Stampin’ Up! Beautifully Happy with Brilliant Wings

Stampin’ Up! Beautifully Happy with Brilliant Wings

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Beautifully Happy stamp set and Brilliant Wings Dies.

I am entering the Sunday Stamps Challenge for this card.

I am also entering the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  I choose down the left side, Die Cuts, Layers, and Butterfly.

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card stock card base.  I cut a panel of Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper, then cut the panel into three 1-1/2″ strips.  The strips are cut into different lengths.  They are then adhered to a Calypso Coral mat.

The panel with the Designer Series Paper is adhered to the card base.  A Basic White card stock circle is cropped using a die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Beautifully Happy stamp set is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink onto the circle.  The circle is adhered to the Designer Series Panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A die from Brilliant Wings Dies is used to crop a butterfly from Basic White card stock.  The butterfly is colored using Blending Brushes, Blackberry Bliss, and Mossy Meadow ink.  Wink of Stella is applied heavily to the butterfly so it will have lots of sparkles.   An Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewel is applied to the butterfly’s head.  The butterfly is popped on the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Mossy Meadow Braided Twine is used to create a bow.  The bow is popped onto the circle using a Glue Dot. Two more Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are plopped around the card front.

You can see the Wink of Stella on the butterfly wings. I did a close-up as a regular photo does not show it up very well.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets two fussy-cut flowers from Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper adhered to the lower right corner.  The panel is left blank except for these two flowers for a handwritten message.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Favored Flowers Heartfelt Sympathy

Stampin’ Up! Favored Flowers Heartfelt Sympathy

The card I am sharing today, I am letting the Designer Series Paper do all the work.  It makes for a beautiful card.  The Designer Series Paper is a Sale-A-Bration item and is free with a qualifying order.  I created a card like this design probably 12-13 years ago, long before blogging became popular. I was looking through Pinterest and come upon this card from Terri Gaines.  She has a video of creating it. You can click on her name and see all the instructions for creating it.  It is called a Twisted Ribbon. It has been too many years to remember where I first saw it.

I am entering the Can You Handle The Pressure? Challenge. Their theme is always Embossing Dry or Heat your choice.

This is not the kind of card you like to make, but sometimes they are necessary.  I needed two on the same day.  I started with an Evening Evergreen card stock card base.  I embossed a panel of the same kind of card stock using the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder. The embossed panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A 2″ x 5-1/2″  piece of Basic White card stock is cut and scored at 1/2″ intervals.  This is where you adhere the strips of Designer Series Paper to create the ribbon. I used two different patterns of the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper.  Check out Terri Gaines’s video for the placement of the strips.

Once you have finished creating the ribbon, mat the ribbon piece on Calypso Coral and Evening Evergreen card stock then adhered over the embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Flowers from a panel of Stampin’ Up! Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper are fussy cut and popped over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A double bow is created using Crumb Cake twine from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut, and popped on the card front using Stampin’ DimensionalsIridescent Pearls Basic Jewels are popped around the card front.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a Basic White card stock panel.  Flowers from Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper are fussy cut and adhered to the lower corner of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper added to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle Thinking of You

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set.  I also used By The Bay Designer Series Paper and Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper.

I started with a Basic White card base adding a panel of Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I matted another piece of the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper onto a piece of By The Bay Designer Series Paper.  I adhered the panels to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A larger piece of the By The Bay Designer Series Paper is adhered over the matted panel.

I am entering the Try Stampin’  Or Not on Tuesday.

I stamped the thistle images from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set in Memento Black ink on a piece of thick Basic White card stock.  I colored the thistle using Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers,  The thistle is cropped using a die from the Beautiful Thistle Dies.   Sprigs are also cropped from Basic White card stock using a die from Sunflowers Dies. The thistle and sprigs are arranged around the By The Bay Designer Series Paper panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots.

A greeting is stamped in Orchid Oasis ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock. A White Twine bow is made using the White Twine from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack.  The bow is adhered to the card front over the bottom of the thistle using a glue dot.  The greeting is popped over the bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls are popped around the card front.

