Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

The card I am sharing today is an easel card.  It is very easy to make.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set to create the card along with Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and the Stampin’ Up! Hope and Peace stamp set for the greeting and sentiment.

I am entering the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge. Their theme for this challenge is Any Occasion.

I am also entering the Sketch Saturday Challenge.

To start you will need a piece of card stock cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. I used Basic White card stock.  Score at 5-1/2″ and 2-1/8″.  Fold on the 2-1/8″ score line.  This is a valley fold.  The other piece of Basic White you see in the photo is to create the easel.  It is adhered to the upper portion of the fold.  It is easier if you put the adhesive on the fold and not the panel you are attaching.

This is how the card looks when folded to creat the easel stand.

This is a side view of the easel after the panel is adhered to create the easel.  I have used clips to hold in place as I need to decorate the panel.  I put a temporary stop for the easel until the card is finished.

I stamped poinsettias in Real Red ink using an image from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set. I cropped using dies from the coordinating dies that come with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  I cut a 4-18″ x 5-3/8″ panel of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and adhered to the Basic White panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut a 2-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ panel from a different design and adhered over the red one.  I wrapped a length of gold ribbon around the panel adhered in the back using tape.  The poinsettia and all the fussy cut leaves and twigs are arranged over the ribbon and adhered with either Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hope and Peace stamp set is stamped in Real Red ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut and popped on the card front.  The card front is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A different design of the Designer Series Paper is adhered to the inside and the stop for the easel is created by stamping a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hope and Peace stamp set on a piece of Basic White card stock and cropping using a die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  Stampin’ Dimensionals are popped on the back and it is adhered onto the Mossy Meadow panel creating the stop for the easel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments

My first Christmas card of the season.  The card I am sharing is created using the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set and Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies.

The Krafty Chicks Challenge fits my card perfectly, so I am entering it.  Their theme for this challenge is Christmas.

I am happy this stamp set carried over from last year’s July-December 2021 Mini and you can see why in the above photo.  I had these all ready to put cards together and ended up in the hospital for 9 days and never finished my cards, so no one received a card last year.  I saw these in the cabinet with my stamps and thought well this is current now, I will finish what was started a year ago, therefore, you are getting the first Christmas card of the season.

I started with a Soft Succulent card stock card base.  To that, I added a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock embossed using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.

The Soft Succulent and Basic White embossed pieces are also cropped using one of the dies that come with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  You can crop and emboss at the same time. The Basic White embossed piece is matted over the Soft Succulent one.

The poinsettia, holly berries, and JOY are stamped in Real Red ink on Basic White then cropped using dies from the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  The holly leaves and sprigs are stamped in Old Olive and Soft Succulent ink.

Sprigs are cropped from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen card stock. All the elements are arranged and adhered to the embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three Rhinestone Basic Jewels are colored using a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker and popped on the card front. The word JOY is stamped in Real Red ink, cropped, and popped on the card front.

A sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a Basic White card stock panel.  Holly leaves and berries are popped in the lower corner.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a panel of 2021-2023 In Color DSP adhered to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Merry Moments Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Merry Moments Thinking of You

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Merry Moments Stamp Set, along with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder, includes the dies also.  If this is a set you are thinking of purchasing, go ahead it will be on the Retired List and could be sold out soon, but will return next year but not as a bundle.  So far now it is a great price for the three items.

The Sunday Stamps Challenge is the inspiration for card colors.  My colors are Real Red, Soft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen.

Another challenge I am joining is Addicted Stamps and More — Any Occasion.

Start with  Evening Evergreen card stock base, add a panel of the same embossed using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Using a sponge, sponge silver ink on the embossed spots.  It highlights the embossing.

I started by embossing a panel of Basic White card stock using the folder.  The picture shows two ways of doing this.  You can emboss a panel of card stock and do no cropping or you can crop using the dies enclosed in the embossing folder.  I did the second one for this card as you will see as we go on.  Two small poinsettias are cropped from Real Red card stock and will be adhered to the corners of the Tidings of Christmas DSP embossed panel.

