Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Stamp Set along with the Merry Melody 3-D Embossing Folder.

My challenges today are the We Love Stamping Challenge.  Their theme is Christmas.

Also the Stamping Sensations Challenge, it also has a Christmas theme for this challenge.

I started with a card base of Misty Moonlight card stock.  I added a panel of Basic White card stock embossed with the Merry Melody 3-D Embossing Folder. It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Whimsy & Wonder DSP is trimmed with strips of Gold Foil Sheets and adhered over the embossed panel.

The angel from the Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Stamp Set is stamped in Versa Mark ink and sprinkled with  Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.  I made a wash using Polish Pink ink and water using a water painter.  I then colored the angel.  After drying the angel is popped over the sprigs from the Intricate Leaves Dies.  Holiday Rhinestone Jewels are popped around the card front.

A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! For Unto Us Stamp Set is stamped on a Basic White scrap, fussy cut and popped on the card front.

The sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! For Unto Us Stamp Set is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on the Basic White panel. The little angel in the corner is from the Stampin’ Up! Angels of Peace Stamp Set and is colored the same as the angel on the card front.

A medium white envelope is embossed using the Merry Melody 3-D Embossing Folder.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Let’s Celebrate

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Let’s Celebrate

Here is another poinsettia, each has been different.  This one is a request from a friend for a blue poinsettia.  She wanted to know if I could make a blue one, I told her I could make any color poinsettia I chose, I am the card creator. I told her I would search Pinterest to see if anyone had made a blue one and I found one by Tina Shaw.  Again, the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set is the stamp set used.

My inspiration for today is the Just Add Ink Challenge.  The theme is Foil-Glimmer-Shimmer.  I believe my card is all three.

And  Watercooler Wednesday Tristan’s Challenge All About Occasions.  My occasion is birthday.

I started with a Balmy Blue card stock base.  It is the regular card cut, but since this is an easel card there is another layer that is almost like a regular card.  It is Pacific Point card stock cut 4″ x 10″  scored at 5-1/4″ and 7-5/8″ whereas the card base is 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″.

The Pacific Point layer is adhered to the Balmy Blue card stock base.  This creates the easel. See picture above.

I made the DSP layer as I had no snowflake DSP.  I started with a panel of Basic White card stock, stamping snowflakes using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp Set. I stamped in Versa Mark, sprinkled White Embossing Powder, and heat set.  I then used a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink to color the panel. So I have my snowflake DSP. This panel is adhered to the Pacific Point panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

This is how the card looks when it is stretched open.

To create the poinsettia, using Versa Mark ink, I stamped the images on Basic White card stock, sprinkled White Embossing Powder, and heat set using a heat tool.  Leaves and sprigs were cropped from Basic White, Pacific Point, and Silver card stock. Silver thread is looped on both sides of the poinsettia.  The poinsettia and sprigs are arranged, a picture is taken for reference, and adhered using Glue Dots and Multipurpose Glue.  Pearls Basic Jewels are used to create the center of the poinsettia.

The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp set and is stamped in Versa Mark on a panel of Balmy Blue card stock, sprinkled with Embossing Powder and heat set. A panel of Pacific Point card stock is fussy cut and used as the mat, the greeting is then popped on the easel panel using Glue Dots.  Holly leaves and sprigs are added to the greeting panel and pears are added to the holly.  A single pearl is popped by the greeting.

The sentiment panel has holly leaves and sprigs added to the corner.  The panel is left blank as requested. She wants to write her own personal birthday message.

A medium Basic White envelope will be used for mailing.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Sending Peace & Joy

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Sending Peace & Joy

The card I am sharing today is another poinsettia as this is the stamp set I am using for most of my Christmas cards.  It is a different color and layout.  Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Dies are used in the creation along with the Wintry 3-D Embossing Folder and the Stitched Greenery Die.

Inspiration for my color scheme is from the Sunday Stamps Challenge.  I chose these colors, yellow (Crushed Curry), green (Garden Green), gray(Smoky Slate, and black(Basic Black.

