Stampin Up! Rustic Retreat with Magnolia Lane
I hope everyone is having a nice restful Sunday, enjoying the cool Autumn air and that maybe you had time yesterday or will today visit some of the Fall Festivals that happen this time each year. I went to the park for my usual walk yesterday and was stopped at the gate, the lady said you are welcome to come in and walk but you will have to go find a parking space some other place, so that was it for a walk in the park along the river.
My card today is the other card of the challenge from yesterday. There are always two cards for this challenge. The challenge is with Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
The Stampin’ Up! Petal Pink card base is square with a background panel from Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.

The two panels with the Magnolia Lane DSP showing the magnolias are matted on panels of Petal Pink card stock. The greeting from Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Petal Pink that I cut into an oval. It may not be a perfect oval but I did not have a skinny oval so I created one. It is matted on a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock as is the other magnolia panel.

Two of the magnolias on the panel on the left are part of the DSP, the middle magnolia has been fussy cut and popped between the two magnolias using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals and a small bow is adhered using a Glue Dot. The magnolia at the bottom of the greeting oval has been fussy cut, popped on and a bow adhered with a Stampin’ Up! Glue Dot. I trimmed around the edge of the magnolia at the top of the greeting oval so it would hang over the oval just a bit.

The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set and is stamped in Mossy Meadow on a Whisper White label from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Label Dies that has been matted on a panel of the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. A magnolia fussy cut from a panel of the DSP is adhered in the right corner and on the label.

In finishing, I gave a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White envelope a panel of the Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane DSP and magnolias on the front.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Happy Labor Day weekend all! Not to happy for the people in Florida prayers and thoughts are with them and all the people caught up in the horrible weather. Maybe it will just turn and blow its self out to sea.

The art panel is a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and one of the flower images from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. A circle is then cropped from the panel using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Shapes Dies. I realize now that it would have been much easier to color if I had colored and then cut.
I colored the flowers using Stampin’ Up! Classic Stampin’ Pads in Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rocco Rose, Smoky Slate and a Stampin’ Up! Blender Pen. It is amazing the color you can create using a Blender Pen. The hearts are cropped using Stampin’ Up! Stitched Label Dies. They are cropped in Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Rococo Rose, Blushing Bride, and Smokey Slate. A small spot was embossed on the card front under the hearts using one of the dies from the Stitched Label Dies.
The greeting stamped on the circle is from the Stampin’ Up! Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. Three pearls from the Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are placed on the circle also. The bow is made using Stampin’ Up! Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Glue Dots.
The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink. The flowers are from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Stamp Set and are colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils in Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Flirty Flamingo to get the color of pink I wanted. Once again, I used a Blender Pen to smooth the colors.

My card today is created using Stampin’ Up! Mosiac Mood DSP, Stampin’ Up! Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set, Stampin’ Up! New Wonders Stamp Set and Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set.

I am giving you a Sneak Peek as I use the new Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set (available to customers on June 4) to create my card for today. It was a very easy card and took little time to create. So if you need a quick card give this one a try when you purchase the bundle on June 4.

My card starts with a Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock base. There are three mats, one being used as the background mat. I used Stampin’ Up! Whisper White and Night of Navy card stock for the first two mats. From the center of these two mats, the panel for the art piece and the mat for the art piece is cut. By cutting these two panels from the center of two mats that the center will never be seen, you are conserving card stock, plus the weight of the card as this will eliminate two additional pieces of card stock being added to the card. The first two mats and the background panel cut from the new Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper (DSP) (available June 4 to customers) are adhered using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
The art panel is watercolored using the Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue watercolor pencil and a Stampin’ Up! Aqua Painter. After the watercolor dries, the sailboat image from the new Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The sailboat is colored using the Stampin’ Up! Real Red watercolor pencil and the Aqua Painter.
The rope across the top of the art piece is from the new Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More Card Pack. The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set (carrying over to the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog) is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Real Red ink.
The inside sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. The sentiments are from the Stampin’ Up! Strong and Beautiful and Stampin’ Up! Well Said stamp sets.
The envelope flap gets a panel of the Come Sail Away DSP adhered to it using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
