Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome! It that time, the 2nd Tuesday of the month  you have been waiting for with excitement, a fun team blog hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.   The theme for this month is “Birthday”. You are in for a treat seeing all the talent these ladies present to you. Sit back with your favorite beverage and enjoy.  You will see cards that will  inspire you to get creative as you jump from blog to blog.

The card I am sharing today for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop is created using Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set and Dies, along with Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.  There is a diagram and card cuts at the end of the post showing how to cut and score.  My card is a CAS of Connie Stewart’s card.

  1. Score and fold on the score lines in an accordion style.  Using a pencil make a mark 1-1/4″ down from the top of the card on the left side.  Cut from the pencil mark up to the 3″ score line.  You can see the diagram at the bottom. There is a red line showing where to cut.
  2. Adhere the  Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper to the Boho Blue cardstock mats.  I found it easier to start with the largest triangle to adhere to the card base.  Placing adhesive only on the left edge of the triangle and at the bottom.  You want to leave the top open for the little card or gift card.
  3. On the 2nd largest triangle place adhesive on the longest side of the triangle and adhere, you can see in the photo how it is adhered.  I placed the triangle on the middle section before adding adhesive and made a tiny pencil mark so I would know how far to place the adhesive on the back of the triangle.
  4. Repeat this step for the small triangle that is in front.
  5. On a piece of Basic White cardstock stamp in Boho Blue ink the large daisy from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set.  Stamp the center of the daisy using Copper Clay ink. Using the matching die from the Cheerful Daisies dies, die cut the daisy.
  6. 2023-2025 In Color Dots are popped around the card front and onto the little Basic White card.
  7. In Boho Blue ink, stamp a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set on the top of the little Basic White card.
  8. Choose a daisy image from the stamp set and stamp the daisy in Boho Blue ink, stamp the daisy center in Copper Clay ink, and last stamp the stem and leaves for the daisy in Wild Wheat ink.
  9. On the inside of the little Basic White card, stamp in Boho Blue ink a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.
  10. In the lower right corner of the card stamp in Boho Blue ink a flower image from Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.
  11. A Basic White envelope gets a piece of the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap.

  • Ready to Join our team?  Click HERE  for more information. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that you get to pre-order before a new catalog  launches so you are able to show your customers what they can look forward to having when the new catalog comes out.  You will also be getting at least a 20% discount on purchases. If you love card making as a hobby, you can still be a demonstrator and get that discount to help get more card making items,  or you can be like I was and buy Stampin’ Up! products for 10 years before I became wise enough to become a demonstrator to get the discount.  When I think of all the stamping products that 20% would have brought over those 10 years, I cringe.

Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasion with Cheerful Daisies and Charming Sentiments

Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasion with Cheerful Daisies and Charming Sentiments

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set and Very Best Occasions stamp set.  I also used a daisy die from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Dies along with Fresh As A  Daisy Designer Series Paper, the stripes embossing folder from Stripes & Splatter 3D Embossing Folders and Timeworn Tile 3D Embossing Folder.

My card today is a tent fold or that is what I call it, maybe it does have another name.  I suppose it is considered a fun fold.  I like this fold especially if I am sending to an older person who like to display their cards.  I started with a Basic White card stock card base.  I embossed a panel of the same using Timeworn Tile 3D Embossing Folder, adhering the panel to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I embossed a piece of Basic White card stock using the Stripes folder from Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder. Before embossing, I made a swipe with my Crushed Curry stamp down the embossing folder to create yellow stripes. After swiping the ink pad over the embossing folder, I carefully place my card stock in the embossing folder and ran it through the Emboss & Cut machine.  I matted the piece on a piece of Azure Afternoon card stock, adhering the piece to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I fussy cut daisies from a piece of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper.  I added these daisies using Stampin’ Dimensionals to a panel from another piece of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper, matted on a piece of Azure Afternoon card stock. This panel is popped over the Crush Curry piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems from Tinsel Gems Four Pack are popped around the card front.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasion stamp set is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a piece of Basic White card stock, fussy cut and popped over a piece of Azure Afternoon 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack.

As this is a tent card, the sentiment goes on the back of the card instead of inside.   Here again, I used a piece of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper matted to a piece of Azure Afternoon card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink onto the panel.  The daisy motif from Cheerful Daisies Dies is die cut from a piece of Basic White card stock.  I cut the flowers apart and placed around the sentiment using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The panel is then adhered to the card base using the same glue.

