Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms Thinking of You

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palmsstamp set and the Chic Dies plus various stamp pads.

My card is a beach scene so I am entering the Double D Challenge.

The Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge is also a  beachy outdoor scene.

Since my card is a fun fold, I am also entering the Creative Creases Challenge.

This is a diagram I found on the internet of how to score and cut the card base.  I did not score in the top portion as this diagram shows.  I did follow the remaining instructions on cutting and scoring.

Using many different tools to apply the many colors of ink I use to create the sky, ocean, and beach on an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Basic White card stock I created a beach scene as if I was camping on the beach. After all the coloring was finished, I cut the finished piece into three pieces to match the folds of the card.   The pieces are applied to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The tent is stamped in Soft Suede ink and colored using So Saffron ink.  I used a few faux pebbles to create the fire pit.

Palm trees are stamped in Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz inks. The tree trunks are stamped in Soft Suede ink.  They are then popped on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Grass from the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizion stamp set is used to create the grass.  The grass is popped at the base of the palm trees using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The belly band is created using a strip of Texture Chic DSP.  I colored all the DSP using Coastal Cabana ink.  The starkness of the panel of DSP did not go with the colors used for the card.  The sea shells are cropped from a scrap of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.  One sea shell is cropped from a panel of the Texture Chick DSP. The greeting is from my stash of thinking of you stamps. Several Faux Sea Grass Shapes are popped in the circle.  The circle is cropped from a piece of Basic White card.  Looking at the picture it seems I have misplaced my seashell die.  I sure hope it will be found.

The inside panel of Basic White card stock has a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Paradise Palms stamp set stamped in Old Olive ink.  A palm tree is adhered to the panel also.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Texture Chic DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon Birthday Card

Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon Birthday Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon Stamp Bundle, along with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  The Basic White panel is embossed using the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder, the New Horizon DSP with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder

One of my challenges for the day is Addicted to Stamps and More — theme for this challenge is Any Occasion

The first thing I did was to crop the circle from a piece of the New Horizon DSP to pop on the card front that is a panel of the same DSP.  Birds were stamped on the circle before it is adhered to a scalloped Evening Evergreen card stock circle.  You can see how I fitted it on the card front but I haven’t added Stampin’ Dimensionals yet.

Dies from the Horizon Dies are used to crop trees and hills from a scrap of the New Horizon DSP.  The trees are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The hills are popped over the lower part of the trees using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Grass is stamped in the lower corner using Evening Evergreen ink and a few of the Pebble Enamel Shapes are added to the grass.  A greeting is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a circle cropped from a scrap of the New Horizon DSP.

The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen and Old Olive ink on a panel of  Basic White card stock.  Grass and birds are also stamped on the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of On The Horizon DSP applied to the envelope using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.