I started with a Garden Green card base, adding a panel of the same embossed using the Stitched Greenery Die, adhering it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card base.  Next, I cut a panel of Basic Black card stock to be the mat for the In Good Taste DSP embossed with the Wintry 3-D Embossing Folder. This panel is adhered over the Stitched Greenery panel.

Now it is time to create the poinsettia. I cropped the poinsettia from Basic White card stock using dies from the Poinsettia Dies.  Using Crushed Curry ink and a Blending Brush, I colored each layer of the poinsettia.  (Have you ever noticed the yellow poinsettias for sale at Christmas?)  Using a Sponge Dauber and the Crushed Curry ink I colored the edges of the petals to make them darker.  After coloring, I used the bone folder to curl the edges to give a little depth to the finished poinsettia. I adhered the layers of the poinsettia together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Leaves were cropped from Garden Green card stock and the edges of the leaves were colored with Garden Green ink.  Stems are cropped from Basic White card stock and colored using the Blending Brush and Crushed Curry ink.

Now, that all the cutting, cropping, and coloring are finished it is time to arrange the poinsettia with all the trimmings for it. Once arranged take a picture so you can have as reference when adhering to the card base.  I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the poinsettia, Glue Dots on the leaves and stems, also Glue Dots for adhering the ribbon to the card base.

A poinsettia from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set is stamped in Crushed Curry ink in the corner of a Basic White card stock panel with a sentiment from October Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set being used. The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  The panel is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Painted Christmas DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Cabin & Peaceful Deer Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Cabin & Peaceful Deer Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today has the use of several stamp sets, Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Cabin, Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer and Evergreen Elegance, you will see this as you go through my blog.  Along with these stamp sets I used the Deer Dies and the Eden Dies.

As today is Fun Fold Friday day, I am entering the Creative Creases Challenge, it is always a fun fold challenge.

I started with a panel of Evening Evergreen as the base.  Score the 8-1/2″ x 11″ base at 1-3/4″, 5-1/2″ and 9-3/4″.  This will give you the fold. As this is a fun fold, it uses several different patterns from the Eden’s Garden DSP.  You can see the three different patterns used on the front.

This is how the card looks when it is open full.  I used Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer to stamp the scene on the left and Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Cabin for the one on the right.

When you open the card it shows the same pattern paper on both sides of the card, but once it is closed a different pattern shows. The left side of the card uses Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer and Peaceful Cabin to create the scene.  The trees are stamped in Garden Green ink and the deer in Crumb Cake ink.  A snowbank is added at the bottom of the panel.

The cabin on the right is from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Cabin Stamp Set and is stamped in Smoky Slate ink.

The belly band is a 1-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip of Evening Evergreen card stock.  It is wrapped around the card and adhered together using Mini Glue Dots.  A die from the Eden Dies is used to crop a label from Gold Foil.  It is adhered over the closure of the belly band.  Several sprigs are added.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Eden’s Garden Stamp Set is stamped in Garden Green ink on Basic White card stock, fussy cut, and popped on the belly band.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Eden’s Garden DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is another poinsettia but instead of stamping and cropping, I used the dies to crop poinsettias from Basic White card stock, leaves were cut from Garden Green card stock, and edges of leaves were colored using Garden Green ink.  I also used Painted Christmas DSP and strips from a Red Foil Sheet.

My design inspiration for today is the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.

The card base is Garden Green card stock. A panel of the Painted Christmas DSP is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   A strip of Tidings of Christmas DSP is adhered vertically over the Painted Christmas DSP.

The poinsettia is cropped from Basic White card stock. Coloring is done using a blending brush and Merry Merlot ink.  It creates a nice pink. Leaves and other greenery are cropped using dies from the Poinsettia Dies and Intricate Leaves Dies. A dry arrangement is created to see how the placement is to be, before applying the adhesive.

The poinsettia and greenery are adhered over the vertical DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A length of the gold twine is wrapped around three times and adhered with a glue dot.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer is stamped on a scrap of Basic White card stock in Merry Merlot ink, then fussy cut and popped on the front corner.

The inside Basic White panel is trimmed with a piece of the Painted Christmas DSP.  A poinsettia is stamped in Smoky Slate ink in the center of the panel.  A sentiment will later be stamped over the poinsettia.
