Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday

Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday

Welcome!

Inspiration for today’s design comes from the Global Design Project.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot card stock with a panel from Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper used as the background panel.  The art panel, matted using Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock, is Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla card stock and the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Duet Punch is used to punch the butterflies in the panel.  My card is a CAS(E) of one  Tamie Ackerson created. You can see hers here.  I needed a belated birthday card for a good friend that I missed her birthday plus I just remembered tomorrow is my little sister’s birthday and I forgot to mail her a card also.  Wonder where my memory is these days, I think I have brain overload.

The piece has a hole punched to run the Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread through and then adhered to the back of the background panel.  A double loop bow is also made and popped on the panel using a  Glue Dot. Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels are popped on the butterflies and one by the greeting.

The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set and is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Merry Merlot ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Two butterflies have been punched in the panel so the DSP will give the butterflies a pattern.

The Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla envelope gets a panel of the Pressed Petals DSP added to the envelope flap for the final finishing touches and two butterflies that have been cut from the DSP to the right corner.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely

Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely

Welcome and Happy Monday!  Why do people always dread Monday?  What is it about Monday that causes such dread?

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set.  This is one of those set that has seen little use.  I have so many stamp sets that have seen little or no use, and I am sure there are many of you out there in the same boat.  We keep collecting but not using.  Is our goal to create cards or collect stamps?  A little of both would you not say?

Sometimes when your brain is on overload and you can’t seem to up with one creative idea, it is time to turn to our trusty ole catalog for an idea, that is what I have done for today.  Page 81 to be exact.

I am joining in with these challenges today!

The Sisterhood of Crafters.   Happy Birthday Debbie!  Hope it is a grand celebration.

Watercooler Wednesday.  WWC229-Helen’s “All About Occasions” Challenge.

And…  Through the Craft Room Door – Anything Goes Challenge

I started by cutting a panel of Stampin’ Up! Purple Posey card stock for the base and for the focal panel also the inside sentiment panel.

Using the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Flowers Dies, one of the Purple Posey panel was cropped with the flowers.  A panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock is used to stamp the flowers in Stampin’ Up! Purple Posey ink and in Pear Pizzazz ink.  This is placed under the Purple Posey panel so the stamped flowers will show through the cut-outs.  The greeting panel is cut from Whisper White card stock and stamped in Stampin’ Up! Flirty Flamingo ink.  The corners are punched with one of those little stamps that is so handy for corners that you do not want to get rid of even though Stampin’ Up! may have retired it long ago. Seems maybe Stampin’ Up! used it also looking at their picture on page 81. Any corner punch can be used or it can be left blank.

The little flowers are cropped out using the little die from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Flowers Dies as is the little leaves stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink.  The Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is wrapped around the card and the greeting it popped over it using Stampin’ Up! Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment panel is a panel of Purple Posey card stock that has been cropped with the Lovely Flowers Dies and is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The sentiment is stamped in Flirty Flamingo on the Purple Posey panel.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the color theme of the card.  I gave the envelope flap a panel from the Stampin’ Up! 6″ x 6″ 2019-2021 Incolor Designer Series Paper.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I  hope you like my card and find inspiration from it.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can

Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can

One day closer to celebrating the birth of our country!  What great plans do you have for celebrating July 4th?

The card I am sharing today is created from Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can Stamp Set.

My challenge is with Sunday Stamps.

And… don’t you love this name, I think it is so cool!  Watercooler Wednesday!

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel.  Cut  4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2″ and folded.

A panel has been cut from the Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals DSP as the main background panel.  This side of the beautiful DSP looks like burlap, there is no need for embossing to give it that textured look.  The vertical floral panel is from the lovely Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals Designer Specialty Series Paper.  This is such a beautiful paper pack, it makes you not want to cut it.  A must buy for your stash!  This panel is bordered with Blueberry Bushel card stock cut using Stampin’ Up! Delicate Lace Dies.

The art panel is stamped from the Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can Stamp Set.  Blueberry Bushel ink has been used to stamp the image.  Some coloring was done to the image using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils, and Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in  Light Pineapple Punch and Light Old Olive.  Three rhinestones from the Stampin’ Up! Noble Peacock Rhinestones is scattered on the card front.

The inside sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set and is stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.  A panel matching the card front is adhered on the left side of the Whisper White panel.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of the card front.   I   gave the envelope flap a panel from the same Stampin’ Up! Pressed Petals  DSP  that is on the card front.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed and that you find inspiration and encouragement for your own creations.

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away  Suite and Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set.  I have been requested to create a card for a couple that will soon be married and the bride wants a card with a sailboat as her soon to be husband has one and loves sailing.

My card base is Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock embossed using my favorite embossing folder,  Stampin’ Up! Subtles Embossing Folder.

I am choosing to enter more than one challenge for the day and sure hope that my card fits them all well. In alphabetic order, they are:

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Polka Dots and/or Stripe.  I didn’t have polka dot paper so  I created my own by making the sails of the sailboat polka dot.

Next is the Dragonfly Dreams Challenge for man or boy.  I think this one should qualify as it is for groom.

Next is the  Pinspirational Challenge   I believe the icon they provide for this challenge says it all  L-O-V-E  since my card is for a groom I believe that is love.

And… Watercooler Wednesday  Dawn’s Masculine “Anything Goes” Challenge.  So my card for a bridegroom works for this one also.

The sailboat is one of the laser cuts from the  Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack.  I added the polka dots in the sail and on the boat as I had no polka dot paper.

The greeting on the front is from the  Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack also.

The anchor trinket in the lower right corner is from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Trinkets and is tied with a short length of Stampin’ Up! Braided Linen Trim.  The anchor is popped on the card front using a Glue Dot.

A strip of navy and white stripes from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away DSP is cut and adhered at the bottom of the card front just below the sailboat.  This is in keeping with the  Crafty Gals Challenge to use stripes.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink on a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack and is adhered to a panel  of  Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the theme of sailboat on the card front.  I used two stickers from the Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack to decorate the envelope front. I   gave the envelope flap a panel from the Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away DSP.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and my wish is that your day be blessed and that you find inspiration and encouragement for your own creations.
