Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned

The card I am sharing today is created using a combination of several stamp sets, some new and some retired. From the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set, probably a set that will soon retire, I used a greeting. The new one is Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set.  I used a sentiment from this set.  From the Stampin’ Up! Hold On To Hope stamp set, I used the cross die. From Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope, and Peaceful Nativity I used sentiments.

One of my challenges for the day is The Creative Crafters Challenge — Anything Goes

Another challenge is the Addicted to Stamps and More — Die Cuts and Stencils.

And… the As You See It Challenge — Spring Flowers

I consider the card base as Basic White card stock with a Highland Heather background piece for the back of the card base.   Score the Basic White panel at 5″ as the base is cut 4″ x 10″, I’ve drawn a diagram of the card cuts at the bottom of the post, so you can see how many of each to cut before you start the card.  You can use any Designer Series Paper you choose and for any occasion.  I need Easter cards, so my 20+ are all Easter.  This card is so easy.  I watched a video that Patty Bennett made.  She stated in her video how easy it is.   You will have to scroll down her page to find her video. I was looking for an easy card and I was making so many.  This would be a good card to make for quick birthday cards.

This is how the card looks when you take the belly band off.  The two triangles of Hand Penned DSP are actually squares that have been scored diagonally and the other half of the triangle adhered to the back of the Basic White card base to create what you are seeing.

This is how the card looks when you open the two triangles.  A panel of Hand Penned DPS is adhered to the card base front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The sentiment is stamped on a small piece of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  It is adhered so it will be hidden when the two triangles are closed.  The belly band is created using the pieces I show in the diagram at the end of the post.

This is how the card looks when it is open all the way.  For the top sentiment, I used a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope stamp set, stamping it in Garden Green ink and cropping using a circle die.  I sponged the edges of the circle using a sponge and Highland Heather ink.  The cross is from the Stampin’ Up! Hold On To Hope stamp set, as I put my dies in with my stamp sets and this is retired, I do not know the name of the die set.  I wrapped a short length of Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon on the top of the cross, then adhered to the card base.  The sentiment at the top is from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Nativity stamp set retired. The one at the bottom is from the Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope stamp set.  They are stamped in Garden Green ink.

A Highland Heather card stock panel is adhered to the back of the Basic White card base.  I am sure this is applied to hide the triangles adhered to the back of the card base to form the triangle closure on the card front.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips

Happy Wednesday, I could say guess what’s new, but it’s the same — rain, rain, rain.  I will probably be complaining in the summer of no rain and the yard dying.  Come on in, look around and see if you would like to create a card!

The stamp set I am featuring today is Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips.  I do not believe I have used it since it was a Prize Patrol gift at OnStage in November 2019, so it is time I used it.  I also used Stampin’ Up! Sending You Thoughts Stamp Set for the greeting and the inside sentiment.

The challenge for the day is with Just Us Girls — theme is Heal.

Start with a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock base with a panel of the same embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.  Using a sponge dauber lightly sponge Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink over the leaves giving them a light tint.  Adhere to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The tulips and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Stamp Set is stamped on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Grapefruit Grove, and Pear Pizzazz Classic Inks.  They were then fussy cut, it was easier than using the punch as the punch is for only one tulip.  The tulips were then popped on the card front creating a bouquet tied with a Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon.

The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Sending You Thoughts Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and fussy cut to the shape of the greeting.  It is then popped on using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three Stampin’ Up! Nobel Peacock Rhinestones are popped around the card front.

The sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sending You Thoughts and Timeless Tulip Stamp Sets is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a Whisper White panel that has been cropped using one of the Stampin’ Up! Stitched on Sweetly Dies.  It is then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz card stock panel embossed with the Stampin’ Up! Layering Leaves Embossing Folder.

A Whisper White envelope receives a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap and your project is finished.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!
