Floral Essence
Last weekend April 26-28 my brother-in-law and sister-in-law took us on a little trip just so we could get away. We stayed at this great hotel that you could stand on your balcony and see the river below. If you fell off your balcony into the river you would go. When we first arrived, I was trying to get Wi-Fi connected so I could post my card but continued to have problems. I kept calling the front desk for help, about the third time I called a lady answered and she said, ‘ Just hold on sweetie, I will come and help you.” She was so nice, once she got to our room it was like we had been old friends forever, too bad she lives there and I am here, I am sure we could become friends forever. I just want to thank her for all her helpfulness and being so kind and friendly. I know I am a bit late with this thank you, but graduations are all that I have had on the brain and will continue through the month of May.
My card today is from the new stamp set Floral Essence (available to customers on June 4). I can already tell I am going to love creating with this stamp set and the beautiful Designer Series Paper.
A truly simple card to me anyway. It consists of a Granny Apple Green card base with two focal panels from the Perennial Essence DSP that have been cut at an angle to fit the challenge for today.
The design sketch comes from the Sketch Saturday Challenge. 
And… CraftyHazelnut’s Patterned Paper Challenge for May.
The lace trim that is added to the bottom of the Petal Pink focal panel is cut using a Delicate Lace Die. The greeting from the Butterfly Gala stamp set is stamped in Highland Heather ink.
Using the punch that is part of the Floral Essence Bundle I punched three petals from a scrap that was left from the panel of Perennial Essence DSP. Using Glue Dots I glued the three together. The center is stamped in So Saffron ink and then fussy cut and adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional. The flower is then popped onto the focal panel using a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The inside sentiment from the Free As A Bird stamp set (available June 4 for customers) is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. A flower from the Floral Essence stamp set (available June 4 for customers) is also stamped in Highland Heather with a So Saffron ink center. This panel is matted on a Gorgeous Grape panel and adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.
An envelope flap is covered with a panel of the Perennial Essence DSP.

Card Cuts:
Granny Apple Green Card Stock— card base — 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ and folded on the scoreline
Perennial Essence DSP – focal panels on front. Two different panels were used. 5″ x 3-3/4″
Gorgeous Grape Card Stock — mat for focal panel – 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″; mat for inside sentiment panel 4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White Card Stock – inside sentiment panel – 3-3/4″ x 5″
The doily is cut using the Doily Builder Thinlits soon to be retired also. It is adhered using Liquid Glue in various spots. The bird, flowers, and branch are from the Best Birds stamp set and is retiring June 4. It is stamped in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and colored using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. A bow is made using Baker’s Twine and adhered using a Glue Dot. 
Rhinestone Basic Jewels are added to the center of each flower and three Adhesive Backed Sequins are popped in several spots on the card front. There is not an inside sentiment as this will be used to write a thank you note.
