SU DEMO FUN FOLD BLOG HOP MARCH 2024

Welcome to the monthly SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop Group  with Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!!

We have a great lineup of talented crafters for you today, who enjoy creating fun folds.  If you love fun folds, I am hoping you find inspiration and enjoyment so much that you will be inspired to join us next time.  You are in for a treat with all the talented demonstrators participating. You can find that list  located at the end of the post about my card creation.

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Meadow Dies and Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.  I suppose you can call this Fun Fold a double flap Fun Fold.  Maybe there is another name so if you know what it is called, please let me know.  Card cuts are at the end of the post.

  • Start with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ Basic White cardstock card base.
  • Score at 5-1/2″
  • Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″  piece of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.
  • Cut two pieces of Basic White cardstock 3-1/2″ x 4″
  • Score both pieces 1/2″ on the 4″ side
  • Fold and burnish the two pieces well.
  • Using adhesive of choice put the adhesive on the 1/2″ score edge.
  • Adhere the two pieces as the photo above shows, the 1/2″ scored edge goes on the back side of the Designer Series Paper so it will be hidden when the piece is adhered to the card base.
  • Adhere the piece of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper to the card base.
  • Using dies from Stampin’ Up! Meadow Dies die cut flowers from Basic White cardstock as shown in the above photo.
  • Adhere the flowers to the two flaps using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! By My Side on a scrap of Basic White cardstock.
  • Make a loopy bow, adhering to the flap with a glue dot.
  • Adhere the greeting over the bottom of the flowers using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp another greeting, this one from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set in Memento Back ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock.
  • Die cut the greeting using a die from Perennial Postage Dies. You will have to do some adjusting to get it down to the size shown here.
  • Pop over the bottom of the flowers using  Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Open the second flap to reveal a sentiment adhered to the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Timeless Arrangements stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.
  • Using a die from Perennial Postage dies die cut the sentiment.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or adhesive of choice.
  • On a piece of Basic White cardstock stamp sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set and Stampin’ Up! Lazy Days stamp set (this one soon to retire).
  • Adhere a strip of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the panel.
  • Adhere the panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or adhesive of choice.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of  Countryside Inn Designer Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #706

Krafty Chicks Challenge #706

Krafty Chicks Challenge #706 Stamps — Leanne

I have the honor of being the Guest Chick for Krafty Chicks Challenge for the month of March.

Since this is the first week of the month it means the challenge for this week is STAMP. There must be something on your project that is stamped,  The main Chicks, say it can be a stamped image, sentiment or digi. It will qualify for the challenge.

The card I am sharing today is a new Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive item, Magnolia Mood stamp set and Dies.  I also used Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions Dies, and Timeworn Type 3 D Embossing Folder.

This card is an easy Fun Fold  card.  All the card cuts are at the end of this post.  Two pieces of Bubble Bath cardstock are cut and embossed using Stampin’ Up! Timeworn Type 3 D Embossing Folder. The two embossed panel are matted on Basic Black mats and adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Two labels are die cut using dies from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions Dies, one in Basic White, the other in Basic Black.  The large magnolia image from Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Mood stamp set is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  The image is colored using Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green, and Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blends.  The magnolia  image is die cut using the matching die from Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Mood Dies.  The image is then popped over the two label on the card front.  Gems from Tinsel Gems Four Pack are popped around the card front.

Two labels are die cut from Bubble Bath cardstock using a die from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions Dies.  A sentiment  from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink for the inside left panel. A magnolia is stamped in Versa Mark ink under the sentiment.  A Basic Black label is die cut from the same dies to create a mat for the sentiment on this panel.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Wild Ferns stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on the other label it is adhered to the right side panel after small magnolias are stamped in Versa Mark on the panel.

A Basic White envelope gets a Magnolia  from Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Mood stamp set  stamped on the envelope flap and the envelope left corner on the front using Bubble Bath ink.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome! It that time, the 2nd Tuesday of the month  you have been waiting for with excitement, a fun team blog hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.   The theme for this month is “Birthday”. You are in for a treat seeing all the talent these ladies present to you. Sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy.  You will see cards that will  inspire you to get creative as you jump from blog to blog.

The card I am sharing today for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop is created using Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set and Dies, along with Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.  There is a diagram and card cuts at the end of the post showing how to cut and score.  My card is a CAS of Connie Stewart’s card.

  1. Score and fold on the score lines in an accordion style.  Using a pencil make a mark 1-1/4″ down from the top of the card on the left side.  Cut from the pencil mark up to the 3″ score line.  You can see the diagram at the bottom. There is a red line showing where to cut.
  2. Adhere the  Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper to the Boho Blue cardstock mats.  I found it easier to start with the largest triangle to adhere to the card base.  Placing adhesive only on the left edge of the triangle and at the bottom.  You want to leave the top open for the little card or gift card.
  3. On the 2nd largest triangle place adhesive on the longest side of the triangle and adhere, you can see in the photo how it is adhered.  I placed the triangle on the middle section before adding adhesive and made a tiny pencil mark so I would know how far to place the adhesive on the back of the triangle.
  4. Repeat this step for the small triangle that is in front.
  5. On a piece of Basic White cardstock stamp in Boho Blue ink the large daisy from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set.  Stamp the center of the daisy using Copper Clay ink. Using the matching die from the Cheerful Daisies dies, die cut the daisy.
  6. 2023-2025 In Color Dots are popped around the card front and onto the little Basic White card.
  7. In Boho Blue ink, stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set on the top of the little Basic White card.
  8. Choose a daisy image from the stamp set and stamp the daisy in Boho Blue ink, stamp the daisy center in Copper Clay ink, and last stamp the stem and leaves for the daisy in Wild Wheat ink.
  9. On the inside of the little Basic White card, stamp in Boho Blue ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.
  10. In the lower right corner of the card stamp in Boho Blue ink a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.
  11. A Basic White envelope gets a piece of the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, now that you’ve seen my card, I hope you’ll take a little time to jump thru all the other projects we have to share. Questions? You can Contact Me.  I’d love to be your Demonstrator if you need any stamping supplies.  Just click on the Shop Now button on the top right side of the screen to go directly to my online store.  You can Shop in my online store HERE

  • Ready to Join our team?  Click HERE  for more information. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that you get to pre-order before a new catalog  launches so you are able to show your customers what they can look forward to having when the new catalog comes out.  You will also be getting at least a 20% discount on purchases. If you love card making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.
