Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden

Happy Monday.  Have a great week.

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set, the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, and Stampin’ Blends Markers.   I was looking on Pinterest for a Fun Fold card and I found this one created by Melissa’s Crafting Treehouse.

I chose the daisies and the bees from the Card Concept Challenge as my theme for my card today.

The card base is So Saffron card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder.  The embossed panel is adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Cut the following.

  • So Saffron Card Base — 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
  • So Saffron card stock Embossed Panel — 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Mossy Meadow card stock–Fun Fold — 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 3″, 5-1/2″, 8″ and 9-1/2″  Adhere a length of ribbon colored using a So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • Very Vanilla card stock — 3-1/8″ x 4-1/8″  Use Stitched So Sweetly Dies to crop this panel
  • Dandy Garden DSP — 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″
  • Dandy Garden DSP – back of art panel — 2″ x 3″
  • Very Vanilla card stock for a single stamp of flowers — 1-1/4″ x 4-1/8″
  • Very Vanilla card stock sentiment panel — 2-1/4″ x 4-1/8″
  • Dandy Garden DSP — 2-1/4″ x 4-1/8″″
  • Very Vanilla Inside Panel — 2-1/4″ x 4-1/8″

Stamp the flowers from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink.  Color the flowers in So Saffron, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The sentiment on the first panel with a sentiment comes from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set.  It was too long for the panel so I stamped it in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and cut the line apart and placed it on the panel in a zig-zag design, adding three bees.

A panel of Dandy Garden DSP is adhered to the first panel above.  A bee and dragonfly are fussy cut and popped on the panel.  The Very Vanilla card stock panel with the sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. The flowers are stamped from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set also and colored using the same Stampin’ Blends Markers.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Dandy Garden DSP applied to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden

Good Morning! Can you believe this is the last day of February and the last day of Sale-A-Bration.  You need to get your last-minute order in before the time is gone.  Have a great Sunday.   Are you predicting March in come in like a lamb or a lion?  Could be either according to your location.

My inspiration for the design is from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

Today my card is created using the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set and the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.  The Butterfly Bijou DSP is also used.

Start with a Just Jade card stock card base. Crop a panel of Basic White card stock using the largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Stamp in greeting in Tuxedo Memento Black ink then adhere this panel to the card base. Cut the banner across the card from a panel of Butterfly Bijou DSP and for the mat cut a piece from the True Love DSP.

Stamp the flower image from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set on the Basic White card stock square that has been cropped using a die from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  Color the image using Rococo Rose and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Mat on a square of Just Jade card stock. Pop one Elegant Faceted Gem on the card front.

Butterflies are fussy cut from a panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP and adhered at the top and bottom of the Basic White sentiment panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP applied to the envelope flap.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams with Hey Birthday Chick

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams with Hey Birthday Chick

Happy Wednesday!  Do you know why it is called “Hump Day”?

My card today features two stamp sets from the Jan. – June Mini Catalog  — Dragonfly Garden and Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Sets.

My design inspiration comes from the Fab Friday Challenge.

This was an easy card.  A card base and two panels of card stock matted on Calypso Coral card stock and popped on the Old Olive base. The Ornate Garden DSP panel is cropped using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies as is the Basic White art panel.

The Basic White panel cropped using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies has the flower image from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set stamped in Garden Green ink and colored using Light So Saffron, Light Old Olive, and Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The swarm of dragonflies is stamped in Early Espresso ink stamped off once.  I realize now I should have left it full strength after taking a photo.

The greeting from the Hey Birthday Chick is stamped in Old Olive ink on the corner of the Basic White panel.  A single Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel is popped by the greeting.

The sentiment panel has the same flowers as the card front and a sentiment from the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set stamped in Old Olive ink on the Basic White card stock panel.

The medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of the Ornate Garden DSP added to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Detailed Hearts with Dragonfly Garden

Stampin’ Up! Detailed Hearts with Dragonfly Garden

Happy Tuesday everyone.  I hope everyone is having nice weather — NO snow– beautiful first day, but then messy till it is all gone!

The card today features the Detailed Hearts Dies and Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set.  Products used and card cuts are at the end of this post.

The design inspiration for today comes from the Sunday Stamps Challenge.

The card base is Cherry Cobbler card stock with a panel of the Flower & Field DSP (a free Sale-A- Bration item with a $50 purchase).  Over this panel is a panel of Vellum to give the Flower & Field DSP a softer look.

A panel of Basic White card stock is colored using Real Red and Highland Heather inks and Sponges.  This is a technique shown on one of the cards in the Annual Catalog although I do not know if their ink is Real Red and Highland Heather.  It is then cropped using a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

The Detailed Hearts Dies are used to crop the hearts from a panel of Basic White card stock.  The hearts are then colors using a sponge dauber and Real Red and Highland Heather inks.  To me, some of the hearts appear as if they have glitter on them but they do not, it must be the lighting when the photo was taken.  This is then adhered over the colored panel.

The greeting is from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set and is stamped using Highland Heather ink.  It is then cropped using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and popped on the corner of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three Rhinestone Basic Jewels are colored using a Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The card front is completed.

A sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set is stamped in Highland Heather ink on a panel of Basic White card stock, hearts are popped in the upper left corner and the lower right corner.

The envelope flap gets a panel of the Flower & Field DSP on it also.

Dragonfly Garden

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden

Happy Friday everyone.  I hope your day is going great and you are enjoying the chilly weather.  Let it stay chilly, not cold or snow!

I am sharing another card made with the fabulous Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly  Garden stamp set (available January 2021).  I am also using the Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper and the Stampin’ Up! Dragonflies Punch.

My challenge is with Cute Card Thursday – Anything Goes.

And

Craftyhazelnut’s Patterned Paper Challenge – Use patterned paper.

I started with a card base of Stampin’ Up! Bumblebee card stock with a layer of Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow card stock for the mat for the Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden DSP.  The DSP is a piece that had a portion cropped out for another card.   I decided to use the negative space so I stamped flowers and dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set onto a panel of Whisper White card stock and placed the negative portion over the flowers.

A length of Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow 3/16″ Braided Trim is wrapped around the DSP and tied in a bow.  A little dragonfly from the DSP is fussy cut and popped on the flowers in the negative space.   Three Stampin’ Up! Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are added to the card front, one being the head of the large dragonfly that was punched using the Stampin’ Up! Dragonflies Punch.  Now everything is ready to pop onto the card base.  The greeting is from Stampin’ Up! Autumn Goodness stamp set which will be retiring soon.

The inside sentiment panel gets a panel of DSP from the Dandy Garden DSP with a dragonfly stamped in  Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow ink and colored using Stampin’ Up! Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie Blends.  The sentiment is also from the Autumn Goodness stamp set.

A Whisper White envelope gets a panel of the Dandy Garden DSP added to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!
