Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods
I hope it isn’t another rainy day, I know the earth needs it, but it is depressing so to help my depression all I can do is make cards! Do you think that is the correct medicine?
My card today is created using Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Stamp Bundle. I am happy Stampin’ Up! kept this set, it helps to make up for not having Lovely As A Tree! My card is like one that Beth McCullough made but I used red, she used pink. You can see her’s here. I wanted to play in the Dragonfly Dreams Challenge. The theme is to use black lots or a little. So I needed a black card and Beth’s just happen to appear in my mailbox, so thank you, Beth, for this lovely card you made so I could CAS(E).
The card has a Stampin’ Up! Basic Black card stock base with a Basic Black panel embossed using Stampin’ Up! White Embossing Powder with some of the trees from the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Stamp Set.
Run a piece of the Stampin’ Up! Sparkle Glimmer paper through the Big Shot using the Stampin’ Up! In the Woods die that looks like a thin curvy piece of metal, this will make the slope for the snow.
Using the 1st and 3rd largest Stampin’ Up! Stitched Rectangles Dies crop a frame from a panel of Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock. Adhere the snow slope to the back of the frame using Stampin’ Up! Mini Glue Dots or Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals if you did not crop three of the frames to gives the frame stability and thickness. You will then adhere the frame to the Basic Black panel using Glue Dots.
To make the evergreen Silver tree, use the evergreen dies from the Stampin’ Up! In The Woods Dies and Stampin’ Up! Silver Glimmer Paper. Cut two trees and adhere together using Mini Glue Dot. Color seven Stampin’ Up! Basic Rhinestone Jewels using a Stampin’ Blends Light Cherry Cobbler Marker then pop on the tree that has been popped on the card front in the left corner of the frame.
The sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Rose Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black in on a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock panel that is matted on a panel of Real Red card stock. The picture of my card not being straight in the pictures gives the allusion that the sentiment is crooked.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.
