Stampin’ Up! Everyday Details — Hello

Stampin’ Up! Everyday Details — Hello

I am sad that today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration and this beautiful Flight and Airy Designer Series Paper will be gone.  If you think it as beautiful as I do and love making cards using it, today is the last day it will be available.  It maybe already gone, since it is a free item with Sale-a-Bration.  I used it along with Stampin’ Up! Everyday Details stamp set, the 3 D embossing folder that comes with the Softly Sophisticated stamp set, another free Sale-a-Bration item,  Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set, and Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set.

All card cuts will be at the end of this blog post.

  1. Start with a Basic White cardstock card base — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″.
  2. Cut a of Misty Moonlight cardstock mat.
  3. Cut three pieces of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, see measurement at the end of the post.
  4. Emboss the two upper pieces using the 3 D embossing folder in Softly Sophisticated Stamp Bundle, a free Sale-a-Bration item with a qualified order.
  5. Adhere the three pieces to the Misty Moonlight cardstock piece using Multipurpose Glue or adhesive of your choice.  Leave a border as shown in the above picture.
  6. On a piece of Basic White cardstock stamp the bird nest image from Stampin’ Up! Everyday Details stamp set in Pecan Pie ink.
  7. Color the image using Crumb Cake and Boho Blue Stampin’ Blends.
  8. Fussy cut the bird nest.
  9. Stamp on a scrap of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set.
  10. Pop the bird nest over the top two piece of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Before popping the bird nest on, cut piece of Faux Leather Trim and adhere behind the bird nest using Glue dots.
  11. Pop the greeting in the lower right corner using a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  12. Pop 2022-2024 In Color Pearls around the card front.
  13. Now, the Misty Moonlight piece is ready to be popped on the Basic White card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  14. Stamp a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beach Day stamp set in Memento Black in on a panel of Basic White cardstock.
  15. Add birds like the birds on the card front to a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock, adhering at the bottom of the Basic White panel.
  16. Adhere the Basic White cardstock sentiment panel to a Misty Moonlight cardstock mat.
  17. Adhere the sentiment panel to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  18. Add two 2022-2024 In Color Pearls to the panel.
  19. To a Basic White envelope add a piece of Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that you get to pre-order before a new catalog  launches so you are able to show your customers what they can look forward to having when the new catalog comes out.  You will also be getting at least a 20% discount on purchases. If you love card making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle

The card I am sharing today is a fun fold created using Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set.  I also used the Splatters Embossing Fold from the Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folder.  I call this fun fold, an easel with a flap.

I find inspiration from the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge for this card.  I am choosing the bottom row across, Flowers, Ribbon/Twine, Free.

Start with a piece of Basic White card stock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″.   Score at 5-1/2 & 2-3/4″. Fold and burnish the 5-1/2″ score first, then fold the 2-3/4″ into a mountain fold and burnish well.  The small card will be adhered over the Glimmer Paper using your favorite adhesive.  Remember to stamp your sentiment before adhering to the easel portion.  I forgot to and had to stamp my sentiment on a separate piece of Basic White card stock and then adhere to the small card.

Adhere pieces of  Orchid Oasis Glimmer Paper from the 2022-2024 In-Color 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper to the areas shown in the above photo.

On a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic White card stock stamp in Tuxedo Memento Black ink the thistles from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set.

Color using Fresh Freesa, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blends Markers. A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set is stamp in the upper right corner using Tuxedo Memento Black ink.

After the ink was well dry and even with Stampin’ Blends the card stock can be damp for a few minutes, I used Wink of Stella on the thistle.

Emboss this art piece using the Splatter 3D Embossing Folder from Stripes and Splatters 3D Embossing Folders. I embossed on the negative side and you can barely see the embossing on the thistle.

A small thistle is stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with the same Stampin’ Blends Marker as used on the card front. A second greeting is stamped on the Basic White piece using Memento Black ink.  The piece is then embossed using the Stripes Embossing Folder from the Stripes and Splatters Embossing Folder.  A small thistle is popped on the bottom of the card front as the stop for the flap that comes over and stop at the thistle.

On a piece of Basic White card stock I stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set. I stamped the small thistle in the lower corner and colored with the same Stampin’ Blends as on the card front.  I then adhered to the inside of the small card.  I had forgotten to stamp the sentiment before adhering to the easel card.

Basic White medium envelope gets a piece of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap.

Happy Easter everyone.  I hope you have a blessed day celebrating this most famous of all day.  Don’t eat too many jelly beans, peeps, or chocolate eggs.  Have a great day with your family.

Stampin’ Up! Sea Life It’s A Good Day Card

Stampin’ Up! Sea Life It’s A Good Day Card

The card I am sharing today, happened by accident.  I had cropped a seahorse image from the Stampin’ Up! Sea Life Dies and put the negative portion on my desk on top of a Coastal Cabana card base, I had planned on using the card base for another card.  When I saw how it looked, I thought why not… so here it is as a card.  I added a Basic White mat, making the negative image show up even better.

My challenge for the day is the Daisy Chain Challenge.  Daisies have always been my favorite, not roses as most people choose, so I just had to join this challenge.

The card base is Coastal Cabana with a panel of the same  for the background panel and embossed using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I had cut the seahorse from the Black Glitter paper planning to use on another card, but it turned out not the ideal creature for the card, it being black.  I matted it on a piece of Basic White card stock as I mentioned earlier to give a tiny border around the black.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Hello Ladybug stamp set is stamped in Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut, and popped on the card front using a Mini Dimensional and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I decided to use the seahorse on the inside panel. The remainder of the card is blank for a message, be it birthday, hello, anniversary, or a dozen other celebrations.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the 6″ x 6″ DSP Bright Assortment applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Thank you for stopping by today.
