Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments — Hey There

Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments — Hey There

I am using Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set, Timbers 3-D Embossing Folder, and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper to create the card I am sharing today.

I am entering the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge for this card.  Their theme is Spring and I believe the flowers on my card are springy.

  1. Start with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ Basic White card stock card base.  Cut 3-1/4″ off the bottom of the card front.  From the piece cut off, cut five 1/2″ x 4-1/4″ strips.  Cut the strip that is left in half, this gives you two strips that will be used to anchor the other strips together.
  2.   With the sticky side out adhere a piece of Washi Tape to the middle of the card front so you can position the strips on the card front.
  3. Start at the bottom for the first strip, next place a strip at the top, leaving a space between the strip and the card base.  Place a strip in the middle.
  4. Wait until you have all the strips positioned before pressing down on the tape. If you need to adjust the space between the strips it will be easier to do if they are not stuck tight to the Washi Tape.
  5. Place a dot of Liquid Glue on both sides on each strip .  Adhere the two narrow strips, one to each side of the lattice.   I waited until I had both strips in place so I could adjust if necessary.
  6. Turn the card base over so the Washi Tape is showing and gently remove the tape. Pressing down on each strip as you pull the tape will help prevent tearing the card stock.
  7. This is how the card front looks after you have finished with all the strips and trimming the excess from the bottom of the card.
  8. Cut a piece of a window sheet 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and adhered to the inside of the lattice front.  I did this for stability. I did not do this on other cards I made. You can see a fun fold I made using this technique here.

I fussy cut flowers from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper (soon to be retired). I die cut two vines from Mossy Meadow card stock using a die from Dainty Flower Dies. A butterfly is die cut from a scrap of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper using a die from Brilliant Wings Dies (soon to be retired).

I arranged the two vines die cut from the Mossy Meadow card stock on the card front starting at the bottom right corner.  I layered the fussy cut flowers from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper over the vines.  After I had them arranged the way I wanted, I took a picture so I could remember placement when I adhered them to the card from.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the vines and Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the flowers over the vines.

I added the Brilliant Wings butterfly to the right side of the lattice then stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock a greeting using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set. Add three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front, placing one on the butterfly.

I stamped a sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink using a die from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set.  Around the sentiment, I adhered a Mossy Meadow vine and flowers fussy cut from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  I adhered two larger flowers to the bottom of the lattice over the window sheet using Glue Dots.  I also used Glue Dots adhering the flowers over the vine.

Basic White medium envelope gets a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Playing In The Rain — Hey There!

Stampin’ Up! Playing In The Rain — Hey There!

This was a fun card to create.  This is just a friendly card wishing a friend a happy day.  I used Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper, February 2023 Paper Pumpkin, Sunshine & Smiles, Raindrops Embossing Folder, and Stampin’ Up! Playing In The Rain stamp set and Playing In The Rain Dies to create this card.

I used a card base from the Sunshine & Smiles Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I embossed a panel of Balmy Blue card stock using the Raindrops Embossing Folder, adhering to the inside panel so the raindrops would show through the opening.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from Sentiment Silhouettes Dies.  The greeting is popped in the upper corner using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a gray panel behind the opening on the card front. I cropped a bridge from Crumb Cake card stock using a die from Playing In The Rain Dies.  I popped this across the opening on the card front.  The cute Tommy Turtle is posted on one end of the bridge Roscoe Rabbit is posted on the other end.  They are so happy to be out in the sunshine once again, now that Spring is here.

Tommy Turtle has picked his Mom a flower from the flowers on the hill that appears in the open window.  A spring rain shower has just passed leaving a cloud and puddle behind that Roscoe Rabbit decided it would be fun to jump in. Roscoe Rabbit thought we need a bit of bling so he looked in the Sunshine & Smiles Paper Pumpkin and found just what he was looking for, taking a few in his hand, he threw them into the air. One of the gems landed at Tommy Turtle’s foot, one landed on the greeting and the other was coming back to land near him.

A piece of Old Olive card stock is cut to create a hill and embossed using one of the dies from Basic 3D Dies.  I think this die gives the appearance of grace blowing in the wind.  Freddie Frog and Charley Chick love the grass to play in. Charley Chick may decide to go pluck the centers out of the flowers on the hill, while Freddie Frog is thinking of joining Roscoe Rabbit in the puddle.  They are singing Happy Spring, happy, happy everything.  They found this sentiment on their Aunt Amy’s Pinterest when Happy Spring was popped in the search feature then came the task of finding the long-retired stamp set.

I used one of the envelopes from Sunshine & Smiles Paper Pumpkin Kit to go with this card.

Stampin’ Up! Joyful Flurry with Charming Sentiments Perched In A Tree

Stampin’ Up! Joyful Flurry with Charming Sentiments Perched In A Tree

I am entering the Can You Handle The Pressure? Challenge with the Option of Snow.

I am also entering the Global Design Project.  I turned my card portrait instead of landscape.

