Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature

Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature

Here I am using the same stamp set and Paper Pumpkin pieces that I used for another card this week, only this time it is a fun fold.  As I have said before I believe this is my favorite stamp set other than Lovely As A Tree.  It would be nice if Lovely As A Tree made a comeback.  I know there are many others who love the stamp set Lovely As A Tree.  This time it could have dies with it.  In the meantime, I will continue using Spotlight On Nature.

Card Cuts:

  • Fresh Freesia cardstock
    • card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
    • small card — 3″ x 8″ scored @ 4″
    • embossed background paleftnel — 3-3/4″ 5″
  • Gold  Foil
    • mat for embossed panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • mat for front flap and sentiment panel — 2-7/8″ x 3-7/8″
    • mat for left front panel —  2-7/8″ x 3-7/8″
  • Basic White cardstock
    • sentiment panel — 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″
    • flowers — 4″ x 5″
  • Iced Occasions Paper Pumpkin
    • front flap — 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″
    • left front panel  —  2-1/2″ x  3-3/4″
  • Old Olive cardstock
    • leaves — 4″ x 5″
  • Vellum  4″ x 5″ for circle

.

Emboss the background piece using the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.  Adhere all the pieces to their mat Goil Foil mats, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  After adhering to the mats, adhere the pieces to the card base.  Using Glue Dots where they will not show, glue the circle die cut from Vellum using a die from Spotlight On Nature Dies to the front flap.  On Basic White cardstock stamp the flowers from Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set.  Color the flowers using Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lolly and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.  Fussy cut the flowers.  On Old Olive cardstock stamp in Mossy Meadow ink a leaf image from Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set.  Die cut the leaves using the matching die from Spotlight On Nature Dies.  Arrange the flowers and leaves over the Vellum  adhering using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Make a loopy bow, adhering the bow over the flowers with a Glue Dot.  Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Frames Stamp Set on a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Memento Black ink.  Pop the sentiment in the lower left corner.  Pop three butterflies from Brass Butterflies among the flowers.

Stamp a sentiment on the sentiment panel in Memento Black ink using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day Stamp Set.  Stamp before you adhere the panel to the mat for easier stamping.

The same flowers as the card front are stamped and colored on the Basic White envelope flap.

Paper Pumpkin Price Increase

Beginning April 11, Paper Pumpkin is increasing its subscription prices to accommodate rising manufacturing costs. All new subscriptions purchased on or after April 11 will be at the new price.
The price increase will go toward product value—which means that demonstrators will earn more on order commissions. In addition, starting Tuesday, April 15, Paper Pumpkin subscriptions will qualify for rewards through the new Stampin’ Rewards program.

The first kit at the new price, the May Mountain Majesties Kit, will bill on May 11 at 12:01 a.m. (MT).

STAMPIN’ REWARDS CHANGED AS OF  APRIL 15, 2025

Stampin’ Up! updated their Rewards Program beginning mid-April!

The current Stampin’ Rewards program that Stampin’ Up!  had for many years went away on April 15, 2025.
Bottom line? You will now be able to earn Stampin’ Rewards on smaller orders!
Here’s the details:

  • You will not have to place a large order of $150+ to earn free product, as it was with the previous Stampin’ Rewards system.
  • On April 15,  2025, and moving forward, you will earn 10% rewards with orders of $20+!! So…for example, when you place an order of $50 you’ll earn a $5 reward to use the next time you shop!
  • You can save your rewards for up to a year! So, you can spend them on a future order all at once or a little at a time.  Boom!
  • Additionally, the “host code” is going away….so, as of April 15, 2025, you will not need to apply my current host code to your order.

What should you know now to prepare for these changes?
Here are a few things that you can do to make the transition to the new program as smooth as possible:

  • You DO need to have a Stampin’ Up! online store account at stampinup.com so you can earn and redeem rewards.
    • I will NOT be able to create and manage customer accounts. I can still help you with ordering if you need me to, but, because of stricter banking policies and data/privacy laws, you’ll need to officially be in charge of your own customer account for earning & redeeming rewards.  So make sure you’re able to log in at stampinup.com.
  • NOTE! You must “opt in” to the program to earn and redeem Stampin’ Rewards.  When you place your first order after  April 15 – you’ll have the chance to “Opt In”.  That’s a good time to do it so you’ll earn Rewards on THAT order!  But – if you decide NOT to at that point – you can always do it on a future order!
  • Don’t want a Stampin’ Up! online store account?? You can still have me place your order for you!  You won’t get the Stampin’ Rewards directly – they’ll come to me and I’ll apply them to a future order for you.
  • If you DO NOT want to “Opt in” to the rewards program, you don’t have to – you can still place orders, but be aware that you won’t receive the Stampin’ Rewards for your purchases.

Again these changes will began  April 15, 2025.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Blue Balloons For Grandpa

This heartwarming story explores loss, love, and the healing power of remembrance. Through the voice of young Octavia, Blue Balloons for Grandpa offers comfort and inspiration to young readers, showing that love never truly fades — it simply changes shape and floats on in our hearts. As each balloon drifts into the sky, Octavia finds comfort, sending her love, wishes, and special memories up high.

Perfect for those looking for creative ways to celebrate cherished memories.

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Frames With Inked Occasions

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Frames With Inked Occasions

Another card created as a Paper Pumpkin alternative.  It is a flap fun fold.  It is very easy to create.