To create the tent, I cut a piece of Basic White card stock 3″ x 4-1/8″ scoring at 1-1/2″ and then scoring on each side of the 4-1/8″ side at 1/4″.  I adhered this piece to the card base using Tear & Tape.  If you would like to see another card I made last year using the tent fold you can click here.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Fresh As A Daisy applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Ways — Just Way To Say…

Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Ways — Just Way To Say…

I’m sharing another beautiful card that I just had to make.  I got the idea from another of Elizabeth Price’s cards on Pinterest.  I loved the idea she shared about the lantern. I used  Stampin’ Up! Lighting The Way stamp set and Dies along with Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set and Dies.

My card base is Pretty Peacock card stock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″.  Fold as you would for a regular card, then fold a mountain fold at the 2-2/4″ score line.  This will create the part that become the easel to adhere your card front.

I cut two panel of Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper, one for the card front background and one for the inside.  Using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Perched in A Tree stamp set and White Craft Stampin’ Ink, I stamped the dots all over the Masterfully Made DSP panels.  One is adhered to the card front, the other to the inside using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.    A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a piece of Basic White card stock, a hole is punched using a basic hole punch  to punch a hole and a length of gray twine from Basic Twine Essential Pack is tied in a bow.  The twine was first tied through the lantern handle.  I flipped the greeting up so the entire front of the card can be seen.  You can see in the first photo how the tag hangs down the side of the card.

The lantern die is pressed into the Smoky Slate stamp pad to ink the die. The die is then carefully lifted and placed on the Basic White card stock and die cut.  The ink comes off creating an aged look.  A piece of Vellum is punch with a circle punch, colored using Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Blends Markers.  The Vellum is adhered to a Basic White circle punch with the circle punch, then adhered to the back of the lantern creating the illusion of a flame.  The lantern is popped on the card front using Stampin’  Dimensionals. Daisies are stamped in Berry Burst ink on Basic White card stock, die cut and popped on the card front around the lantern with the greenery that has been stamped in Coastal Cabana ink.  The fireflies are stamped in Bubble Bath ink.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms stamp set is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on a piece of Basic White card stock is die cut using a die from Deckled Rectangle Dies.  It is adhered to the inside of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets a panel of Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies — Love & Big Hugs!!

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies — Love & Big Hugs!!

The card I am sharing today is an easel card.  They are so simple and easy to make.  I used Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set and Dies, Basic 3 D Embossing Folder, a sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set and Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper.

I am entering the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge for this card.  I choose the top row.

I started with a Basic White  card stock base cut 4-1/4″ x 11″. I then scored the piece at 2-1/8″ and 5-1/2″.  I folded and creased well.  The mountain fold of the 2-1/8″ piece because the piece you attach the card front to using adhesive of your choice.  I used Tear & Tape.

I embossed two pieces of Moody Mauve Designer Series Paper using an embossing folder from Basic 3 D Embossing Folders.  I also, embossed a piece of Basic White card stock. I then layered these together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  To the last panel of Moody Mauve, I added a panel cut from Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper.

I stamped a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set on a scrap of Basic White card stock using Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  I then die cut the greeting out using a die from Sending Smiles Dies.  I popped it on the bottom of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I colored Rhinestone Basic Jewels using a Dark Moody Mauve Stampin’ Blends Marker.

I die cut a daisy from Basic White, Bubble Bath, and Moody Mauve card stock. I layered and popped on the inside Moody Mauve card stock panel embossed using a embossing folder from Basic 3 D Embossing Folders.  I added leaves left over from another card.  I popped two Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored using a Dark Moody Mauve Stampin’ Blends Markers.  This daisy is the stop for the easel.

A Basic White Medium Envelope  get a panel of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies — Time To Celebrate

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies — Time To Celebrate

The card I am sharing today is created with  Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set, a stamp set from the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

I am entering Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge for this card.

The Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper does most of the work except for the greeting.  I cut two panels of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper, one from each side of the panel of Designer Series Paper.  I used one as the mat, the other as the background  panel. Three narrow strips of the Designer Series Paper is cut, flagged on the end and adhered in the middle of the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper.

A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set is stamped in Copper Clay ink (this is one of the new 2023-2025 In colors) on a piece of Basic White card stock and die cut using a die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies.  Three Adhesive Backed Solid Gems are popped on the greeting and on the background panel.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set is stamped in Copper Clay ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  The Basic White panel is matted on a panel of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper.  A daisy is fussy cut from a panel of the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper and popped in the corner of the Basic White panel.

Basic White Medium Envelope  gets a piece of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper applied to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
