Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes

My card today is an easy fun fold.  I’ve used Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes Stamp Set and Dies, Stampin’ Up! Beach Day Stamp Set, Stampin’  Up! Layering Leaves Stamps Set, and Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper.

Challenges for this card.

Addicted To Stamps and More Challenge  — Theme  for this challenge Dies & Stencils

Cut It Up Challenge — Anything Goes

Creatives Creases Challenge

  1. Start with a Shaded Spruce cardstock card base cut 4-1/2″ x 11″
  2. Score at 5-1/2″
  3. Fold and burnish well.
  4. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 4-1/8″ x 9-3/4″
  5. Score 2-1/4″ and 4-1/2″.
  6. Fold the 2-1/4″ score line as a mountain fold.
  7. Fold the 4-1/2″ score line as a valley fold.
  8. Adhere the Basic White piece to the card base using adhesive of choice. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This piece creates the easel.
  9. Cut a piece of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper 4″ x 5-1/8″ and 2″ x 3-7/8″.
  10. Adhere the two pieces of designer series paper to the Basic White piece.
  11.   This is the way the easel looks from the side.
  12. Die cut the stems of the flowers from Lost Lagoon cardstock, cut three.  See the first photo to see the two dies to use to cut the flowers.  They are really the same die, but one has the flowers.
  13. Die cut from Petunia Pop cardstock the flowers using the die that has the flowers on it.  Cut three.
  14. Adhere the Lost Lagoon flower stems over the flower stem leaving only the Petunia Pop flower showing.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue because they are so thin.  It would have been good to use an adhesive strip adhered to the Lost Lagoon cardstock. It would have made it easier to adhere the Lost Lagoon stem over the flower stem.
  15. Adhere the flowers on the background piece of tthe Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (see photo).
  16. Die cut the big flourish that looks like half a wreath (see first photo) from Lost Lagoon cardstock.
  17. Stamp a greeting on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Shaded Spruce ink.
  18. Trim the greeting piece to 1-1/2″ x 2-1/4″.
  19. Cut a mat from Petunia Pop cardstock 1-5/8″ x 2-3/8″ for the greeting piece.
  20. Adhere the greeting piece to the Petunia Pop cardstock piece.
  21. Adhere 3 Stampin’ Dimensionals down the middle of the greeting.
  22. Pop the greeting in the middle of the easel part.
  23. Tuck the flourish around the greeting.  You may have to cut it into two pieces.
  24. Pop three Birds and Dragonflies around the card front and one on the inside.
  25.   A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day Stamp Set is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock, then adhered to the card base.  A strip of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper is adhered at the bottom of the panel.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Glue or adhesive of choice.

I am happy you stop  by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. These are the challenges I am entering for this card.

Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenge

Creative Creases Challenge

Seize The Birthday Challenge with the option of adding a cute critter.  I am doing the “Anything Goes” as I do not have a critter on my card.

  1. Color a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes Stamp Set using Stampin’ Write Markers, I used Pretty Peacock and Wild Wheat.  Give the image a huff of breath after coloring to moisten it so it will stamp well.
  2. Stamp the colored image on one of the 2-3/4″ x 4″ pieces of Basic White cardstock, leaving space at the top for a greeting.
  3. Stamp a greeting in Pretty Peacock ink using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Layering Leaves Stamp Set.
  4. Use the splash of dots stamp from Stampin’ Up! Layering Leaves Stamp Set to stamp dots in Wild Wheat ink around the flower.
  5. Adhere to the left side of your card base front leaving a border around the edges.
  6. On the other piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp in Pretty Peacock ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Layering Leaves Stamp Set.
  7. Stamp in Pretty Peacock ink in the lower right corner, a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Layering Leaves Stamp Set.
  8. Adhere the Basic White piece to the inside of the little card using adhesive of choice.
  9. Adhere the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series piece to the little card front.
  10. Adhere the little card to the right side of the card front making sure edges are even.  The left edge may extend over the Basic White piece just a bit but this is fine.
  11. Adhere dots from Glossy Dot Assortment.
  12. Stamp in Pretty Peacock ink, a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set on the Basic White piece for the inside of the card.
  13. Using left-over scraps from Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper adhere to the left side of the inside Basic White panel.
  14. Adhere three of the dots from the Glossy Dot Assortment on the left side in the little white space at the top of the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Glue or adhesive of choice.  My card is a CAS of a card Sharon Armstrong created, but I had to make it mine so I added to it.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used In Creating This Card

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes!

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes!

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes, Wildflower Designs, and Country Birdhouse Stamp Set along with Distress Tile 3D Embossing Folder, and dies from Sketched Butterflies Dies.

These are the card cuts needed to create this card.

  • Basic Black cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
    • mat for art piece — 2-3/4′ x 2-3/4″
  • Basic White cardstock
    • mat on card front — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • art pieces — Cut 3 — 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″
    • inside panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper
    • background piece — 3-3/4′ x 5″
    • inside strip — 1-1/4″ x 4″
    • envelope flap — 2-1/4″ x 6″

I am enter these challenges:

Can You Handle The Pressure (CYHTP) Challenge

Never Before Used Schtuff  (NBUS) Challenge.  The designer series paper is the Never Before Used Schtuff.

The cardbase is Basic Black cardstock.  Cut a piece of the same for the background diamond.   Adhere the Wildly Flowering Designer Series piece to a piece of the Basic White cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Emboss the two piece  using Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, now that they have been adhered together.  Wrap White Twine from Basic Twine Essential Pack around the embossed piece three times, adhered in the back using tape.  Adhere the piece to the card base using adhesive of choice.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Die cut three butterflies from 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer Paper using dies from Sketched Butterflies Dies.  Using stamps from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes and Wildflower Designs Stamp Sets stamp the flower images on the Basic White squares.  I used Stampin’ Write marker to color each stamp, then stamped on the squares.  The Stampin’ Write Markers I used are Berry Burst,Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia, and Granny Apple Green.  I then used Stampin’ Blends in the same color to color the inside of the flowers.

