Stampin’ Up! Sending Sunshine

Friday and the week is ending! Are you looking forward to the weekend? I know most people are getting ready for the Super Bowl on Sunday. Not our house we gave up Pro Football several years ago.

Today’s card is the remnants of a Paper Pumpkin, I added bits and pieces to it to create the card.

My inspiration for today’s challenge comes from the Inspire, Create Challenge. The theme for this challenge is cute critters. I believe my cute little koala meets the requirements for cute.

The card base is a leftover from the January Paper Pumpkin as is the Blackberry Bliss card stock mat for the Dandy Garden DSP heart. Card cuts are at the bottom of this post.

The cute little koala holding the heart in his cute little paws is popped on the corner of the Dandy Garden DSP heart. The cute raccoon or squirrel from the Special Someone Stamp Set would make a perfect little critter to pop on the card holding a heart you have cropped from the Meant To Be Stamp Set. The little critter in the Dino Days Stamp Set would make a cute, cute little fellow to hold a heart for this card. Pampered Pets Stamp Set also has cute critters.

The greeting is from the Lots of Heart Stamp Set and is stamped in Calypso Coral ink. Three Champagne Basic Jewels are popped on the card front.

The sentiment is from the Sending Sunshine Stamp Set and the Meant To Be Stamp Set. They are stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on the Basic White card stock panel that has a heart from the Many Hearts Dies cropped in the center of the card. A piece of Calypso Coral card stock is placed behind the heart to show through the pin dots.

The medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Dandy Garden DSP applied to the envelope flap.

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Dies and Stampin’ Up! Sending Sunshine Stamp Set.

Design inspiration is from Freshly Made Sketches – A Sketch by Julie.

The card base is Whisper White card stock with a panel of the same embossed with the Stampin’ Up! Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

A panel of the Stampin’ Up! Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is adhered over the Whisper White embossed panel. A square of Stampin’ Up! Real Red card stock is embossed using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and then popped over the plaid DSP using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

From Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock a poinsettia from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Dies is cropped, brushed with Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink. It is then popped over the Real Red square using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Leaves from the dies are cropped from a scrap of Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow card stock and the berries are cropped from scraps of Real Red card stock.

The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Sending Sunshine stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on the Whisper White panel. The panel is trimmed with a strip of the Plaid Tidings DSP.

A Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the Plaid Tidings DSP added to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Flowers For Every Season

Aren’t we having a glorious Fall day?

There are three challenges that inspired me for today:

Freshly Made Sketches for a clean and simple design.

Watercooler Wednesday with Helen’s Challenge: All About Occasions. My occasion is Thanksgiving. Recently I have been making Thanksgiving cards for my sister and they all have the same greeting and sentiment.

The Sisterhood of Crafter – their challenge is embossing wet or dry. I have dry embossed my card.

Three days ago was the beginning of the card I am sharing today from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Goodness Stamp Set for the greeting, Stampin’ Up! Sunflower Dies, Stampin’ Up! Ornate Floral Embossing Folder, and Stampin’ Up! Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. You can see it is bright and cheery, not your typical fall card colors.

I started with a Stampin’ Up! Just Jade card stock base added a Stampin’ Up! Just Jade card stock layer embossed with the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

A panel of Whisper White card stock was cut and adhered for the mat to the Stampin’ Up! Flowers For Every Season DSP panel. Two different pieces of the DSP is used. The leaves motif is cropped from a scrap when the Ornate Floral embossed panel was cut. A die from the Stampin’ Up! Sunflower Dies was used. It is adhered using Multipurpose Glue to several leaves. The “Thankful for You” greeting is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Just Jade ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and using the smallest die from the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Rectangle Dies is cropped and popped on the card front using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Goodness Stamp Set and is stamped in Just Jade ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. A strip of the same DSP used on the card front is added to the side of the panel.

A Stampin’ Up! Medium Whisper White envelope gets a layer of DSP from the Stampin’ Up! Flowers For Every Season DSP.

Welcome to a chilly (right down cold) day here. I thought it was Fall not Winter.

Inspiration for this card design is from the Freshly Made Sketches – 459 sketch by jen

The card today features the Stampin’ Up! Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder and the Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper (available in January 2021). The hello greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set.

How do you give instructions on creating? The card base is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock with a background panel embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder. Two different pieces of the Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden DSP is using in cutting the angles. You can cut the angles the desired size you prefer. Fussy cut the little dragonflies and the bees and pop on the blue piece. Three Stampin’ Up! 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots are added to the card front.

The more I looked at the inside panel the more I felt it would be better as just a blank page with only the small greeting. Maybe it is the angle it was photographed.

The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White medium size envelope gets a panel of the Dandy Garden DSP added to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods

Up! WFriday is here and the weekend looms ahead. Any fabulous plans for the weekend?

The card today is a Z – fold card. This type card is fun to create.

The inspiration for today comes from the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge – Karen’s Challenge All About Occasions

Usually, the card cuts to create a card is at the end of the post but I think cuts may be needed in giving instructions creating this card.

To create a double z fold card, start with a piece of Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler cardstock that measures 8-1/2″ x 11″ inches. From this piece of cardstock, you will cut one piece of card stock 4-1/4″ x 11″ score this piece at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″. Cut a 1″ x 11″ piece of Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler card stock and score it at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″. This will form your z fold section that is the base for your trees to be attached.

Double Z Fold Measurements:

A – Cherry Cobbler card stock 4-1/4″ x 11″ card base, scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
B – Cherry Cobbler card stock 1-1/4″ x 11″ cardstock (front piece), scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″
C – Tis’ The Season Designer Series Paper – larger panel – 4″ x 5-1/4″
Whisper White (sentiment) 3 ” x 4″ Cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Tis’ The Season Designer Paper – the two panels behind the 3 trees

Before you adhered the 1″ strip to the card base you need to adhere the Stampin’ Up! Tis The Season Designer Series Paper that goes on the card base. The measurement for each panel is above. Once you have done that adhere the 1″ strip. The Z fold goes opposite the way the card base folds. You can see from above that the smaller folded section goes to the right side. The larger section goes to the left where the three trees are attached.

The trees from the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods stamp set are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Shaded Spruce ink and cropped using the In the Woods Dies. Two trees are cropped from Shaded Spruce card stock using one of the In the Woods Dies. The trees are then adhered to the 1″ strip that has been adhered to the card base. The sentiment and greeting are stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White card stock and cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone Basic Jewels are colored using a Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends Cherry Cobbler Marker. A Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Medium Envelope gets a panel of the Tis’ The Season DSP added to the envelope flap.
