Stampin” Up! Hooray For Surprises Stamp Set

Stampin’ Up! Softly Sophisticated — Hello

This is a very simple fun fold that I am sharing today. It is a great card for beginning stampers. I used Stampin’ Up! Softly Sophisticated stamp set and the 3D Embossing Folder that comes with the stamp set. A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set is used along with two dies from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions Dies.

The card base is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Real Red cardstock. Score at 2-18″ and 4-1/4″. This will give the panels of the card.

Starting with the left panel these are the measurements you will need for each panel.

First Panel — which is the card front when card is closed.

2′ x 5-3/8″ — Basic White cardstock
1-7/7″ x 5-1/4″ — Most Adored Designer Series Paper

Second Panel

2″ x 5-3/8″ — Basic White cardstock
1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ — Most Adored Designer Series Paper
1-3/4″ x 5-1/8″ — art piece

Third Panel — this panel is created by adding a panel of Basic White cardstock to the left side of the main panel.

2″ x 5-3/8″ — Basic White cardstock

Fourth Panel —

4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ — Most Adored Designer Series Paper. The third panel from above is adhered to the left side of this panel. Stamp a sentiment before adhering. I used a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set.

Flowers from Stampin’ Up! Softly Sophisticated stamp set are stamped in Real Red for the flowers and Shaded Spruce ink for the leaves, on a piece of Basic White cardstock that has been die cut using a die from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions Dies. A Basic Black mat is also die cut using a larger die. Flowers from the same stamp set are stamped on the second panel which is a panel cut from Most Adored Designer Series Paper. This adhered over another piece of Most Adorned Designer Series Paper. The sentiment panel also has flowers stamped in the corner.

Faux Leather Ribbon is wrapped around the art piece on the front and tied in a knot. White sequins from Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio Pack are popped around the card.

A Basic White envelop flap gets a piece of Most Adorned Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises with Lovely Lavender

The card I am sharing today is a CAS of a few different people, including the Paper Pumpkin video done each month showcasing the card creation of different people and how they created alternative cards. Is that what we do, take this idea from one person, another idea from another and so on until we have the card of our choice?

Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set, Pansy Patch stamp set, the stamp set from the January 2024 Paper Pumpkin, Perennial Postage Dies,

I am entering Can You Handle The Pressure? Challenge for this card.

Start with a Gorgeous Grape cardstock card base.
Add a Lost Lagoon Layer to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Cut a piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP).
Die cut the piece using a 2nd largest die from Perennial Postage Dies.
Emboss the piece using Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder.
Add the piece over the Lost Lagoon cardstock layer using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Using a tag from Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin January 2024 Kit, pop on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Die cut a piece of Basic White cardstock using a die from Thoughtful Expression Dies.
Stamp in Highland Heather ink, the leaf image from the Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin January 2024 Kit.
Emboss the Basic White piece using Timeworn Type 3 D Embossing Folder.
Adhere this piece over the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using leaves and lavender from the Lovely Lavender Kit wrap a length of Crumb Cake twine around the bouquet a few times.
Tie a bow on the bouquet.
Add Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels that have been colored using a Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends to the card front.
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, add the bouquet to the card front.
On a Basic White cardstock scrap stamp a sentiment, making it 4 layers to give dimensions.
Adhered to the card front using adhesive of your choice.
On a piece of Perennial Lavender, the same pattern as the card front, stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set and Pansy Patch stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink.
Mat the sentiment panel to a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock using Multipurpose Glue or adhesive of your choice.
Adhere the sentiment combo to the inside of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or adhesive of your choice.
Adhere a piece of the same Designer Series Paper to a Basic White envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! All The Best

The card I am sharing today is an alternative of the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin as I used elements from it to create this card along with a die from Garden Meadow Dies. Or may be I should say I used the negative portion, (but it could be the other way around) of the die cut to create the frame for this card. The December Paper Pumpkin was called All The Best. It was a great kit to receive, it makes for beautiful cards that are so Springy and we need Springy feeling to make us feel more cheerful.

I am joining the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge for this card.

I am also joining the Just Add Ink Challenge for this card.

Start with a Balmy Blue cardstock card base.
Cut a card base from the Kit into two pieces, this will give you the background panel.
Stamp a greeting on the background panel using Balmy Blue ink or a darker blue, maybe Misty Moonlight ink.
Adhere the panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or adhesive of choice
Add the Basic White negative portion of the die cut to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using dandelions from the Kit, adhere them along the bottom of the Basic White frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Pop three 2022-2024 In Color Pearls around the card front.
On a panel of Basic White card stock stamp in Balmy Blue ink or a darker ink a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set.
Stamp dandelions in Crush Curry and Old Olive ink on the sentiment panel using a stamp from the Paper Pumpkin All The Best stamps.

One of the envelopes from the kit is used as the envelope for this card. The envelope has a dandelion of the front and dandelions blowing against a blue sky for the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises

The card today is another happy, cheery card. I love red and purple together. I used Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprises stamp set, as you can see. I also used Softly Sophisticated 3 D Embossing Folder and Stylish Shapes Dies. I’ve made this fun fold before, but this time it seemed so much easier. Maybe it’s because I made it before.

These are the challenges for this card.

Creative Creases Challenge

Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge

All the card cut are at the end of this post. You may want to do all the cutting and die cutting before starting the putting together process. Most people probably do that, but many cut as they go, I find it easier to cut, stamp, and die cut all pieces before putting together. You can see from the photo how the pieces on the card front are layered.

A panel of Basic White is embossed using Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder along with the heart. The panel is adhered to the card base, then the Real Read, Gorgeous Grape, and Basic White cardstock pieces are adhered to the embossed panel. The Most Adored Designer Series Paper heart is popped in the middle the Basic White piece. The heart has three other die cut heart adhered to it to give it dimension, so dimensionals to not have to be used.

After you have scored the 5″ x 8″ piece of Basic White cardstock at 2″, 4″, 6″ center a die of your choice to create the opening for the heart. I used the largest circle die from Stylish Shapes to create mine. Adhere the Gorgeous Grape panels to the edge of each side of the card base. Then adhere the designer series paper over the Gorgeous Grape cardstock panels. Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Hooray For Surprise stamp set in Real Red ink on the two Basic White hearts. Take a length of twine and adhered between the two hearts. Adhere the heart in the opening of the circle by attaching the string to the back of the Basic White panel. You can see in the photo how the heart hangs.

Adhere the Fun Fold panel to the right and left side of the card base. Line the first score line and the last score line with the edge of the Gorgeous Grape pieces. You can see in the photo. Adhere your fussy cut bees with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White medium envelope gets a piece of Most Adored Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