Adhere the three flower squares to the Basic Black square, making sure the square is turned to create a diamond.  You can see the photo.  Adhere the three butterflies using a Glue Dot.  Pop Gems from Tinsel Gems Four Pack around the card front and on each butterfly.  The 7th Gem is inside.  On a piece of Basic Black cardstock, stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse Stamp Set in Versa Mark, sprinkle White Embossing Powder over the Versa Mark and heat emboss using a heat tool.  Use an Embossing Buddy to swipe the Basic Black piece so the embossing powder will only stick to the piece where the Versa Mark is stamped.  Cut the greeting into three pieces and pop on the card front, see the photo.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock stamp in Memento Black ink a sentiment using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse Stamp Set.

Adhere a piece of Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper to a Basic White envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used In Creating This Card

Stampin’ Up! Layers of Beauty

Stampin’ Up! Layers of Beauty

The card I am sharing today is a CAS of one Mary Deatherage created a week or so ago.  Click her name and it will  you to her video.  She gives great instructions on making the card probably much better than written ones.

I am entering my card in Creative Creases Challenge.

  • Start with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock as the base.  Score at 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″.
  • Cut a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″as a mat, adhere to the Pretty In Pink card base.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 4″ x 10-1/2, score at 5-1/4″ to create the inside card.
  • Adhere the smaller card over the Country Woods panel. The Country Woods piece is a mat for this card.
  • Cut another piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper same size as the first 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • Decorate the card front before adhering this piece to the Basic White cardstock.
  • Stamp in Smoky Slate ink the large flower image from Stampin’ Up! Layers Of Beauty Stamp Set
  • Color using Stampin’ Blends Markers, Pretty In Pink, Bubble Bath , Lemon Lolly, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Smoky Slate.  I tried using the mask first but did not like the way it looked once finished, so I stamped another image and colored using Stampin’  Blends.
  • Once colored pop on the Country Woods piece on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, Place the Dimensionals in the center of the flower image so there will be space for greenery around the outside edges of the image.
  • Using dies from Stampin’ Up! Layers Of Beauty Dies, die cut from Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and Garden Green cardstock leaves for the flower image.
  • Tuck the leaves around the flower image, you can see placement in the picture above.
  • Pop Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins, I used the silver, and 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems, I used Pretty In Pink, around the card front.
  • Adhere the finished panel to the Basic White cardstock front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or the adhesive of your choice.  I tried  putting a bow on the card front, but to me it just did not fit.  If you are making the card, it is your choice as to the bow, a bow may look beautiful on your card, but I felt it just did not fit.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 2-1/2″ x 4″ .
  • Emboss using Dashing Design 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Adhere the embossed piece to a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper cut 2-5/8″ x 4-1/8″, then adhere to the bottom portion of the easel.
  • Cut a piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper 1″ x 2-1/4″ for a mat for the greeting.
  • Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink on a 7/8″ x 2-1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock
  • Pop on the embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp a small flower image from Stampin’ Up! Layers Of Beauty Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink. Stamp three.
  • Color using Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lolly and Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blends.
  • Fussy Cut and pop one on the corner of the greeting using Multipurpose Liquid Glue of adhesive of choice.
  • Pop a 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gem on the opposite corner of the greeting.

Adhere the two remaining small flowers to the lower left corner of the inside panel of the Basic White card.  The card is left blank to write a message instead of stamping one.

If you love card making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Journey — Thinking Of You

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Journey — Thinking Of You

The card I am sharing today is created using Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse stamp set, and Spotlight On Nature Dies.  Don’t be shy about using more than one stamp set when creating a card.  You may see one part in one stamp set you like and another part in another stamp set.  I am probably well know for using greetings and sentiments from other stamp sets other than the one that features the focal part of the card front.  This is a card I saw of Susan Campfield’s.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Addicted To Stamps  — any occasion is the theme for this challenge

Krafty Chicks Challenge  — anything goes

Creative Creases Challenge  — Always Fun Folds

Start with a card base of Misty Moonlight.  Cut a panel of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper, adhering to the card front.  Using a die from Spotlight on Nature Dies cut a circle in the card front.  You may need to run the it through the Emboss, Cut Machine twice as you are cutting through both cardstock and designer series paper.  After cutting the circle, adhere the Misty Moonlight die cut piece to the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   Lay it aside for the moment.

Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 5-1/4″ x 8-1/2″. Score the piece at 4″ and 6-1/4″.  This is for the inside piece.  Stamp in Misty Moonlight ink a sentiment on the left panel of the piece using a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Country Birdhouse stamp set.  Stamp the stem of flowers in Misty Moonlight ink in the lower right corner of the panel using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes stamp set.  On the middle panel adhere the piece of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper left when you cut the panel for the card front.  Fold, burnishing well and adhere the panel to the card base using adhesive of your choice, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

With the card closed, adhere the circle you put aside earlier to the opening in the card front.  Stamp a greeting in Misty Moonlight ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Coffee With Friends stamp set.  Die cut the greeting using a die from Spotlight On Nature Dies.  Pop the greeting on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the lower portion of the circle.  Pop gems from Glossy Dots Assortment around the card front.

Be sure to only adhere the right side of the circle in the opening, you do not want to glue your card close and unable to open.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
