Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home Missing You

Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home Missing You

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home stamp set with a sneak peek of one of the stamps, I received in my On Tour stamp set.

I always enjoy Addicted to Stamps and More Challenges — I am one of those many people who is addicted to stamping so the title of this challenge is so on point.

My design is inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for this week.

I started with a card base of Basic White card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Timber Embossing Folder and adhered to the card base.

I stamped the image of the bottle in Early Espresso ink on a panel of  Basic White card stock then decided to emboss it.  I thought of using clear embossing powder to give the brown bottle a shine but settled on Copper Embossing Powder from the Metallic Embossing Powders Trio which does the same.  As with most embossing, the direction of light shining on the card can make it appear to be different colors.

An image of a sprig of greenery is stamped in Old Olive ink at the bottle opening. The spray of dots is from an image in the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set and is stamped in Old Olive ink also.  A strip of green from a piece of  You’re A Peach DSP is added to the left side of the panel.  The panel is adhered over the embossed panel on the card front.  I colored three Pearl Basic Jewels using an Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Marker then popped them on the card front.   A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home stamp set is stamped on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut, then popped on the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is also from the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home stamp set and is stamped in Old Olive ink.  The green foliage is also stamped in Old Olive ink.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the You’re A Peach DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are in the post instead of at the end of the post as they usually are.

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned

The card I am sharing today is created using a combination of several stamp sets, some new and some retired. From the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set, probably a set that will soon retire, I used a greeting. The new one is Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set.  I used a sentiment from this set.  From the Stampin’ Up! Hold On To Hope stamp set, I used the cross die. From Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope, and Peaceful Nativity I used sentiments.

One of my challenges for the day is The Creative Crafters Challenge — Anything Goes

Another challenge is the Addicted to Stamps and More — Die Cuts and Stencils.

And… the As You See It Challenge — Spring Flowers

I consider the card base as Basic White card stock with a Highland Heather background piece for the back of the card base.   Score the Basic White panel at 5″ as the base is cut 4″ x 10″, I’ve drawn a diagram of the card cuts at the bottom of the post, so you can see how many of each to cut before you start the card.  You can use any Designer Series Paper you choose and for any occasion.  I need Easter cards, so my 20+ are all Easter.  This card is so easy.  I watched a video that Patty Bennett made.  She stated in her video how easy it is.   You will have to scroll down her page to find her video. I was looking for an easy card and I was making so many.  This would be a good card to make for quick birthday cards.

This is how the card looks when you take the belly band off.  The two triangles of Hand Penned DSP are actually squares that have been scored diagonally and the other half of the triangle adhered to the back of the Basic White card base to create what you are seeing.

This is how the card looks when you open the two triangles.  A panel of Hand Penned DPS is adhered to the card base front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The sentiment is stamped on a small piece of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  It is adhered so it will be hidden when the two triangles are closed.  The belly band is created using the pieces I show in the diagram at the end of the post.

This is how the card looks when it is open all the way.  For the top sentiment, I used a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope stamp set, stamping it in Garden Green ink and cropping using a circle die.  I sponged the edges of the circle using a sponge and Highland Heather ink.  The cross is from the Stampin’ Up! Hold On To Hope stamp set, as I put my dies in with my stamp sets and this is retired, I do not know the name of the die set.  I wrapped a short length of Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon on the top of the cross, then adhered to the card base.  The sentiment at the top is from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Nativity stamp set retired. The one at the bottom is from the Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope stamp set.  They are stamped in Garden Green ink.

A Highland Heather card stock panel is adhered to the back of the Basic White card base.  I am sure this is applied to hide the triangles adhered to the back of the card base to form the triangle closure on the card front.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the Hand Penned DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream A Little Hello Card

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream A Little Hello Card

The card I am sharing today is from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set along with the Timber 3-D Embossing Folder and the Ornate Frames Dies.

My challenge for today is the Krafty Chicks Challenge — CAS.

I am also entering the challenge at Through The Craft Room Door.  Anything goes.

I started with a Basic White card stock card base embossing a panel of the same using the Timber 3-D Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped a daffodil image from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydreams stamp set using an Old Olive and Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker.  I then colored the image using an Old Olive Watercolor Pencil and Pale Papaya and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I fussy cut the image then…

popped it using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on a Basic White card stock piece that is cropped using a die from the Ornate Frame Dies.

A butterfly from the Brushed Brass Butterfly Collection is popped on a daffodil petal.  Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped around the art piece also.  The art piece is now adhered to the black and white pin dot panel (I can’t name it, it was in my paper shares and do not remember the name.)  A Bumblee Bee ribbon is wrapped around the black & white panel and tied in a know making it appear as a bow.

A greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black in on a scrap of Basic White card stock, fussy cut and popped on the card from using Mini Glue Dots.

The inside panel is stamped with the same daffodil image as the card from and colored using the same coloring.  Two small strips of the black & white pin dot paper is adhered to each side of the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the Black Pin Dot DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

If you would like to create this card all the products used are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream Celebrate Card

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream Celebrate Card

The card I am sharing today is created using the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set along with the Hive 3-D Embossing Folder

My challenge for the day is Just Us Girls Challenge  — the theme this week is Embossing Folders.

I stamped the daffodil images on a panel of Basic White card stock using Smoky Slate ink.  I colored the daffodils using So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers. Two daffodils are stamped on another panel of the card stock, colored, fussy cut, and popped on the lower portion along with an extra added to the one fussy cut to give it more dimension.

Two butterflies are stamped and colored using Balmy Blue and Pale Papya Stampin’ Blends Markers then fussy cut.  Dots are stamped around the daffodils using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set.

A greeting is stamped on a scrap of You’re A Peach DSP.  It is popped below the daffodils.  A Crumb Cake bow is made using twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack.  It is adhered to the daffodil stems using a Mini Glue Dot.

The card base is Basic White card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Hive 3-D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The art panel with the daffodils is now adhered to the card base.

A panel of Basic White is cropped using a die from the Border Dies.  A sentiment from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set is stamped in Soft Suede onto the panel. It is popped over a panel of You’re a Peach DSP.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel from the  You’re A Peach DSP applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

    • embossed panel — 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
  • In Good Taste DSP
    • background panel — 3-3/4″ x 5″
  • Basic White card stock
    • inside panel — 3-3/4″ x 5″
  • Daffodil Delight card stock

  • Simply Marbleous DSP
    • highland heather — (2) 6″ x 6″  pieces

After finishing the card, I thought it was not bright enough, so I took the Highland Heather tulips off and replaced them with Real Red.  It looked good but would have looked best if the card base had been red also,  so what did I do, I switched back to the Highland Heather ones. since the card base was Highland Heather.  Which do  you think looks best and not of this they both look good. Real opinions and thoughts.😊
