Painted Seasons with Botanical Butterfly

Painted Seasons with Botanical Butterfly

My card is created using the Painted Seasons Bundle.  The Designer Series Paper is so pretty.  This panel that I have used for this card is so cool and clean looking.  It makes me think of a hot afternoon sitting in the cool parlor of an old house long ago.  I remember it had a big ceiling fan that swirled around slowly but the coolness was divine on a hot summer day.  The Happy Day greeting is from the Itty Bitty Greeting stamp set.  I just can’t get away from that Itty Bitty, can I? Be it Itty Bitty Greetings or Itty Bitty Birthday!

My sketch design comes from Try Stamping On Tuesday.

My card base is Lemon Lime Twist with a Pool Party mat for the Painted Seasons DSP.  The two different designs of the DSP make a good contrast.  A Coastal Cabana- Granny Apple Green Reversible Ribbon is wrapped around the focal panel and tied in a bow. Three butterflies cut from a panel of Botanical Butterfly DSP are scattered on the focal panel and adhered with Glue Dots.  The focal panel is adhered to the Pool Party mat then the panels are adhered to the card base.

The inside Whisper White sentiment panel is stamped in Call Me Clover ink using a stamp from the Cake Soriee stamp set.  A flower is also stamped in Call Me Clover on the panel.  The panel is matted on a panel of Pool Party card stock and adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.  It amazes me how the flower look once it has been added to the blog post it looks nothing like that in real time.  I took several pictures and each one turned out with that effect.

Thanks for stopping by today.  May you find encouragement and inspiration just a bit from my card.  Have a blessed day.

Painted Seasons

Painted Seasons

I am using the Painted Seasons Bundle for my card today.  I think I am going to like this set.  Too bad it is only here for such a short while.

My inspiration and design are coming from the Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #308

My card starts with a Poppy  Parade card stock base.   The card front is embossed using the Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF). This is a rather easy card.  I cut the flowers from a panel of the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The strip down the left side is also cut from the reverse side of the flower panel.  A tiny border of Call Me Clover card stock is added between the strip of maze DSP and the flowers. A vertical greeting is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink in the center of the maze strip.  A flower is cut from the DSP and popped on the flower at the bottom of the panel of flowers.  Several Basic Adhesive-Back Sequins are scattered over the Poppy Parade card base.  The inside sentiment panel is stamped in Grapefruit Grove and Call Me Clover ink with a flower from the Painted Seasons stamp set.  A sequin is added to the center of the flower. The sentiment comes from the stamp set Humming Along and is stamped in Call Me Clover.  The panel is trimmed on the right and left sides with a small strip of the maze DSP which is the reverse side of the flowers used on the front.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you like my card and find just a bit of inspiration or encouragement for your own creations.  Have a blessed day!

By the Bay

By the Bay

Today’s card is from a FREEBIE stamp set that you can earn with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration.  It is the By The Bay stamp set.

My inspiration comes from the TGIF Challenge  Sale-A-Bration

My card starts with a Granny Apple Green card base with a Blueberry Bushel focal panel that has been embossed with the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF).  The art piece from the stamp set By The Bay is a 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ square that is stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.  It is then colored using watercolor pencils and an Aqua Painter.  The watercolor pencils used are Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Real Red, and Early Expresso.  After finishing coloring a 2″ x 2″ square is cut from the art piece using the Layering Square Framelits.  The piece with the square cut out is adhered to the focal using Liquid Glue, then the 2″ square is popped back into the place it was cut from.  This is a technique Amy Koenders showed us, so I am CAS(E)ing what she showed us.  Thanks Amy. Linen Thread is wrapped three times around the Blueberry Bushel focal panel and tied in a knot.  The greeting stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink is from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set.  It seems I have used that stamp set a lot lately.  It is then cut using a Layering Oval Framelits Dies.  Since everything that needs to be on the Blueberry Bushel focal panel is finished, it is then popped on the Granny Apple Green card base.

The inside sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set, I used it again, is stamped in Blueberry Bushel on a panel of Whisper White.  The birds are stamped in Blueberry Bushel that has been stamped off once and then stamped on the panel.  The panel is adhered using Liquid Glue.

Thanks for stopping by.  My wish for you is that you find encouragement and inspiration always from the cards I create.

Climbing Roses

Climbing Roses

I used the Climbing Rose stamp set and the Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies for my card creation today.  I also used butterflies from the Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper (DSP) {Free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration}.

I need to say that I was in such a hurry with my last post I forgot to give Sue Prather credit for CAS(E)ing her.  I had told her I was going to CAS(E) her card but forgot to mention it in my post. Click on Sue’s name above and you can go to her blog to see the beautiful card she made.

My inspiration for this card comes from the Global  Design Project challenge for this week.

The card base is Granny Apple Green with a Basic Black mat for the Coastal Cabana panel that has been embossed using the Subtle’s Embossing Folder. The trellis is cut from Whisper White card stock using one of the Thinlits Dies from the Rose Trellis Thinlits Die set.  The roses are stamped on a panel of Whisper White card stock in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.

They are then colored using a Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencil and a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker.  Once the coloring is finished the roses are popped on the right corner of the Coastal Cabana mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Happy Day is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Melon Mambo and popped over the trellis with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The butterflies on the trellis are from the Botanical Butterfly DSP (free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 purchase.)  They are colored using Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Markers.

Three pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewel assortment are popped on the upper right corner of the card front.

The inside sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set is stamped in Melon Mambo on a panel of Whisper White matted on a panel of Basic Black. These panels are adhered to the card base using Liquid Glue.  A butterfly from the Botanical Butterfly DSP is colored with Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Markers and adhered with Liquid Glue to the sentiment panel.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card and that you can find a bit of encouragement and inspiration for your own creations.