Card Cuts:

  • Basic White cardstock
  • card base — 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
  • Gold Foil
  • mats — (2) 1-1/8″ x 4-1/8″;  (2) 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″
  • card from Inked Occasion Paper Pumpkin
  • focal panels — (2) 1″ x 4″; (2) 2-3/4″ x 4″
  • flowers
  • Basic White cardstock
  • inside flowers — 4″ x 5″

At the score line move the card base over to the 1-1/4″ line, cut from the score line to the card edge.  Do this on both sides.  Adhere these two pieces to the inside of the card base.  Adhere the Gold Foil to the 1-1/4″ sides, to the flap, and to the card inside, you can see the next photo in the post to see where the inside Gold Foil is placed.  Flowers from the Inked Occasion kit are popped over the flap using tiny bits of Stampin’ Dimensionals. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sentimential Frames stamp set is stamped in Memento Black in on a Crush Curry scrap, brushed with the ink using a Blending Brush, die cut using a die from Stylish Shapes Dies, then popped on the card flap using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Flowers from Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set are stamped in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  The flowers are colored using Highland Heather and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends.  They are fussy cut and adhered to the inside of the flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beach Days Stamp Set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a panel of a card from Inked Occasions Paper Pumpkin.  The panel is adhered over the Gold Foil mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I used one of the envelopes in the Paper Pumpkin kit instead of adding Designer Series Paper to an envelope flap.

I am happy you stopped by today.  I hope you take the time to linger and look at my other blog posts and cards, and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature —

Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature —

The card I am sharing today is created using one of my favorite stamp sets from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog, Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set.  I am so happy it will be around a while longer.

Card Cuts:

  • Fresh Freesia cardstock
    • card base — 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
  • Inked Occassions April 2025 Paper Pumpkin
    • background mat  — 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Vellum
    • circle behind flowers — 4″ square
  • Basic White cardstock
    • inside panel  — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • flowers  — 4″ x 5-1/4″
    • greeting — scrap
  • Old Olive cardstock
    • leaves — 4″ x 5-1/4″

Using a card base from Inked Occasions April 2025 Paper Pumpkin  cut in two pieces, I used the half with gold trim. This trim gives the illusion of more layers.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Flowers from Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set are stamped in Memento Black ink, colored using Fresh Fressia, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  The flowers are fussy cut.

A circle is die cut from Vellum using a die from Spotlight On Nature Dies.  The circle is adhered to the card front using Glue Dots.  The flowers and leaves are arranged over the Vellum circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A loopy Linen Thread bow is made and adhered behind the greeting using Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to the card base.

I am entering the following card challenges:

Addicted To Stamps

Beautiful Blossoms

DarandDiane

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Autumn Expressions Stamp Set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock.  A flower is stamped in the lower right corner and colored using the same color Stampin’ Blends as used on the card front.

Basic White envelope gets flowers from Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set, stamped on a Basic  White envelope flap.  The flowers are colored using Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used In Creating This Card

Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature — Hello

Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature — Hello

The card I am sharing today is created using one of my favorite stamp sets,  Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set.  I also, use Stampin’ Up! Layering Leaves and Sketched Butterflies Stamp Sets.

You can see how I colored this card, by clicking this link,  It will take you to a previous post that shows the prep for coloring  since it is colored on Crumb Cake cardstock.

These are the card cuts:

  • Basic White cardstock
    • card base — 5-1/2′ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
    • mat for art piece — 2-3/4″ x 4″
    • greeting strip — 3/4″ x 4″
    • inside panel — 4″ 5-1/4″
    • inside panel left side — 2-7/8″ x 4-1/4″
  • Soft Seafoam cardstock
    • background card front — 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
    • inside panel left side — 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
    • inside strip — 3/4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Crumb Cake cardstock
    • art piece — 2-5/8″ x 3-7/8″

  1. Start with the Soft Seafoam cardstock as they have to be preped to because DSP.  Using the stamp that looks like a bunch of  hashtags put all together  and the little dots stamp, and using Pretty Peacock  ink create your background by stamping over the piece for the card front, the piece for inside, and the strip for the inside.
  2. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake, then will become the art piece when the stamping and coloring are complete.
  3. On the Crumb Cake piece, stamp the flowers from Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Stamp Set in Versa Mark ink.
  4. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder over the Versa Mark and heat set using a heat tool.
  5. Color the flowers and leaves using White Craft ink and a Water Painter.  You can see how that looks on a previous blog by clicking the link to the post.  Let the White Craft ink dry well before coloring with other colors.
  6. Use Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green inks and a Water Painter to color the flowers.
  7. Stamp the HELLO greeting from Stampin’ Up! Layering Leaves Stamp Set in Memento Black in on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and bannerize one end.
  8. Make a Mary Deatherage bow using Linen Thread.
  9. Adhere the Soft Seafoam cardstock piece to the card base.
  10. Adhere the art piece to the Basic White mat using adhesive of choice.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue .
  11. Pop the art piece over the Soft Seafoam background piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  12. Pop the greeting over the bottom of the flowers.
  13. Adhere the bow using Glue Dots.
  14. Pop Iridescent Basic Pearls around the art piece.  That finishes the card front.
  15. Stamp a butterfly from Stampin’ Up! Sketched Butterflies in Versa Mark ink.
  16. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder over the Versa Mark and heat emboss.
  17. Color the butterfly using Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, And Mossy Meadow inks and a Water Painter.
  18. Fussy Cut the butterfly.
  19. Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on a Basic White panel.
  20. Adhere the other Soft Seafoam piece to the left inside card base using adhesive of choice.
  21. Adhere the sentiment panel over it using adhesive of choice.
  22. Pop the butterfly over the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  23. Stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Layering Leaves Stamp Set on a Basic White panel using Memento Black ink.
  24. Adhere the panel to the card base using adhesive of choice.
  25. Add the Soft Seafoam strip down the right side of the panel.
  26. A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Regals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (I used a Gorgeous Grape piece) adhered to the envelope flap using adhesive of choice.
