Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Happy Birthday

Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Happy Birthday

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Summer Shadow Dies and the Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts stamp set along with the Bough Punch, Stampin’ Up! Brilliant Wings Dies, and Tea Boutique DSP.  I remember some DSP that we had at one time can’t remember which year and since I thought it would look very well with this card design, I created a panel of it.  You can see below how I did it.

My challenge today is with the Seize the Birthday Anything Goes –  today it has an option Butterflies or Hummingbirds.

Since my card is a fun fold I am also entering the Creative Creases Challenge.

To create the panel of stripe SSP (Shirley’s Special Paper) I used Washi Tape to create the stripes.  I used a Blending Brush and the Sweet Sorbet ink from the stamp pad to color the stripes.  When I pulled the Washi Tape off the panel, it left uneven places in the stripes just like the original DSP.  My card is a CAS of one I made years ago from a stamp set that had a similar flower and if  I remember correctly the DSP was a black background.  I think it was before blogging days.

My card is a fun fold. I like fun fold cards. I started with a card base of Sweet Sorbet card stock.  This is one of the new 2022-2024 In Colors.  The card base is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  It is scored at 4-1/4″ and the left side is scored at 2-1/8″ also.

This is how my card looks opened out flat. The Tea Boutique DSP is adhered to the 1st panel after being matted on a Basic White card stock mat.  I probably should have added a panel of DSP to the 2nd panel, but I didn’t.  The inside panel has a panel of Basic White card stock adhered to the card base then my stripe piece is adhered over it.  The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Inspired Thoughts stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on the Basic White side of the panel.

Leaves are punched using the Bough punch, the butterfly is cropped from 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper.  I cropped it from one of the lightest blues and then used a Blending Brush and Parakeet Party ink to color over it as the Parakeet Party was too bright. Part of the flower was cropped from Basic White card stock and colored using a Blending Brush and Sweet Sorbet ink.  The frame of the flower was cropped from a piece of Sweet Sorbet card stock.  All of these elements are arranged over two labels cropped from Basic White and Sweet Sorbet card stock.

The greeting label is cropped from Basic White card stock using the next to smallest die from Stitched Rectangle Dies.  It is adhered over the Sweet Sorbet and Basic White labels and the flowers, leaves, and a butterfly are arranged around the labels.  I do not think the glimmer of the butterfly shows up in the photo.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Tea Boutique DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes

Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes

Good Morning, everyone, I hope your week will be everything you want it to be.

Today’s card features an old favorite from the Annual Catalog.  Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set is my choice for an anniversary card for my grandson and his wife.  I am also using the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder, the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

My inspiration for today’s challenge is the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge — Kath’s Challenge All Things Feminine.

Start with a Bermuda Bay card stock card base with a panel of the same embossed using the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder.  Adhere to the card base.

Crop a panel from the Flower & Field DSP using the next to largest dies from the Stitched Rectangle Dies and crop one from Oh So Ombre DSP using the largest die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Stamp the image of the man and woman from the Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on the Oh So Ombre Panel. Adhere the two panels at an angle over the embossed panel.

Crop three Real Red card stock “love” words using the Well Written Dies.  Adhere the three together and adhere to the card front. The hearts framing the image are from the stash of hearts saved when cropping a die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies.

The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a panel of Oh So Ombre DSP.  Three red hearts are adhered around the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the  Flower & Field 6″ x 6″ DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden

Good Morning! Can you believe this is the last day of February and the last day of Sale-A-Bration.  You need to get your last-minute order in before the time is gone.  Have a great Sunday.   Are you predicting March in come in like a lamb or a lion?  Could be either according to your location.

My inspiration for the design is from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

Today my card is created using the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set and the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.  The Butterfly Bijou DSP is also used.

Start with a Just Jade card stock card base. Crop a panel of Basic White card stock using the largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Stamp in greeting in Tuxedo Memento Black ink then adhere this panel to the card base. Cut the banner across the card from a panel of Butterfly Bijou DSP and for the mat cut a piece from the True Love DSP.

Stamp the flower image from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set on the Basic White card stock square that has been cropped using a die from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  Color the image using Rococo Rose and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Mat on a square of Just Jade card stock. Pop one Elegant Faceted Gem on the card front.

Butterflies are fussy cut from a panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP and adhered at the top and bottom of the Basic White sentiment panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! True Love

Stampin’ Up! True Love

Happy Cold Tuesday. Have a great day and be blessed you are inside in the warmth.  My nephew and his SIL are linemen, so you know what that means in this weather.  The SIL is a helicopter lineman, meaning he stands on the runner of the helicopter and works on the lines. They have to go everywhere there is a need.

My card today is created using the True Love DSP, Stitched Be Mine Dies, Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, and a greeting from Beautiful Moments Stamp Set. Oh, and the negative space left from cropping a panel with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  When I looked at that it, I thought that will make a great frame and it does.

Inspiration today comes from the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge  — this week it is a color challenge.

Start with a card base of Bermuda Bay card stock and emboss a panel of the same using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  This will be adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Glue. Adhere the Basic White card stock frame over the embossed panel.

Fussy Cut the flowers from a panel of the True Love DSP. Color using Real Red and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Use a Blender Pen and Blushing Bride ink to color the rosebuds.   Pop the flowers in the left corner of the embossed panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewel around the card front.

Crop three hearts from Real Red card stock using a die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies.  Stack the hearts together to give some dimension.  Stamp a greeting from the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set on the heart using Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  Pop in the upper right corner over the frame a bit.

Fussy cut and color more flowers for the Basic White card stock sentiment panel. Adhere to the card base after coloring.

Color more flowers and adhere the colored panel to the flap of a medium Basic White envelope.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams with Hey Birthday Chick

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams with Hey Birthday Chick

Happy Wednesday!  Do you know why it is called “Hump Day”?

My card today features two stamp sets from the Jan. – June Mini Catalog  — Dragonfly Garden and Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Sets.

My design inspiration comes from the Fab Friday Challenge.

This was an easy card.  A card base and two panels of card stock matted on Calypso Coral card stock and popped on the Old Olive base. The Ornate Garden DSP panel is cropped using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies as is the Basic White art panel.

The Basic White panel cropped using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies has the flower image from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set stamped in Garden Green ink and colored using Light So Saffron, Light Old Olive, and Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The swarm of dragonflies is stamped in Early Espresso ink stamped off once.  I realize now I should have left it full strength after taking a photo.

The greeting from the Hey Birthday Chick is stamped in Old Olive ink on the corner of the Basic White panel.  A single Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel is popped by the greeting.

The sentiment panel has the same flowers as the card front and a sentiment from the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set stamped in Old Olive ink on the Basic White card stock panel.

The medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Ornate Garden DSP added to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!
