Stampin’ Up! Hey Chick
Happy Friday everyone! Hope you are staying warm and dry. A real winter day yesterday and probably today.

Today’s card feature’s a soon to be returning stamp set with dies added this time. We had the Hey Chick Stamp Set in 2017. I liked it then and so happy Stampin’ Up! decided to bring it back. Can you believe I sold my set a week before Stampin’ Up! announced it would be returning, but I have a wonderful friend who gave me hers, all I had to do was buy the dies?
My inspiration design comes from the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge for this week.
Plus the Cute Card Thursday Challenge – with a theme of Birthdays.
Start with a card base of Misty Moonlight card stock. Add a background panel of Dandy Garden DSP that has been matted on a panel of Basic White card stock.

Crop a circle from Basic White card stock using the largest circle die from the Stitched Shaped Dies. Crop a larger circler from Night of Navy card stock using the Layering Circle Dies. Before adhering the two together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, stamp the small field of poppies from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink and color using Light Red Stampin’ Blends Marker, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light So Saffron and the Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Marker. Pop a heart from the Resin Hearts on the circle by the Happy Birthday.

Using the Happy Birthday die from the Birthday Chick Dies crop three Happy Birthdays and adhere together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Adhere to the circle with the poppies. Stamp the chicks from the Hey Chick Stamp Set and crop using the Chick Dies. Color them using Light Real Red, Light Crumb Cake, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Cajun Craze, and Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The sentiment from the Happy Birthday Chick Stamp Set and Hey Chick Stamp Set is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White card stock panel. The panel has a strip of the Dandy Garden DSP down one side and a chick that has been cropped, colored and popped in the corner.

The medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Dandy Garden DSP added to the flap.

My card today features two stamp sets from the Jan. – June Mini Catalog — Dragonfly Garden and Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Sets.
This was an easy card. A card base and two panels of card stock matted on Calypso Coral card stock and popped on the Old Olive base. The Ornate Garden DSP panel is cropped using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies as is the Basic White art panel.
The Basic White panel cropped using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies has the flower image from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set stamped in Garden Green ink and colored using Light So Saffron, Light Old Olive, and Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers.
The swarm of dragonflies is stamped in Early Espresso ink stamped off once. I realize now I should have left it full strength after taking a photo.
The greeting from the Hey Birthday Chick is stamped in Old Olive ink on the corner of the Basic White panel. A single Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel is popped by the greeting.
The sentiment panel has the same flowers as the card front and a sentiment from the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set stamped in Old Olive ink on the Basic White card stock panel.
The medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Ornate Garden DSP added to the envelope flap.

I started with a Blushing Bride card stock base, adding a panel of the Paper Blooms DSP embossed using Rococo Rose card stock.
Another flower is stamped on the Basic White art panel using Rococo Rose and Garden Green ink. The cropped flowers are popped on the art piece under the stamped flower using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
