Stampin’ Up! Share What You Love

Stampin’ Up! Share What You Love

Happy Wednesday everyone and Welcome to my blog!

The card today is created using Stampin’ Up! Share What You Love Stamp Set.  I made this card a one or so ago, but never found a challenge that was suitable for it. So thank you Make My Monday and Alphabet Challenge for having one with poppies as the theme.  I know I saw a version of this card someplace, maybe from a blog post or Pinterest so if you are that person thank you,  but I can not recall your name.  I do remember it was a beautiful card and I wanted to make one like it.

The challenge…  the theme Poppies…

And this one… Alphabet Challenge — P for Poppies or Pumpkins — I chose poppies.

Poppies come in colors other than red!  Did you know that? I wanted to make my poppies purple so I researched to see if there was such a thing as a purple poppy and this is what I found.  Put purple poppies in search and you will be amazed!🙂

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock that is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Smoky Slate ink using the Stampin’ Up! Crackle Stamp.  A Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather card stock mat is embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.  The art piece is a panel of Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock stamped using the Crackle Stamp and Crumb Cake ink. Before stamping the Crackle stamp over the panel, the poppies were stamped using Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored using Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in Light and Dark Highland Heather and Light Old Olive.

Once they were colored a mask was placed over the poppies so the Crackle Stamp could be used and not cover the poppies.  Three hearts were stamped but it has been so long I forget the stamp set, but you can use any stamp set that has a small heart stamp.  Stampin’ Up! Gingham Gala Adhesive Back Sequins are randomly popped over the art piece.  A small double loop bow is made using Stampin’ Up! Linen Thread and popped on the stem of the flowers.  The greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles Stamp Set is stamped in Highland Heather ink.

The sentiment panel is a panel of Stampin’ Up! Highland Heather card stock and the sentiment is from Very Versailles and stamped in Highland Heather ink on the panel of Highland Heather card stock.

Thank you for stopping by today.   I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.

 Ink To Be Discontinued Permanently

Stampin’ Up! provided us with an update about Purple Posy Inks.  Despite their efforts to resolve issues with Purple Posy ink, they’ve learned that the ink color is still shifting over time.

All of Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive ink colors are run through a vigorous series of tests to get ahead of challenges like this, and to ensure colors are accurate and meet our standards of coordination. Purple Posy DID pass regular testing standards in time-simulating ovens, but they’ve now identified that it fell short when it came to actual time passing. The color begins to shift once the ink has rested in the ink pad for about six weeks.

This means that the color isn’t coordinating with our other colors as strictly as SU! requires.  Due to these ongoing challenges, they’ve made the difficult decision to discontinue Purple Posy classic ink as of November 5, 2019.  The following items will no longer be available to purchase:

  • Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Pad (item 150084)
  • Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill (item 150091)
  • 2019–2021 In Color Classic Stampin’ Pad Assortment (item 150087)

All other Purple Posy products (such as Purple Posy Stampin’ Write Marker, Purple Posy Cardstock, Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends, etc.) will remain available for purchase.

So – I know this is disappointing to many of you – but…I am actually pleased that SU! is taking this step.  One of the major draws of Stampin’ Up! products is the color coordination across the different products.  We can count on things matching up as we create!  And if Purple Posy isn’t “matching up” – then….this is the right thing to do!

Already purchased the ink pad a refill?  While Stampin’ Up! can’t replace Purple Posy ink pads for customers who’ve already received them, anyone with concerns regarding the color shifting properties of their Purple Posy ink pads may contact Demonstrator Support and receive a $7.50 coupon code as compensation. The coupon codes will expire on January 1, 2020.

Stampin’ Up! Back on Your Feet

Stampin’ Up! Back on Your Feet

Happy Monday!

The card I am sharing today is from the Stampin’ Up! Back on Your Feet Stamp Set.  I thought it was time to create get well cards as my stash of them is very low.

My challenges are with Sunday Stamps-AutumnWhisper.  I used 5 of the 6 colors.

And…

Sketch Saturday— I like this sketch and will save for the next time the challenge is used a previous sketch.

My card base is Stampin’ Up! Garden Green card stock with a mat of Stampin’ Up! Terracotta Tile card stock.  The next mat is for the background panel and is Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock that has been stamped in Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink using the Stampin’ Up! Crackle Paint Stamp.

The mat for the art panel is also Terracotta Tile card stock. The art image from the Stampin’ Up! Back on Your Feet Stamp Set is stamped in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Sahara Sand card stock. I colored the image using Stampin’ Up! Stampin Blends Markers in Light Old Olive, Light  Daffodil Delight, and Light Crumb Cake.

The leaves are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Old Olive and Garden Green ink on Stampin’ Up! Whisper White and Crumb Cake card stock using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature Stamp Set.  They are cropped out using the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Roots Dies. Several leaves are also cropped from Stampin Up! Perennial Essence Vellum card stock in Old Olive and So Saffron using the leaf dies from the Stampin’ Up! In The Woods Dies.  These are used to make a collage of leaves behind the art panel.

The greeting is stamped in Crumb Cake ink on a scrap of Stampin’ Up! So Saffron card stock flagged on the end and adhered to the side of the art panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The inside sentiment is stamped on a Crumb Cake panel using Garden Green ink and is matted on a Terracotta Tide card stock mat then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Glue.

To finish, I stamped a Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla envelope using the Stampin’ Up! Crackle Paint Stamp and Crumb Cake ink.  I masked off a portion for the address to be written but forgot to do one for the return address, but I use return address labels so that will be no problem.

Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride with Dashing Deer

Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride with Dashing Deer

The card I am sharing today is a combination of Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride and Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer.  They go together well.  This is the first of my Christmas cards for the season.  Christmas will be here before we can blink an eye.  The people who are on the Greek Isle Cruise received the new 2019 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog, so you can see how close it is.

My challenges for the day are with the following:   Inspire Create Challenge #047.

And…Just Add Ink #465 “The Season”.

And then there is — Paper Craft Crew Designers Choice.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock.  The card is a 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ square card.  The card front is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink using the Stampin’ Up! Crackle Paint Stamp.  The circle is also stamped with this stamp.

The circle is cut using Stampin’ Up! Layering Circle Dies.  The Stampin’ Up! Garden Green mat behind the white circle is cut free hand.  I drew the circle on a piece of the Garden Green card stock then cut a tiny border around the pencil drawing.  Before matting the circle, I stamped the trees from Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride Stamp Set using Garden Green ink.  I stamped them all the way across the card front then place the circle over them and stamped so the trees would continue across the circle.  The same was done for the deer from the Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer Stamp Set that is stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Real Red ink on a panel of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock using the Stampin’ Up!Dashing Deer Stamp Set.  The evergreens are from Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride Stamp Set and are stamped in Stampin’ Up! Garden Green Ink.  A deer from Stampin’ Up! Dashing Deer Stamp Set is stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

In finishing my card I decorated a Whisper White Envelope so it will coordinate with the color theme of the card.  I gave the envelope flap a few stamps with the evergreen stamp from the Let It Ride stamp set.  I also stamped a set of the evergreens and a deer on the card front.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I  hope you like my card and find inspiration from it.  Have a blessed day!