A panel of Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper is adhered to the inside of the card base.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set is stamped in Orchid Oasis ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut and adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Panel.  A Basic White card stock piece is cropped using a die from Layering Diorama Dies.  It is adhered to the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Panel also.  A strip of By The Bay Designer Series Paper is adhered a the bottom of the panel.

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Bouquet I Love You

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Bouquet I Love You

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Cottage Bouquet stamp set, Country Bouquet Punch, Elegant Eucalyptus 3D, Embossing Folder, Layering Diorama Dies, Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper, Basic White, and Sweet Sorbet card stock. I saw a card made by Mary Deatherage my upline leader so I decided to make one.  You can see hers here.

I find inspiration from this Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge for my card today.

Cutting & Scoring:

  • Sweet Sorbet card base – 4-1/4″ x 11″ score at 5-1/2″
  • Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper — Use 4 different patterns. You can choose which pattern to cut each piece from.  These are the sizes of pieces you will need. 1-1/2″ x 2″, 1-1/2″ x 3-1/8″, 2-3/8″ x 3-1/2″, and 2-3/8″ x 1-7/8″.  This can be called Stack, Cut, and Shuffle if you prefer to cut and make four cards at once.  I only wanted to make one card so I cut the individual pieces.  If you cut for four cards start with a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of the four patterns of Designer Series Paper. Stack them and cut all four pieces at one time.
  • Basic White card stock cut 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ to adhere the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper pieces using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I like to have a base the same size to glue the individual pieces to before I adhere to a mat.
  • Basic White card stock — mat for Designer Series Paper piece– 4″ x 5-1/4″.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set is stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock left from cropping the art panel, this gives the greeting its unique shape.  A length of Petal Pink ribbon is wrapped around the card front twice along with a length of Linen Thread.  The Diorama piece is popped over the ribbon and linen thread using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Diorama is embossed using Elegant Eucalyptus 3D, Embossing Folder.  Two hearts are punched from Cottage Floral Lane Designer Series Paper and popped on the Diorama piece to become the art piece.

Using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set and Sweet Sorbet ink, I stamped little hearts over the inside panel of the card base.  A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Layering Diorama Dies. A piece of Sweet Sorbet card stock is cropped with the next largest die for the mat.  A heart from Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper is punched and adhered to the bottom of the sentiment panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet stamp set is stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink on the Basic White panel.

Basic White medium envelopes get a panel of Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper added to the envelope flap.

My card that I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds stamp set, along with a die from Birdhouse Dies, Wintry 3D Embossing Folder, Sun Prints Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! In The Moment stamp set,

My design inspiration comes from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for this week.

My card base is Basic White card stock with a panel of the same embossed using Wintry 3D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A piece of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper is cut and splattered with Whisper White Craft ink and Wink of Stella.  The piece is adhered over the Wintry 3D Embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A Basic White circle is cropped using a die from Stylish Shaped Dies. It has an array of dots stamped in Orchid Oasis ink.  The ink is stamped off once. A bird image from Stampin’ Up! Pretty Birds stamp set is stamped in Real Red, Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party, and Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends Markers.  The birds are cropped using a die from the Birdhouse Dies.  They are then popped over the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The circle is then popped on the card front over the Orchid Oasis piece and the Wintry 3D Embossed panel.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! In The Moment stamp set is stamped in Orchid Oasis ink on a piece of Basic White and cropped using a die from Stylish Shapes Dies.  The greeting is matted on a piece of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper cropped using a Deckled Rectangles Dies.  A length of Linen Thread is wrapped around three times and adhered under the greeting.  Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped around the card front.

A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from Deckled Rectangles Dies. A piece of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper is cropped using a die from the same Deckled Rectangles Dies, just a larger size as it becomes the mat for the Basic White card stock piece.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sit, Stay, Relax stamp set is stamped in Orchid Oasis ink.  Birds from Stampin’ Up!
