Stampin’ Up! Tea Together

Stampin’ Up! Tea Together

My challenge for today is with Vintage Journey.  A Cup of Tea For Your Art is the challenge.  Dye your card stock, flowers, ribbon using tea,  splash the tea on your paper or leave cup rings.  It is going to be fun.

The card I am sharing is from the Stampin’ Up! Tea Together Stamp Set.  This was a fun card to make.  Since the challenge is to use tea to dye your paper or ribbon or other elements of your creation, the first thing I did was to cut a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock and dye it using tea and a tea bag.  I spread paper towels on the kitchen counter and laid my card stock on it so there would not be such a mess.  I had a cup of tea and wet the card stock with the tea, then dried it using the heat tool.  The process was repeated and this time I rubbed the tea bag over the card stock.  I kept repeating this process until I got the desired color.

I made the edges of the dyed panel ragged by tearing the card stock all around.  I then sponged with Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink.  The card base is  Stampin’ Up! Pretty Peacock card stock. A Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock mat is cut and the dyed panel is adhered at an angle on it, then a Stampin’ Up! Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is wrapped around the two panels and a bow is tied.

I stamped a panel of Stampin’ Up! Pool Party card stock using the Stampin’ Up! Crackle Stamp and Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink that was stamped off once.  Using this panel I stamped the art image from the Stampin’ Up! Tea Together Stamp Set and cropped out using the Stampin’ Up! Tea Time Dies.  The teapot and cup popped on the dyed panel using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue.  The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Tea Together Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink. These two panels are then popped on the card base at an angle also.  All the panels and the teapot and cup are embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtles Embossing Folder before being adhered.

The inside panel is a panel of the Whisper White card stock that I dyed.  The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Waterfront Stamp Set is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on the dyed panel.  This panel and the mat are also placed at an angle on the card base.

In finishing my project I stamped the envelope flap with one of the flower stamps to coordinate the card and envelope and then colored using the Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, Light and Dark Petal Pink and Light Call Me Clover Pens.

Thank your for stopping by today.  I hope your day has been blessed.
