the top.  Three red Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped on the card front.  The greeting is stamped in Real Red ink a, fussy cut and popped on the card front with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Tidings of Christmas 6′ x 6″ DSP applied to the envelope flap using liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Birthday Card

My card for today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Stamp Set, along with the Whimsy & Wonder DSP.

Creative Creases Challenge is my challenge for the day.  Their challenges are always fun fold and I love fun fold cards.

This is how the card looks folded flat.  I started with a Soft Succulent card stock base.  It is the regular card cut, but since this is an easel card there is another layer that is almost like a regular card.  It is Evening Evergreen card stock cut 4″ x 10″  scored at 5-1/4″ and 7-5/8″ whereas the card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

This is how the card looks opened all the way out.  Cut mats from the Soft Succulent card stock for the DSP and adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  You can see the picture above as to how the DSP & mats are adhered.

To create the angels, using Versa Mark ink, I stamped the images on Basic White card stock, sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set using a heat tool.    The angels’ hair is colored using a Daffodile Delight and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The gowns are colored by making a color wash using a Water Painter and Polished Pink ink and Balmy Blue ink.  The headband of the little angel is colored using a Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker.  Their wings are tinted using the Balmy Blue color wash.

This is a side view of how the card looks.  On a  2″ x 3″ piece of Basic White card stock stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Season’s Blessing Stamp Set in Soft Succulent ink.  Crop the greeting using a die from the Ornate Frames Dies, also crop a label from Soft Succulent card stock, adhere the two together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This gives the Basic White label a little frame at the top.  Adhered the angels to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the small angel.  When arranging the greeting label adhere twigs that have been cropped in Silver Foil using a die from the Intricate Leaves Dies.  Pop three Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock is matted onto an Evening Evergreen panel and adhered to the card base.  A strip of the Whimsy & Wonder DSP is adhered across the bottom.  This leaves plenty of room for writing a birthday message.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Whimsy & Wonder DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petal Stamp Set.

I am joining the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge for today.  I choose the bottom row across.

Start with a card base of Soft Succulent card stock, add a layer of Evening Evergreen card stock, a layer of Real Red, and last different panels of Tidings of Christmas DSP, all adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. A length of gold ribbon is adhered between the two different panels.

On Real Red card stock stamp using Versa Mark, a poinsettia from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petal Stamp Set, sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder and heat set using your heat tool.  I fussy cut the petal layers as using the dies would not have cropped as close as I wanted.  From a panel of Soft Succulent card stock, leaves are stamped in Versa Mark, sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set also. Soft Succulent ink is applied to the edges of the leaves.  Sprigs and berries are cropped from a panel of Gold Foil.  The poinsettia layers are adhered using Glue Dots.  Arrange the poinsettia and leaves, take a picture for reference, then adhere using Glue Dot and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add a few Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a greeting from the October Paper Pumpkin stamped in Evening Evergreen on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut and popped on using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Adhere another poinsettia to a panel of Basic White card stock, this is for your inside panel.  Adhere to the card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Apply a panel of Tidings of Christmas DSP to the flap of a medium white envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Birthday Card

The card I am sharing today is one we created this past weekend during the OnStage at Home event.  I would have posted yesterday, but my WordPress crashed and had to be repaired.  It is created using the new stamp set that will be available in the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog.  The stamp set is called Blessings of Home.  I remade it so I could tweak it a bit, I suppose the one we made was for a beginning stamper.

The first challenge I am joining today is Addicted to Stamps and More — Birthdays

The other one is Seize the Birthday — Anything Goes.

Start with a card base of Garden Green card stock.  I added the Basic White mat as the original had the DSP as the next layer, no mat.

Using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Stamp Set, the flowers are stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White card stock.  Using a sponge dauber and the Misty Moonlight ink, the flowers are lightly colored, then cropped and popped on the card front placing the Stampin’ Dimensionals at the top and bottom (a tip from OnStage at Home) so when the greeting is put on it helps with the bulkiness.

I cropped sprigs using the Flowers of Home Dies from Basic White and Garden Green card stock, I also used a branch die from the Intricate Leaves Dies.  These sprigs and branches were placed around the flowers.  A greeting from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, trimmed, and added to the length of the Jeans ribbon.  Several Pearl Basic Jewels are popped around the card front.  The card we made at OnStage at Home had only the flowers and greeting so you can see I have added a bit to the scene.

A Basic White card stock panel is stamped with more flowers from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set, then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A birthday message will be written in the blank space.

A medium white envelope has flowers stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on the envelope flap using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Stamp Set.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.
