Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia

Happy Saturday everyone! Welcome to my blog.  I hope you are having a glorious day, we plan on it being one.  We off soon to see our granddaughter before she leaves for college next week.  It will be one of those “Roll Tide” unless they are playing the “dawgs” and then it will be “Go Dawgs”.  Their school of dance was the best fit for her, but I think she will still be a “dawg” at heart.  Can’t believe its time for her to go to college.  Enjoy each moment folks.  The time of leaving home comes much too swift.

Now on to the card making!  The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia and Magnolia Lane DSP.

My challenge is with Try Stamping on Tuesday.  It is a sketch challenge.

And…

Watercooler Wednesday – Karen’s Feminine “Anything Goes” Challenge

My card has a Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow card stock base with the focal panel, a panel from Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.  There is also a square of the DSP used as a background piece for the art panel. Tuxedo Memento Black ink is used to stamp the art panel on a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock square using the Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set.  It is colored using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils in Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, and Early Espresso.  All these layers are adhered with either Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The tiny bow is made using Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread and is adhered with a Stampin’ Up! Mini Glue Dot.  A single pearl from the Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels is the finishing touch to the card front.

The inside sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on a  panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.  The sentiment panel is matted on a panel of DSP that matches the one on the card front.

In finishing my card project, I decorated the flap of a medium-size  Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Envelope with the DSP that coordinates with the focal panel on the card front.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Enjoy your Saturday!

Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane

Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane

My card today is created using the new Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set (available June 4)

Here are the challenges I think my card will fit today.  Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

And…   Craftyhazelnut’s Patterned Paper Challenge.

And…  Watercooler Wednesday  Anything Goes Challenge

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow card stock.  Then there is a Stampin’ Up! Petal Pink card stock mat for the Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (available June 4).  These are adhered together using Liquid Multipurpose Glue. What do you think of the Mossy Meadow strip that is vertical down the panel of Magnolia Lane DSP?  It looks like a ribbon doesn’t it, but it is the strip that I cut off the Magnolia Lane DSP when I was cutting it for the correct size.  It even looks as if it has a Whisper White mat but that is just the strip on each side of the Mossy Meadow strip.  This is the reverse side of the Magnolia Lane panel. The greeting is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow ink on a Stampin’ Up! Petal Pink card stock label that has been punched using the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Label Punch (from the Mosiac Mood Suite available June 4).  It is matted on a Mossy Meadow card stock mat that is cut with the same punch.  Two small Magnolias have been fussy cut and popped on the label and in the lower right corner along with a Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewel.  Two other pearls are popped in the upper right corner.

The envelope flap has been covered to coordinate with the Magnolia Lane panel on the card front.

Here is the first card I made for this challenge, but after making it I did not like it so I made the card you see above.  Quite a contrast right?

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope your day is blessed.