This is a sample from another card I made,  You can see that card here.  I started by embossing a panel of Basic White card stock using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  The picture shows two ways of doing this.  You can emboss a panel of card stock and do no cropping or you can crop using the dies enclosed in the embossing folder.  I did the second one for this card as you will see as we go on.  I also did a panel in Real Red card stock.  You can see the Real Red behind the Tidings of Christmas DSP.

You can see how the die is placed around the embossed piece if you forget to enclose it in the embossing folder before you emboss it.  The piece on the right side is cropped using the more intricate die.

This is the die that crops the more intricate piece.  The label die can be used to cut the label out of the center as you crop the other piece.  You can see in the photo that a Real Red card stock one is cropped along with the Tidings of Christmas DSP one.  The Tidings of Christmas DSP is layered over the Real Red so that the Red will show.  On the label piece, a greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Stamp Set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.

After all the cropping and embossing is finished the pieces are then adhered to a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock that has also been embossed using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder, it has not been cropped so you can see the snowflakes around the edges that have been highlighted using Silver ink.

A panel of Basic White card stock is stamped with a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Stamp Set using Evening Evergreen ink.  Holly leaves are stamped in Soft Succulent ink and the holly berries are stamped in Real Red ink.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Tidings of Christmas DSP applied to the envelope flap using liquid glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Stamp Set and the Merriest Frames Embossing Folder.  This set comes with three pieces: the Merriest Moments Stamp Set, the Hybrid Embossing Folder, and the 16 Dies included in the Hybrid Embossing Folder and you get all these dies even if you purchase the embossing folder without the stamp set.  What does Hybrid mean, it indicates this embossing folder has a coordinating die that can be run through with the embossing folder, at the same time!   There are two different dies that you can put through the embossing machine that enclose in the embossing folder.

The challenge I am joining today is the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.  I choose across the bottom, die-cut, sequins/gems, red.

I started by embossing a panel of Basic White card stock using the folder.  The picture shows two ways of doing this.  You can emboss a panel of card stock and do no cropping or you can crop using the dies enclosed in the embossing folder.  I did the second one for this card as you will see as we go on.

I used this die to crop the background piece for the embossed piece that has been cropped using the intricate die to do so.  You can see the background piece and how it fits in the next picture.

I cropped the background piece from a panel of Tiding of Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Glue is adhered to the middle of the cropped piece so the foliage would have a bit of movement.  It is then adhered to a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock that has also been embossed using the Hybrid Embossing Folder, it has not been cropped so you can see the snowflakes around the edges.

My design is thanks to several people from Pinterest, among them is our leader, Amy Koenders, who had achieved a great milestone, one we all aspire to, she now joins the elite ranks of those who has achieved the 1M or more in sales. Along with Amy, there is Mary Deatherage, Jaimie Barbarczy, Jenny Hayward, Australia, I watched several of her videos,  Diana Gibbs, and many more.  Thank you ladies for your ideas and help in learning how to use all these dies and the embossing folder.  I suppose that is why it has taken me so long to make a card with this set, I have been watching videos.

The poinsettia is stamped in Real Red ink on a panel of Basic White along with holly leaves stamped in Soft Succulent ink and the other greenery is stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink. Twigs and stems are cropped from Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent card stock using a die from the Poinsettia Dies.  The center of seeds in the center of the poinsettia are stamped in Memento Black ink.

I stamped two of the large poinsettias and one small and layered them using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  All are arranged in the corner of the card front over the embossed piece.  Holly leaves and berries are popped in the opposite corner at the top.  Three red Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped on the card front.  The greeting is stamped in Real Red ink a, fussy cut and popped on the card front with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Tidings of Christmas 6′ x 6″ DSP applied to the envelope flap using liquid glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.
