Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Bijou

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Bijou

Happy Saturday, I think I said this last week, why is it even though I am retired that I always look forward to the weekend.  I retired at 48 from the DeKalb School System so I have been retired for many, many years and I still feel the same as when I was I worked. I know every day can be a weekend for us but there just seems to be things you do through the week that you do not once do the weekend rolls around just like when you worked.  Hope you are having a great one.

My card today features the Butterfly Bijou DSP and a greeting from the Gift of Hope Stamp Set along with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder and the Stitched Lace Die.

Inspiration for the design comes from the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge — sketch by Melissa Craig.

Start with a Just Jade card stock card base and layer a panel of the same that has been embossed using the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.  Crop a panel of Basic White card stock using the Stitched Lace Die. Cut a strip of the finished crop for the band across the Meadow Moments embossed panel.

A panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP is cut from a panel of the DSP and matted on a panel of Gorgeous Grape card stock.  This is adhered over the embossed panel with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder and the band of lace.

The greeting is from the Gift of Hope Stamp Set and is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock. The greeting is matted on a square of Gorgeous Grape card stock that has been cropped using a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  Fussy cut a butterfly from a panel of the Butterfly Brilliance DSP and pop on the card front.  Pop five Rhinestone Basic Jewels, colored with the Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends Marker onto the butterfly body.

The inside sentiment panel is without a sentiment so a note can be written.  A strip of the Butterfly Bijou DSP and a fussy cut butterfly from another panel of the DSP is adhered over the strip.

The medium Basic White envelope flap gets a panel of Butterfly Bijou DSP

Stampin’ Up! Birds & More

Stampin’ Up! Birds & More

Happy sunny Sunday.  It is a beautiful day for a walk or just sitting on a bench in the park with the pollen swirling around you.

My card today features the Birds & More Dies.  Pictures are the dies I used.

Inspiration for the design is from the Fab Friday  209  Challenge.

Start your creation by using the Blending Brushes, don’t you just love using these, to color a panel of Basic White card stock using  Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, Seaside Slate, and Gorgeous Grape Classic Stamp Pads.  The ink goes on so smooth using these brushes.  After coloring, cut to the size needed for the focal background panel.  Mat the panel in Basic Black card stock then adhere to the Basic White card stock base.

My little Pool Party cardstock bird found an old piece of fence that had fallen down or so he thought, it only turned out to be a square of  In Good Taste DSP instead.  He decided to perch on the two little branches that were cropped using a die from the Birds & More Dies.

He thought the Shaded Spruce card stock branch also cropped from the Birds & More Dies may give him shade from the hot Georgia sun so he left a Thank you note in Flirty Flamingo ink on a little scrap of Basic White card stock.

The sentiment panel is left blank so a more detailed thank you can be written.  A few clouds have been added in Seaside Spray ink so the panel will be a bit more interesting looking when the receiver gets the card.

The medium Basic White envelope gets clouds stenciled on the envelope flap using one of the stencils from the March Paper Pumpkin.

If you would like to create this card all the products used and the card cuts are at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! True Love

Stampin’ Up! True Love

Hey everyone! I hope you are enjoying the sunshine today after so many days without it.

The True Love DSP is featured today along with the Flower & Field DSP, a free Sale-A-Bration item with a $50.

The design inspiration for today’s card comes from the Stella Says Sketch  Challenge.

Start with a card base of Basic White card stock.

The polka dot panel used as one of the mats, I made as I did not have a polka dot piece that was the colors I wanted. The bottom portion is a panel of the Flower & Field DSP. This panel has a scalloped trim cropped from a die in the Stitched Be Mine Dies.

The next layers are a panel of Basic Black card stock, Basic White card stock, and then the focal panel, Real Red card stock, cropped using a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies for the art piece. A strip of Flower & Field DSP is adhered to the left side of this layering.

The two flowers are fussy cut from a panel of the True Love DSP and colored using Light and Dark  Real Red, Light Flirty Flamingo, and Light & Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Markers.  It is popped on the red panel using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tree Resin Hearts from the Snail Mail Suite are placed around the card front.  The greeting is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and cropped with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

A sentiment from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set is stamped in Real Red ink on a panel of Basic White card stock that is matted to a Real Red panel cropped using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. A strip of True Love DSP is adhered to the bottom of the panel. They are then adhered to the card base.

The envelope flap gets a panel of the Flower & Field DSP and your card project is finished.

Stampin’ Up! So Many Stars

Stampin’ Up! So Many Stars

Three days and all your prepping for the big event will be over and you can let a sigh of relief come out.  It is not the holiday but all the prepping you are relieved from.  This year if Susan Stanley, a stampin’ teammate on Amy’s Inkin Krew had not sent me an ornament, I would not even had an ornament to display for Christmas.  All of mine are still in storage.   I feel my whole life is in storage at the moment.

My design inspiration comes from the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge.

The card base is Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy card stock with a panel of the same embossed using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle Embossing Folder.  A strip of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card stock is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy ink using a stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Floating and Fluttering Stamp Set.  I saw this on one of Amy Koender’s cards so I am CAS(E)ing.

The stars are from Stampin’ Up!  Stitched Stars Dies and is cropped from Whisper White card stock.  The jewels that are randomly placed are from the Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  It is hard to see the embossing on the embossed panel but visible in the lower corner.  The tiny flag is a scrap left from another card made.  I cut a small strip and flagged it and popper under the solid Night of Navy star.  The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set.

The Whisper White card stock sentiment panel is left blank for a note to be written.  It does have a single star from the Stitched Star Dies.

A Whisper White envelope gets art work stamped on the flap from the Floating & Fluttering Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!

Stampin’ Up! Dove of Hope

Stampin’ Up! Dove of Hope

Good Day everyone.  Have a great one!

The stamp set I am sharing today is Stampin’ Up! Dove of Hope Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Detailed Dove Dies

Dream Valley Challenge is one of the challenges I am playing today.  The theme is Christmas.

And Make My Monday Challenge.  Their theme is also Christmas.

This was a simple and easy card to do.  All that was required was to cut the layers which is an easy task and crop the dove from the Stampin’ Up! Detailed Dove Dies and pop it on the card front.  I used glue dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, and Multipurpose Liquid Glue in popping it on.  The background panel is from a Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bough Dies to crop the greenery and the twig in the dove’s beak.  It does show very well but I placed one of the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels behind the eye.  The greenery has a tiny linen bow created using Stampin’ Up! Linen Twine.

The greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Dove of Hope Stamp Set and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.  I have no inside sentiment for now until I can decide which one and the person receiving the card.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day.  My hope and wish are that you will be inspired to create amazing creations yourself.  Any questions you may have, you know you can always contact me.  Have a blessed day!
