Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern

Have a great week.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern and Daisy Lane Stamp Sets, along with the Forever Flourishing Dies and the Ornate Layers Dies.

My inspiration for the color comes from the Hand Stamped Sentiment Challenge.  This one is a color challenge.

I started with a card base of Basic White card stock adding a layer of Just Jade that becomes the mat for the Basic White cropped panel.  A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Stamp Set is stamped in Just Jade ink on the cropped panel.

Images from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern and Daisy Lane Stamp Set are stamped in Just Jade, Bumblebee, and Calypso Coral inks and then cropped and the daisy is fussy cut as my daisy punch is still in storage.  After coloring, they are arranged on the cropped panel and I took a picture so I would remember the arrangement.  Linen Thread is wound around the card front before the arrangement has adhered over the thread.  Champagne Holiday Rhinestone Jewels are randomly placed around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets an image from the Forever Fern Stamp Set stamped in Just Jade ink.  The inside is left blank except for the image so a note can be written.

A Basic White envelope gets an image from the Forever Fern Stamp Set stamped on the flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man

Wherever you live, I hope your Saturday was one of sunshine and fun, not gray skies and rain, rain, rain.  I feel for the people who have to work outside even if it is raining.  We need to thank them for their work.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man Stamp Set along with the Mountain Air Stamp Set.   One of the sentiments is from the  Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set.  The others are from the A Good Man Stamp Set.

The challenge over at the Creative Creases Challenge is fun fold cards.  They are always fun to create.

The challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters has a theme for their current challenge of Water  –  Water – Water.  Since my card has water in it, I thought I should enter.

This is a screen fold card, so start with a panel of Seaside Spray card stock cut 5-1/2″ x 11″.  Score the panel at 2-3/4″ 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″  Fold the card and burnish really well.  This is the way it should look once folded.  Using a label punch of your choice, punch the card at the bottom to create feet so the card will stand.  Punch the first two at the same time, then use the punched panel as a guide for punch the other two panels.

Cut four Night of Navy card stock mats 2-1/2″ x 4-7/8″.  Stamp your artwork from Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air Stamp Set using Smoky Slate for the mountains. Stamp the mountains using full-strength ink, then will be like stamping off once time.  Move your stamp up a little and stamp again. This will give you a faint shadow behind the mountains.  Continue across the 5-3/8 x 11″ panel until you have mountains across the entire panel.  Next stamp the trees using Garden Green ink.  I masked the bottom of this stamp so it would not show up on the panel.  You can use a piece of Washy Tape for this masking.  Next stamp the waves image from the High Tide Stamp Set in Seaside Spray on the two middle panels.  Using a Blending Brush and Seaside Spray ink color the sky and the bottom portion over the waves.  Also two panels are colored with no waves.  Use Crumb Cake ink to create the sand.

Stamp in Tuxedo Memento Black ink the man in the chair image that comes with the A Good Man Stamp Set.  Let the image dry well, after drying, color using Stampin’ Blends Markers in Highland Heather, Crumb Cake, and Seaside Spray ink.  Fussy cut the man and pop on the front panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

You can see that this card will fit a regular size envelope. As the card when folded is narrow, you may want to add a panel of card stock to the envelope to even the card out.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin Up! Quiet Meadow

Stampin Up! Quiet Meadow

Happy Saturday, in spite of the terrible weather we are supposed to get.  Wonder if we will get it or just the weather man talking.  It will be a good day to stay in and make cards.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set for the greeting and Hand Penned DSP for the focal panel.

My design inspiration is the design sketch from the Try Stampin On Tuesday Challenge.  I am only doing the sketch.

I started with a Mint Macaron card stock base with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.  I added a panel of  Basic White card stock as a mat for the pink & green mixed panel from the Hand Penned DSP.

Another panel of the Hand Penned DSP is cut and matted on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Flowers are fussy cut and popped over the flowers on the flat panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a small piece of Basic White card stock and the cut to a size to fit the side of the card. This little panel is adhered to the edge of the flower panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Pastel Pearl is popped beside the greeting. and two others are placed around the popped flowers.  A bird from my stash of leftovers is popped in the middle of the flowers.

A panel of Basic White card stock has fussy cut flowers from a panel of the Hand Penned DSP adhered in each corner.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air

Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air

Happy Friday, may your weekend be all that you wish it to be.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air Stamp Set along with a little help from the Beauty of Friendship and Elegantly Said Stamp Set.

My inspiration comes from the Card Concept.  The picture of the lake and trees is what I found inspiring.  I used embossing, stamping, coloring, and die cuts to create my card.

I am choosing the first vertical– friendship, any color, sentiment  — for the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.

I started with a Garden Green card stock base with a panel of the same embossed using the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder.  A plain panel of the Garden Green has a panel of Basic White adhered to it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   I just realized the Basic White and Garden Green panels are reversed.

On a panel of Basic White, I stamped the mountains from the Mountain Air Stamp Set in Smoky Slate.  I then stamped the trees in Garden Green ink.  I used the waves stamp from High Tide Stamp Set (retiring) to stamp the waves in Misty Moonlight ink.

Using a Blending Brush and Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray ink I brushed ink over the waves and left a small spot on the right side with no waves.  A little spot of Crumb Cake ink is brushed on the left side.  Using dies from the Majestic Mountain Dies I cropped two trees from Garden Green card stock. A greeting from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on the lower corner of the card front.

A sentiment from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set is stamped in Garden Green ink on a panel of Basic White.  Two Garden Green trees are stamped in the lower corner.

Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts with Brilliant Wings

Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts with Brilliant Wings

Happy summertime day in Georgia, which means hot, hot, hot.  You can probably cook an egg on the sidewalk.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts Stamp Set and the Brilliant Wings Dies along with the Ornate Layers Dies.

My inspiration is from the Allsorts Challenge  — their theme is butterflies & bees.

I started with a card base of Just Jade card stock adding a panel of Basic White card stock which becomes the mat for the Butterfly Bijou DSP. These are all adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A panel of Basic White card stock is cropped using one of the Ornate Layers Dies.  A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts Stamp Set is then stamped in Just Jade ink. The cropped panel is popped on the Butterfly Bijou DSP panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals after a strip of 2021-2023 Incolor Shimmer Vellum is adhered across the butterfly panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Glue Dots.

A panel of Expressions in Ink DSP is cropped using a die from the Brilliant Wings Dies.  The butterfly is popped on the Ornate panel using Mini Glue Dot.

A panel of Basic White card stock is trimmed using a strip of the Butterfly Bijou DSP and then a sentiment from a Stampin’ Up! Elegantly Said Stamp Set is stamped in Just Jade ink.  The panel is then adhered to the card base.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