Also, I  am entering Tuesday Morning Sketches Annual Anything Goes Challenge.

I will say I CASed Karen Ksenzakovic’s card from September 29.  It must have stuck in my memory for I was sure surprised yesterday when I opened her Christmas card and it was almost the same card.  Karen, I must have loved it so that I kept it stored away, thanks. Wanting to give her credit, I looked and looked through her blog thinking, I could find it and it finally dawned on me to put it in search on her blog. Karen’s is the one on the right.

I started with a piece of Soft Succulent card stock, embossing a piece of the same using one of the embossing folders from Wintry 3D Embossing Folders.  I also embossed a piece of Vellum using the same embossing folder.  I cropped a snowflake from the Frosted Flurry Dies from a scrap of Basic White card stock.

I stamped the bird from Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree stamp set in Memento Black ink and colored it using Crumb Cake, Soft Succulent, So Saffron, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.  The branch is colored using a Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker.  I cropped leaves from Copper Foil and from Gold Foil from the Gold & Rose 6′ x 6″ Metallic Speciality Paper.  A snowflake is cropped using a die from the Frosted Flurry Dies.  A greeting from Stampin’ Up! Joyful Flurry stamp set is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock and cropped using a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. All the layers and elements are arranged and adhered to the card base using either Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals. Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots are popped around the card front.

On a panel of Basic White card stock, I stamped snowflakes from Stampin’ Up! Joyful Flurry stamp set in Soft Succulent ink in corners of the panel.  I stamped sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set in Soft Succulent ink also, the panel is then adhered to the card base.  Two Brushed Metallic Adhesive Back Dots are popped in the center of the snowflakes.

I suppose you can call this a Fun Fold as it has a bridge for having it stand up easier.  Or maybe it can be called a card with an inside bridge. To create the bridge cut a piece of Soft Succulent card stock 3-1/4″ x 4″, score 3/8″ on each 4″ side then score at 1-5/8″, this will be the middle of the card.  I adhered the 3/8″ side to the bottom of the card using Tear & Tape.

A Basic White medium envelopes get a panel of Texture Chic Designer Series Paper added to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you took the time to linger and look at my other blog post and cards and that you will join me on my stamping journey as I share my cards with you each day. Stampin’ Up! Fitting Florets Thinking of You

Stampin’ Up! Fitting Florets Thinking of You

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set, Deckled Rectangle Dies, and Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

I am joining the Try Stamping On Tuesday challenge for today.

I started with a Basic White card stock card base, adding a layer of Basic White card stock embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.  It is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a piece of Soft Succulent card stock as a mat for the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper.  I colored the berries on the Designer Series Paper using a Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker.  I then adhered the piece to the Soft Succulent card stock mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The piece is then popped over the Timber 3D Embossed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels are popped in the upper left corner.

A piece of Basic White card stock is cropped using a die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies.  Since there is not a die for the size I needed, I cropped the piece a second time to make the size I needed.  I stamped in Evening Evergreen ink a greeting from Stampin’ Up! By My Side stamp set.  I fussy cut leaves and berries from the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper and popped them on the greeting piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the greeting piece over the corner of the Fitting Florets Designer Series panel.  I popped three of the berries at the top of the greeting panel to give the appearance of berries hanging over.

A sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  A spray of leaves and berries is fussy cut and adhered to the corner using Multipurpose Glue.

A Basic White envelope gets a piece of Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose

The card I am sharing today is created using Stampin’ Up! Cottage Flowers Dies, Charming Sentiments stamp set, Handmade Tags Punch, and Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper.

I am entering the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.  I chose down the right side die cut, layers, and Autumn colors.

I started with a Crumb Cake card stock card base with a layer of Early Espresso card stock that becomes the mat for the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper focal panel.

I cut and colored a panel of Abigail Rose Designer Paper using Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends.  I cut a piece of Early Espresso card stock for a mat for the Crumb Cake card stock piece.  I embossed the Crumb Cake piece using Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folder.

I cropped flowers from Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, and Early Espresso card stock using a die from Cottage Flowers Dies.  Using a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set I stamped leaves in Early Espresso on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. I cropped them using a die from the Cottage Flowers Dies.  Now that all the pieces have been cut, colored, and embossed it is time to put all the pieces together to create the card.  Multipurpose Liquid Glue is used to adhere the pieces together.  Stampin’ Dimensionals are used to pop the embossed piece over the focal panel.   The Handmade Tag label is popped over the embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals after stamping a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set in Crumb Cake ink.  The dimensionals are positioned down the middle of the label so  I am able to pop the Cottage Flowers around the label.  Glossy Dots are popped around the card front.

A panel of Basic White card stock gets a greeting from Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments stamp set stamped in Early Espresso ink.  A border of Early Espresso card stock is adhered to the left side of the card while flowers from the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper are colored and adhered at the bottom of the panel.

A medium Basic White envelope gets a panel of Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper adhered to the envelope flap using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
